Cool video. Plenty of power on the freeway for me. About 8,000 rpms @80mph does not stress the engine and it's in the powerband for passing even from there. One elbow on the tank and a tuck in the wind and I'm good to go. It reduces the force of a side windblast significantly. Subscribed.
As a motorbike rider of 20 plus years, eventually you just get use to it and don’t really notice it unless it is a particularly bad day. I’ve own both the R3 and current ninja 400. Loved and love both. Very practical.
@@florme6494 With someone with your amount of experience, how do you pass Semi trucks on a windy day? A couple times on my 400 it almost felt like I was being sucked under the Semi's wheels. Scared the crap out of me. Do you recommend just following behind them and not risking it? Should I be pick up extra speed when passing them? Thanks
@@Josh-cw8by I never follow behind a semi. They tend to spit up rocks that really hurt especially when hit in the shin. Their tyres can also come flying at you. Plus they obscure your view. To be honest when passing a Semi I don’t even think about it. Generally I just lean in the opposite direction ready for a gust of wind (that will come). The more you do it, the easier it becomes. I definitely pass with controlled and consistent pace. Never linger. Never throttle or brake on and off. It’d be interesting to hear other people’s thoughts as I don’t like to give others advice only my personal past experiences that work for me.
I went from a GSF250 to an R3 prior to purchasing the 400. You're confused because I also used the word "upgrade" to describe my jump from the GSF250 to the R3.

I'll try tuck in more to combat the crosswinds. Thanks for the support, I appreciate it!
