Hi! I want to share the link for the entire season of Winter Golf Project. Here it is! ➫ ua-cam.com/play/PL0uaI4r3925SEjSGuyuWaTE8unpmjsqnx.html (한국어 Korean 버전 ➫ ua-cam.com/video/anjO2jSSyIU/v-deo.html)
I've been coming down too steeply lately, so I'll definitely work on setting the club and delaying my hands. Thx, Aimee, for explaining how to improve my sequencing!
This video combined with the other about setting the club absolutely changed my game, I've been working really hard on the hip turn/transition the last year or so, and these two videos were the last piece I needed. Ty Aimee!
I just tried this weight shift technique today Aimee and it works fantastic. Iron shots are nice and crisp and longer, straighter than before. Also I think this may have cured my early hip extension!! Thanks
OK, I just want to say that I'm stupid. I watched this about 2 weeks ago and started doing it and it worked great. Then I started watching other UA-cam "coaches" and seeing what they had to say about the transition and downswing. Tried to incorporate what they were saying. Now that my swing is screwed up again, I'm watching this video again to go back to what I should have been doing for the past 2 weeks instead of trying to fix "what ain't broke." Aimee, you are still the best coach, at least for me.
I think many of us have done the same thing as you. I've stopped watching other videos to "tweak" my golf swing even more. It's not necessary. Aimee is giving us the straight dope! Though it takes a bit of practice (and acceptance), the golf swing is done in a specific order as she points out.
I would have liked to see a reference to how this can be made the wrong way, leading to 'getting stuck' and coming too much from the inside. I think too much separation together with a 'hands move down' movement can lead to very inside-out paths?
Aimee can really teach. Her concept of setting the golf club at the top of backswing using the index finger...solid gold advice for my game. Really made a difference to getting my body uncoiling in the right order. Thank you Aimee.
Thanks Aimee, you explain the transition so well. I like the way your mind works because you take something complex and simplify it so well. I learned so much!
At about 6 minutes you say you’ve got to stick with this and learn how to use this move. Very important. I’m taking lessons now for the first time in my 10 years of golf and it took me awhile to learn that new moves will make you worse, but after a week or two of hard practice it becomes a natural part of my swing. It’s a good feeling when it clicks and feels normal
HAHAHAHAHA “that was such a long time ago” that was the funniest thing I’ve heard all week. Way to bust that out in a golf instruction clinic. Love this girl
Great lesson again, Aimee. I’ve had that feeling after a few drives that I thought I screwed up completely and ended up crushing them. I never knew how to do that again until you just explained it. Can’t wait to practice it. 😎
This is an area I’ve struggled with, and at first listen Aimee sounds quite hectic, but she breaks everything down so completely and makes it easy to follow, exceptional teaching. 👍🏼
Beautiful, powerful and simple lesson Aimee! I just dug up one of ping pong paddles and I am going to be working on my transition feelings and motion at home and on the range over the next two weeks. Thanks for sharing and making learning the proper golf swing fun, impactful and Aimee - fied!
This is really good teaching.. I have different feeling but its basically the same thing.. It all start with the grip but beyond that i feel like i do a little weight shift dance with my hips, This is all done on the backswing and as you plant forward to finish the dance it's like you just wait for gravity to pull your shoulders and arms.. It happens in a split second and once you feel that gravity feeling like your upper arms shoulders are falling a millisecond later you get the momentum and just free wheel so fast that hands and arms catch up with the end of your dance. it feels like you can hit the ball as hard as you want and it's the way to square the clubface. The subtle rotation of body shoulders and arms square everything.. It takes a lot of practice but even when you get it slightly wrong at the top the shots are still struck better and much more powerful.. You hear people talk about Using the ground for power or pushing down into the ground.. It's all the same but people feel it and they have many different ways to explain it. When you feel it you will understand how it's been explained but will probably have some other feelings you prefer to explain it but it's all the same thing once you can do it.. Just experiment shifting weight through Feet, legs and hips in a rythm and then try to match your swing up..
Great stuff. From playing tennis I realized swinging with something weighted helps your body feel the correct movements in particular the kinetic chain where power comes from the ground up. Swinging the Momentus club or something weighted your body will automatically get the sequence right.
Yes. I need very heavy swing weighted clubs. Difference is massive in terms of distance. Hit 8 iron 160 carry versus about 130-135 with normal weighted clubs.
Good video simple and informative and drop as a result of shoulder turn on the downswing hands and arms are then in the slot and after that do you then go ahead and hit the ball with the arms in the hands also to set the wrists at the top or hands for full extension of the right hand should you use your right arm and right shoulder thanks for your help kindly advise Jack
I have been playing golf for many years. I always have a problem with transferring a lot of weight. The results are therefore uneven. Until I came across your clip. Even found nirvana Thank you a billion times.
Been practicing this last 3 days on lawn no ball and it's amazing when i do it correctly with way more swing speed, I had more of an arm swing like you demonstrated as it wasn't in this sequence. If my old swing speed was 105 mph with with driver what do you think it will be now with correct transition?
My transition has been quite similar except my upswing is not high enough to provide platform for power .? Yr drill demo really inspired me a lot to improve
You said leave your hands up there as long as possible. That will be called getting stuck. Either you will block it to the right or you will have to play catch up with your arms and hands.
Just had a lesson last week and this is exactl what I have to work on at the moment......I think you explained it even better than my local pro. ..Great drill to work on.
Excellent explanation of the transition, I’ll work on this in the morning. Aimee, I’m thinking about getting a golf net & mat for my backyard. Is the net you are using still available, are you happy with it? If not, do you have any suggestions? Besides hitting balls I would like to video my swing. Thanks again⛳️
Thank you Aimee. Great transition explanation. Explain the difference of 20 yards when I felt that my swing felt boring compare to my hard arm swing! I love to have a boring swing!
well, the left side of the right forearm initiates the downswing, when the muscle is fully activated. the left side of the chest reacts against the arm and turns to the left. you can check this out by swinging with just your right arm- no club. also, the feet react against the arms, when they have swung back as far as they can, by pressing down on the ground. and, this pulls the hands down and around. and, the wrist joint keeps pushing back in the transition, also. this increases swing coil in the start of the downswing.
No disrespect meant but I've seen soooo many instructional videos what put emphasis on bringing the arms and hand in front of the body without all the lower body movement first in order to sequence properly. The body will naturally react and move out of the way. I've read and heard that 85-90% of the power comes from the arms, hands and wrists during the downswing and that the lower body only stabilizes the swing and adds 10-15% at best.
Good luck to any amateur playing/practicing twice a week to get this move down consistently. Ain't gonna happen. Majority of speed comes from upper torso and arms /wrists. Focus on speeding those up.
Oh. Ok. Nice. Great explanation. Sometimes I get this right accidentally and the ball flies much farther with a baby draw and it feels like I had all the time in the world with less effort.... but being strong can be a hindrance most times in golf. Practice so much I can have a poor sequence and still hit straight but not too far and shoot respectable scores. But the times I could get the sequence correct distance increased 20 yds with all the irons. Thanks for giving me such A clear picture of right vs. wrong!

Good advice. Is that jabong? Nice tree.
You're the best coach on UA-cam.. Thanks to your videos.. I've been getting more pars.. Thank you so much.
This is exactly what I have been looking for! I've been hitting it fat and no one could offer a practice fix. Thank you so much!
I've been coming down too steeply lately, so I'll definitely work on setting the club and delaying my hands. Thx, Aimee, for explaining how to improve my sequencing!

Great visual lesson, thanks Aimee
You are simply great. I love watching your lesson's. Keep it up.
It's very useful for me.....Thank you Ammie.🥰
I think that transition is good for Mcilroy kinda swing and grip. The right hand is full bent back at
backswing.
Great advice
Great lesson Aimee, fluid motion with sequencing is so Important in the swing. Happy New Year!

Thanks!
Thank you 😊

This video has been a massive help. After years of trying I think I am actually doing a proper golf swing now!
This is literally game changing Aimee. Thank you, your a wonderful teacher ❤
This is the best explanation I’ve heard about transition. Excellent. I love “ameefication.”!!!
This was really well done. If only there were more coaches like you!
Such a brilliant video. Just tried it at the range and feels great
This is an area I’ve struggled with, and at first listen Aimee sounds quite hectic, but she breaks everything down so completely and makes it easy to follow, exceptional teaching. 👍🏼
Thanks Aimee. Now I understand the correct sequence of transition👍

Good tips. Comprehensive explanation!
amazing video, Aimee. Great job. Great lesson. Thanks a lot
Coming back after an 8 year layoff - three months in. Aimee you are the best coach online. Nobody teaches like you.
Your are very good and super funny! Thanks
What’s the green pad / grass pad your using ? I need a new big one. Thanks !
the best demonstration Ive seen.(and Ive watch A LOT)
When i weight shift as u said, head moves a lot and causes topping of the ball.
This is such a great drill to understand the different ways the body moves! I am looking forward to my next range session!
Great lesson! You’re the best, Aimee. 😊
I love you
Excellent video and explanation. More information to help me be less armsy. Can’t wait to work on it. Thank you again!
Great explanation. Thank you.
if only I had seen this video 2 years ago when i took up golf
Great lesson again. I've never seen a lesson on transition like this. 👍
Very well 👏 👌 explained 👏 👌 Aimee
Easy and understanding very good
Thank you Aimee. Great transition explanation. Explain the difference of 20 yards when I felt that my swing felt boring compare to my hard arm swing! I love to have a boring swing!
Exactly. Its almost too easy. You can't believe it and then you try to hit even farther with the hands and arms! Bad idea!
I'm ways scared I won't hit the ball

Absolutely agree with investing on this movement. It removes the fear of hitting behind with fairway woods / longer clubs
BEST VIDEO EVER !!!!
Still struggling with my transition. Great tips on the downswing sequence, hip-shoulder-hands-clubs. Gonna try it. Thanks.👍
