Enjoy!
I have given your address UA-cam channel to many people who need help learning how to use their computers. Thank you so much for your time and effort in teaching. I am learning so much.
Where have you been all of my life?!? I've had my MacBook Pro for almost 3 years, and I have learned more in the last 45 minutes than in all of my Apple one-to-one sessions combined! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!
This lesson was FANTASTIC. Six months ago I switched from a PC to a Mac. I have been going to classes and have learned a lot, but making a cd looked impossible. I was planning on taking my Mac to the apple store with all of my attachments and aiming to understand the cd problem. You explained it so beautifully. I just made two CD's
Simply GREAT..coming from a PC I dreaded the move but since my password for microsoft is microsoftsucks the change was long overdue. Theses classes have made the change easy. Good format and, unlike other classes, instructor explains things and does not assume you already know something..THANKS
You have an abundance of knowledge in as far as I have seen, everything Tech. Whenever I have a problem or question that just seems to nag the hell out of me I will go looking for your answers to these problems. Keep your informative videos coming as they become more and more valuable for me, each day.
OMG!!! So VERY WONDERFUL to watch this. I can understand EVERY WORD YOU SAY, and you do not rush through the information; so clear and concise. THANK YOU!!!
Just went to your online classes, I’m new to Macbook which I just picked one up and must say it’s nothing like my ipad pro. Since I’ve came from windows I have t a clue what i’m doing. Thank you so much for your classes, I can’t wait to start.
This is a very nige program specials who are a beginners like me. This is a very big help for me and to others. Thanks for this wonderful classes and tutorial. Your so great in creating this program. Thank you very much.
Hi David Thanx for clear voice and descriptions at last a well designed simple explanation to every thing needed to know. I have downloaded every mavericks video into a file so that I can study them all without losing any of them.
David, I saw this learning video, and I am amaze of how you showed me how to do things with Mac, I am converting to Mac OS, new user and I would like to thank you. I hope you continue to do this.
again, what a great teacher and video. I love that I can follow along on my computer. stop the video, try it out then resume. Organized great and all info is relevent to each other.
Fantastic tutorial... I thought I knew a lot of things, but after actually doing what your were showing in the video I organized my mac in a complete different way. It really helped. Thanks a lot!!!
I love David A. Cox. He is Real Teacher. He taught like, os is peace of cake. I believe if I can learn anything in david.s class any one can do it too. Best of Luck David!!!!!!
This is so helpful! From these videos I now have 100% to buy a macbook! I was apprehensive at first because I've had a PC all my life and was worried that I would have no clue what I was doing! David's videos have helped me make the decision to switch plus I find it super interesting and get hooked to find out other good tips and tricks! Thanks so much :)

Pro tip for anyone using a hackintosh or switching from a PC... in the keyboard settings, remap your command key (if you are not using a mac keyboard, the command key is the key with the windows logo on it) to the control key. Most shortcuts that you would be used to now use command not control, so you don't have to retrain your fingers.
A very handy little app for ejecting flash drives is called 'CleanMyDrive'. It allows you to eject all your plugged in drives with one click or individually eject them. You can also go to Disk Utility from it too. But the handiest (if that is a word) feature is on each drive you can opt to have clean drive switched on. This helps if you are using the flash drive between mac and pc. What it does is cleans off all those hidden mac files before ejecting. Very handy if you are plugging the flash drive into a tv to play slides in a slide show. It is free on Apple's App Store.
Hi, thank you very much for this, extremely beneficial to me. You are a fine teacher. Please keep in mind that not everyone knows the "language"; ex- I knew what you meant by drop and drag or whatever it is, but I often do not know this language. Can you tell me where to go (oops, well, you know what I mean) to get help with actual word processing (how to use the features of Pages- indenting, fonts, moving things around, spacing, all of it ) for someone who knows the laptop fairly well. Your tutorial about Pages tells us what is there but not how to use the individual features. I would enjoy YOU teaching me these things. Thanks again, Joseph
Thank you so much for these videos! I just switched to Mac and I'm feeling like an 80 year old woman who can't even copy and paste lol. Super helpful thank you!
very helpful video if you recently got into Macs. Thanks. I finally found the equivalent of the right click (in windows), really, thanks. Now I can see at least some of the exif info in my photos.
I love how every program in os x works the same way. I don't need to burn cds, my macbook does not have a cd drive. I do not use Chrome for 3 Reasons: - Lastpass for Safari. It exists, the main reason i like syncing - Chrome is a real battery hog on my Macbook Air. In Safari i can easily do 9 hours, when i use chrome i am happy if i get 6 hours - I use Safari on my iPhone. And i really like the Sync between a Macbook and a iPhone.
Hi, I would like to know more about Mac Advanced Finder, How to have finder search only the contents of a folder not the contents of the subfolders inside that folder.
Hey David, Thanks for tutorial. How do we use Paste special option to keep format of copied text from excel and paste it to mail. Example - if i want to copy random two rows and 8 columns cells from my excel data sheet to mail in a same format, let say i have edited font and colours to some cells. The problem i face while pasting it to mail is format changes to default text and it removes all cells format and tables.
I’m not sure what you really mean but I use both chrome and safari for various things and they both synchronize across all my devices without problems.
Thank you so much for the awesome videos! I have a (27-inch, Mid 2011)iMac, it disconnects from internet as soon it goes to sleep, I was wondering if there is a fix for this issue. regards.
David- your tutorial on Organizing Stuff was just reviewed by me and since you reference PC commands and Apple commands your training was crystal clear. The main problem I have had for a long time is how to use folders, files etc on my MacBook (after years using Microsoft's system). Thanks so much for providing a means to bridge the systems gap, moving from a Dell PC to a MacBook.

Superbe vidéo. Très bien expliqué. J'ai mon Mac depuis 4 ans et j'ai encore appris quelque petit truc bien utile. Merci.
Excellent video. Love how you get right to the meat of the instruction, and don't assume everybody is cognizant. One thing puzzles me in Mail - I have a bunch of email addresses, and in Windows Mail am able to have a 'Storage' folder where I can archive the ones I don't have time to read yet or want to keep for reference. I know I can send them to Evernote, just haven't gotten to that point yet. Is there a way to do that in Apple Mail?
David, when I open up finder, the heading is recents. In recents I can view all of the documents I created in pages. How do I apply putting what I want into a folder from recents?
I'm a new new user iMac. It's very informative, easy to understand. Would you tell me how to change my signature on my email . Thank so much for your help.
Thank you very much for this material. I'm planning to get a MacBook Air at some point in the future and I was curious how does OS X Mavericks work. Mm I'm confused with some of your videos. You have 4 videos that say "HOW TO USE A MAC - MAVERICKS EDITION - LIVE", "New to OS X Mavericks Live", "New to OS X Mavericks" and "OS X Mavericks - FULL CLASS". ¿Which one do I have to see to get into Mavericks? The title doesn't differentiate them to much, specially the first, the third and fourth.
David would you please explain the difference between "Documents" and "All My Files" If you want to delete something which folder should you delete it from? For whatever reason on see the same file 2 and 3 times in "All My Files"
When you say hold command D - is there a print off for all these types of commands we can download. It sure would help if you are new to all these commands
I have spent a lot of time on my MAC and I have learned a great deal. I thank you for that. However, all the links and PFD's that we are supposed to be able to download and or print. Don't. If I want them, which I do, how am I supposed to get them?
I have an older MacBook, how do I enable the feature that helps me create folders from insider finder? I know you said something about two fingers on the tracking pad. I also don't get a response when I try to use the right click. Thank you for any help that you can give.
1. Click on the Apple logo in the upper left corner.2. Click on System Preferences 3. Click on trackpad and there you should see secondary click (if it's not checked then check it) 4. There you see a drop down menu and from there you can select the way you secondary click on your mac. I recommend you choose "click with two fingers" like hee mentioned in the video.
WHY oh why did apple redesign the dock... Bring back the shelf look!. Other than that nostalgic comment, keep up the good work, learning so much more than I already knew. Excellent :D
Hello David A. Cox, I am unable to listen to many of my purchased songs on Itunes as Itunes cannot locate them, (this is the message I get when I click on them) so the song's title is available but when click on it it says unable to locate, this happened to 50% of my songs, can you please advise on how to deal with this, thank you in advance.

If you put the group in the TO: field, as this video demonstrates, just be aware that you are sharing all email addresses with everyone and some people may not like that.
