as a person who listens to kpop, im genuinely annoyed by the people who can't respect a person's personal opinion / taste. it becomes even worse when these people are 70% of all kpop fans who shit on other people if they don't like kpop🚶♀️
@Commander Bingus reddit has thematical subs that are not toxic, and reddit can be informative and helpful unlike twitter which is a toxic shithole and should by any means be destroyed
I genuinely feel bad for kpop artists, I kept away from kpop for so long just because of the "toxic kpop stans".people don't even try to get into kpop because of the twt fandoms. Anyways I'm glad I didn't consider the stereotypes and listened to kpop. Now I'm a "normal" kpop fan on k-discord lol
Same my friends who like kpop tried to force to get into kpop which made me stay away from it, but then when I actually got curious about kpop, I started listening to their music and liked it because I LIKED it
That’s what I’m saying. I feel so bad for these idols they can’t do anything or be true to themselves because of these “fans” that think they are perfect. I’m a chill fan I just sit back and support
and then idols get attacked and get hateful comments for some reason and most of the time its all because of the toxic fans, that instead doing it with the toxic fans, they include the idols who didnt even do anything. pretty immature to do but it is what it is.
Guys here are the rules: If you like Kpop, stay off Twitter If you don’t like kpop, stay off Twitter If you’re a toxic kpop lover, stay off Twitter If you aren’t a toxic kpop lover, stay off twitter
I think the whole toxicity thing in most kpop fandoms is just a backlash from all the hate and bullying kpop groups and stans used to get in the past, or it could be just some obsessed fans
It started as being defensive, then it became obsessive. I mean, unless the comment is actually really offensive, like really racist or whatever, then I get being defensive and defend your faves. But if it's just a mild thing, eeehhh, just ignore it.
The comments tho-💀 But you know, people have their own tastes, likes, dislikes, and opinions over certain matters and things. Let's just all respect that.

Be warned: I'm kinda concerned about the number of fans (in any aspect of entertainment) that literally cover their whole room in merchandise. While I understand the desire to have a memorabilia because I felt the same too when I first got introduced to Anime and was hyping over it, I feel it's too excessive and actually unhealthy that we would spend quite a lot of money just to show our 'love' to a particular brand or celebrity. Idk, it's probably just my miser self saying, having to be raised in an environment where reckless spending is a BIG NO because money is quite difficult to earn in our circumstances. Though, I sincerely hope that excessive admiration over someone/something could be tackled more in the internet. Ofc, when someones buys a lot of things for the sake of their fandom, it doesn't automatically mean they're bad people or anything...we shouldn't just 'harshly' judge them but insteas try to understand them with the best we can and try out a solution. That's all. Thanks. p.s. in the end, if you're not harming anyone including yourselves (not just emotionally or physically), then I think it's not inherently wrong for us to like and have some memorabilia of our fandom.
I feel the same way about all the Ariana Grande wannabes... Like it's admirable that you are so passionate about your favorite music artist but there are boundaries yall
Dude u don't understand. That obsession will fade once they start to use their own money. Since it's given to them, these 12 yr old kpoppies not realising they're being sheeps keep on being keyboard warriors. It's just a freaking matter of time
Ikr, toxic kpop fans always giving the chill kpop fans a bad look. If this fandom was more nice/chill, then kpop wouldn't be getting so much hate and things would of been better.
For the people who are saying 90% are toxic in kpop fandoms....well seems like rest 10% is too much of us living under the rock fans. 🙂. I'm still living under the rock till this date.

Another kpop fan said "we are not toxic" and whatever other bs she said but she herself was being extremely toxic by insulting me repetitively and being irrational and denying that kpop fans are ever rude. Im a kpop stan myself and sometimes I get a little bit annoyed with my own community Look this is something that happened to me recently Well I was on Twitter normally interacting with my mutuals until I saw one that said "How much groups you stan?" So I answered the number of groups (that is a little bit a lot 😅) And then people stared to tell me if I know the difference of stanning and being a casual listener which I do because I have been in this community for almost 7 years! And others telling me I am a useless fan or that i only support 1 or 2 groups, and I felt a little uncomfortable because I like to support groups so they're dreams aren't destroyed
Same. I don’t care that I stan 3 groups fr, that doesn’t mean I only listen to 3 groups, I listen to a lot more. I’m into kpop for the music dumbasses not y’all trashy humor.
it's so crazy because kpop fans are the only ones gatekeeping who you should and shouldn't support you literally dont see that in western stan culture it grossed me out ngl the fans really ruined it for me. sorry it happened to you. i hope yoou don't let a bunch of 16 y/os who to stan and not to

U know what I've noticed we some kpop stans are improving not like the one in this video basically from *cough** twitter **cough** but, I've noticed like compared to 2-3 years ago when even if u said something like "this song from this comeback is not really my taste" I would get so much hate and death threats I've experienced that just for saying I don't really like the song but now kpop stans are improving they don't really do that anymore they just respect and get along and taht feeling is amazing so I hope all of the ppl from the kpop community improve and learn to respect
before I'm going to express my thoughts on this I just want to say that as a kpop fan myself, I'm very very sorry and ashamed of what some toxic stans says and do. I think that people (not just the toxic stans) need to understand that it's (obviously) OK and you SHOULD have an opinion and be able to express it as long as you are been RESPECTFUL about it (something that toxic stans need to start do, since they are starting fights with people that says stuff in a respectful way). the person in the video was totally cool and didn't do anything wrong since he just expressed his opinion, but when people straight up start talking shit about something (not just related to kpop) it's just annoying and disrespectful. But still, people should NEVER and I repeat NEVER send death threat to someone or curse them (or anything related to actions like this). people like this should be in prison not people that don't like kpop. moral of the story: 1) please stay away from twitter 2) be respectful about other people's opinions 3) NEVER SEND HATE TO SOMEONE JUST BECAUSE THEY DON'T LIKE SOMETHING YOU LIKE! but they STILL need to be respectful about it, and if they don't, then they aren't worth your time. what I just expressed my opinion about was mostly about toxic kpop fans but it's also needs to be done in every single topic in the everyday life. PLEASE be good people. Sorry about the fact that it's long and I hope this will reach someone that could learn something from it. and English is not my first language so I hope this was easy to understand. please feel free to express your opinion in the replays, and have a great day / night! :D
Agree. Also if this fandom wasn't so toxic then things would of been better, and I think it wouldn't be getting as much hate as it is. The toxic fans have to ruin things and give the community a bad look. But there are also a lot of kind kpop fans out there too which I respect!

Please take time to read this especially if u are obsessed🙏 I think some of these toxic obsessed kpop stans need to get serious help, but in order to do that they need to realize for themselves that it's unhealthy to 'worship' these idols by defending them everywhere even when their wrong, shoving it down people's throats and spreading the obsession, spend all their money on merch and waste their lives watching them all day. Here is a story about what happened to me a few months ago: I started watching a certain kpop group, I learnt their names and watched funny compilations, some of their music or whatever (nun wrong with that) but I became obsessed in a way that I've never felt for any other celeb. It was not normal and I quickly realized but even then, even after stop watching, I could not get them out of my mind. I felt like a nobody, that I was never going to be as good as them, what's the point of my life. I wondered how I was going to survive without meeting them and with them not knowing I exist. I was going to quit my goals to become a scientist, I was feeling to skip classes and I'm a very good student. I was willing to force myself to become famous and meet them. +A lot more, it was so wierd and.....that I can't describe how I felt in words. Just depressed.(I know ,very delusional, but it felt like all my morals were being pushed away, and I was becoming blinded) but as I said I realized. Sad thing is, some people do not realise, and I understand the reason they act like this, they need help, their probably dying inside, seriously. My story sound vague but it took so long to stop feel worthless, to stop feel like a nobody, to pray again and to not feel numb inside. You need to understand that if u are dying they are not going to save you, I had wierd dreams. I know these people know this but you can become so blinded and it sometimes happens at your most vulnerable times in which you can't realize it. And it's from these obsessions that the industry grows. How sad, how peculiar I know the idols train hard, we should support them, but not in a way that takes away your self from you

I myself and other kpop stans are on the side that are well-mannered, respect others opinions, and doesn't make a fanwar, I dont know about those people, they really stanned kpop and chose violence.
Here's the thing, Kpop is a type of music, some may like it, some may dislike it. If you like it doesn't mean everyone does, and when you see someone not liking it, don't be disrespectful. And if you don't like it, you can voice it out, it's your opinion, that's not the issue, the issue is disrespect, don't be disrespectful to kpop or their fans. I think it's a very double standard thing, where people just go "if you don't like it, keep it to yourself" when they don't agree with something, even tho if they see someone voicing out their dislikes of something even they are not fond of, they don't say anything to that person. "Keep it to yourself" line should be attached with everywhere or nowhere. The main point is "RESPECT" You should respect kpop even if you don't like it, because they worked hard to get where they are, just because you dislike it, doesn't mean it's bad. And you should respect people who don't like Kpop too, because people are diverse, they can have different opinions, just because you like it, doesn't mean it's everyone's cup of tea

The most interesting thing about this is that Robert Downey Jr. also didn't say anything about who he was voting for, or attend the dinner. He was in the exact same boat as Chris Pratt, the only difference being Pratt is a Christian. Now bodyshaming tweets from 2011 have resurfaced, supposedly from Chris Pratt, although there is no actual confirmation of that. One Twitter user even said outright "we are just waiting for the moment to pounce on this guy" making it obvious that their cancelling him isn't actually about his actions, and they're going to continue trying to cancel him anyway. Honestly, I don’t like kpop and it’s because of it’s fanbase. I have nothing against the artists, it’s the *sTaNs* that drive me mad. Fanbases of other genres are so tolerable, like you can say that you hate emo rock (I’m a part of the fanbase so I know) and mostly everyone will be cool with it or even ignore it. But whenever I have said that I hate kpop (music) kpop fans flood me with mean comments, like, just *GODDAMM CHILL!* I know some of them aren’t like that, but most of them are. I hate pop and country music too, not just your kpop. If I play a death metal song that I really like, it’s not necessary that you’ll like it too and it’s ABSOLUTELY okay if you hate it. I’m not gonna attack you, instead, I’m going to take it as your personal opinion. PS: this isn’t just for the kpop fans, it goes for everyone out there who likes a certain genre the best. If you attack someone for loving or hating a certain music genre, *you’re very stupid.*
thank you for saying that, many people hate kpop but the fact they also bringing the kpop artists down for no reason just sucks man, most kpop fanbases suck but its not really their fault (people in the comment section are like "they used autotunes and sucks at dancing" bro, they say they hate the fanbases but i feel like they can be part of it .-. dragging others down for no apparent reason but yeah this goes to other kind of music genres or anything at all... i wish people would say "[music genre] is just not my taste" instead of bringing artists down or just sabotaging others for liking something

Moral of this: Ppl these days are too toxic and take everything so darn personal. Coming from a kpop stan, I must say that its sad that some ppl shade all the fans when it's a portion of them (No specific amounts being specified). Its hard to say something about you or something you like without anyone coming at you anymore. I know some so-called 'fans' come at ppl but the actual good ones always go down too. I would get why a fan would get angry or blow of if someone were to say something like "They are gay", "They are trash" etc. And that's not being defensive or anything, that's standing up to ppl who don't understand or who just wants to cause drama. Regardless of which platform of social media you are on, there will always being ppl like this. So pls stop hating on the ones who are actual fans and don't over react on little things like this. And I know some ppl don't want to be apart of any fandoms or whatever but the least you can do is still respect the artists or actors if you like their music or work. I wish ppl would stop over reacting and we can actually appreciate the celebrities we like. But times gave changed and we have to live with the way us, humans, (And any nonspecific ppl like aliens we don't know about lol. Btw it was a joke pls don't take it personal) created the world to be nowadays. I hope one day we would see a different perspective and stop being so foolish and immature over little comments and things we see... All this coming from a kpop stan is kinda hard knowing that there may be someone who is not gonna agree and probably start up now lol.. Erm..So uh yeah. This is my comment on my perspective. Hoping that no one is gonna come at me. Heh😅 Also, (Lol I talk a lot so if you made it here, thanks hehe) for some ppl, not all kpop fans are too obsessed or are too biased if we have any posters on our wall or have a lot of merchandise. I mean, if there are posters everywhere and you have like a whole room or house full of merchandise. There's a limitation to everything.. Um so yeah that's just something I wanted to say cuz I saw a few comments on these so yeah. Anywaysssss bai maybe till I edit this and realize that somethings off or something.
As someone who listens to kpop myself I sometimes cringe at some fans...they overreact at everything...specially some fandoms literally praise their idols for breathing, for doing a a normal hair flip😓and when other celebrity take their idol's Name even for one second they will go spam in their ig,youtube, twitter literally everywhere😓 like sometimes it's too much

I'm kinda concerned about the number of fans (in any aspect of entertainment) that literally cover their whole room in merchandise.
That's all. Thanks. p.s. in the end, if you're not harming anyone including yourselves (not just emotionally or physically), then I think it's not inherently wrong for us to like and have some memorabilia of our fandom.

before I'm going to express my thoughts on this I just want to say that as a kpop fan myself, I'm very very sorry and ashamed of what some toxic stans says and do. But still, people should NEVER and I repeat NEVER send death threat to someone or curse them (or anything related to actions like this). people like this should be in prison not people that don't like kpop.
moral of the story:
1) please stay away from twitter
2) be respectful about other people's opinions
3) NEVER SEND HATE TO SOMEONE JUST BECAUSE THEY DON'T LIKE SOMETHING YOU LIKE! but they STILL need to be respectful about it, and if they don't, then they aren't worth your time.

I think some of these toxic obsessed kpop stans need to get serious help, but in order to do that they need to realize for themselves that it's unhealthy to 'worship' these idols by defending them everywhere even when their wrong, shoving it down people's throats and spreading the obsession, spend all their money on merch and waste their lives watching them all day. Here is a story about what happened to me a few months ago:
I started watching a certain kpop group, I learnt their names and watched funny compilations, some of their music or whatever (nun wrong with that) but I became obsessed in a way that I've never felt for any other celeb.
How sad, how peculiar

I myself and other kpop stans are on the side that are well-mannered, respect others opinions, and doesn't make a fanwar,
I dont know about those people, they really stanned kpop and chose violence.
The main point is "RESPECT"
You should respect kpop even if you don't like it, because they worked hard to get where they are, just because you dislike it, doesn't mean it's bad.
And you should respect people who don't like Kpop too, because people are diverse, they can have different opinions, just because you like it, doesn't mean it's everyone's cup of tea

The real problem is Twitter and not kpop fans☠️
Still most of kpop fans are toxic
Let me get this straight:
You can enjoy KPop as much as you like. But don’t shove it down my throat, people forcing their tastes on to me is the reason why I don’t like it anymore.
Same my friends literally do that.
Same bro my obsessed classmates force me to like kpop and tbh kpop is just a brain washing machine, people are just so obsessed they kept abusing other people and even me cause every single kpop fans at my school hates weebs or anime or japanese related stuff it's just unbelievable and ridiculous in my opinion, which is why being a weeb is pretty much difficult because kpop stans will make you live in hell cause i don't support Korea, only Japan
Can't wait for a mad kpop stan to reply this comment
Lmao yesss,i know that feeling its like a weeb tried to recommend you a fucking anime you never heard of
@@vin07_11 Tbh.. It's damn any truth they're this much obsessed with that they literally try to compare each and every artist with them like BTS fans compare them with Beatles I mean are u serious? Beatles are legend. BTS is not even a band. Band means a group who create, write and compose music on their own and BTS just sing with lots of auto tune and dance. Acc. to BTS Stans Namjoon is better rapper than Eminem wtf Eminem is a GOAT he's a solo artist and their rapper is not even a solo artist..And in Blackpink they say that Lisa and Nicki Minaj are equal oh please she just dance good otherwise her rap is totally I don't wanna say anything btw little mix is far better than BP..
Hey honey thanks for reading so long if you're against my opinion then please ignore cause I've not written this specifically for you and no matter how long you'd write essay I don't think so you can change my opinion cause you might be the good BTS army but I've met hella toxic armies who had literally ruined my opinion okh so please don't you dare to reply cause it's gonna waste your time and I'm not gonna read it anyway and disturb me by notifications but still if you're shameless and wanna reply so go on..

Christ Pratt lol
@@kdlsimondistefan47 Additionally, because he didn't attend a Zoom dinner with other members of the Avengers cast in support of Joe Biden. He wasn't invited to said dinner. But his silence on political matters was enough to convince Twitter that he is a homophobic Trump supporter, and attempt to cancel him.
BUT, the thing about cancel culture is that it only works if everyone is in agreement, and everyone cooperates. If the majority drop all support of things he's involved in, those things will fail. But, if the majority does not drop support, it will succeed. So the sane members of the internet could actually overpower Twitter, we could _cancel out_ their cancel culture. Whoever has the majority wins, and that means, there is still hope.
Lmao, I remember one time I told my K-pop stan friend that I don't like dynamite. The reason is that summer song isn't my type of song. And she got mad saying that I'm racist to Asians. I'm half Japanese 💀. Then she proceeds to tell her other K-pop stan about me and they put crushed sleeping pills on my food. I was sent to the hospital. Tbh some K-pop stans are telling me to find some better chill stan. How do I find one if every K-pop stan I met and talk to, no matter where, when, and why always bash me for not liking something. I almost died because of them, you cannot blame me if I'm scared of K-pop stan from that on. The other times were when I was at UA-cam and this K-pop stan told everyone that they are going to kill and find everyone that doesn't like K-pop and that K-pop is the best even the Beatles can't beat bts and they say that's a fact. I told them I appreciate their opinion, but that's kind of harsh and why they shouldn't say that because now they are going to ruin the reputation of their favorite. They got mad and curse me, then told me to kill myself and that they hope I got raped and they will kill my family. Y'all are crazy tbh, I forgive you but I will not forgive you every time. Don't get me wrong I saw a lot of good deeds that some K-pop stan has done but that doesn't mean you can kill someone by donating 5 dollars to the charity.

Okay as a kpop stan here my experience too please
There was a video of one idol saying that her photos weren't taken enough as she was the youngest and parents got a abit tired taking photos
But uk this is kind of common and me as a youngest i have experienced that too so i thought the comments will be like relatable or smthg and uk what the actual comments were 💀😂
The were calling her parents as child abuser and some of them were hating on her family and some of the comments were oh my my idol is so strong she had gone through so much in her childhood 👁👄👁
And i was like wha-- i think kpop stans mostly new ones take everything their idol does as uk motivational and like pls the idol sits and they praise the idol🤡 they just idolized (idk if that's a word)but they idolized too much
I think mostly its kpop stans problem cuz like kpop is not a group its a genre just like pop
So u can't just dislike a genre but u can dislike the artists
Lmao
Heh😅
Also, (Lol I talk a lot so if you made it here, thanks hehe) for some ppl, not all kpop fans are too obsessed or are too biased if we have any posters on our wall or have a lot of merchandise.
