Jamie, only just discovered your vids. I’m just getting back into sax after a 12 month break (long story) but I’ve watched several of your videos over Easter. I love your enthusiasm for sax, it’s infectious. Thanks for everything you’ve done. You are an inspiration. When ever I don’t feel like playing, I watch one of your vids and I want to go in the shed and blow.

You've gotta give it the full treatment, now that you finally did it. His rockin' solo after the main bits is a must-learn IMHO. Of course the band I'm in plays it in a different key. Plus, we're so crazy we sometimes glue Hawaii Five-O as a second interlude then finish by returning to some improvisation on Tequila until finalizing on the head. Keeps the folks on the floor dancing a good bit more!

Thanks for this Jamie, this along with Bill Haley was my start point for loving sax. One request, I’ve really struggled with this track to read the actual notes rather than the note names you added above the notes. I don’t know if others asked for this, but I found myself not reading the music.
There’s some debate over the key. I might amend the PDF and put it in concert F and well as concert E.
Your instructional videos are really great. Love that your backing tracks have a visual allowing you to keep in time. A while ago you recommended an app Anytune which has been a great help. Using tools like the loop really helps practicing a specific phrase etc.. Do you or anyone out there know how to directly copy the music from your posts to this app. Ive been recording using voice memos/dragging to home page /then dragging to Anytune - which seams very laborious!?
Well, I’m sure there’s a way somehow, but I’d obviously prefer you to slow down UA-cam and watch it there, cos then I get more watch time and views! 😂

Why is it not in the original key??
I make that closest to the original key. It’s “in the cracks” though.
You might be used to playing it in another key, but have you played the original recently then checked the key?
