Hello I just started the new pen last week. Last week was a complete failure it was very painful I tried it in the top of my leg I bled real bad and I released almost immediately because it was painful and the medication oozed out everywhere. I decided I would look up a tutorial to see if I could find a trick. I watched your video and I also went back to injecting in my stomach. It was 100% successful it didn't hurt, bleed, or ooze out. Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video it helped me so much!! Btw I have been on bydureon for over 2 years and I have lost 40 lbs a1c went from 9.8 last year to 6.2 at the last checkup in January (yes after the holidays I was super shocked). I go every 6 months now. I don't have any side effects that I can tell. I only got a nodule a time or two and they always go away.
@@sugarhighchannelHey doc it normal to bleed at the injection site when injecting Bydureon? I taking this medication for the first time today and had significant bleeding at the injection site from the needle? Does this mean my body push the medicine out?
Looking up the information on this medication I came across many demos but you are the only one who explained the reason for keeping the pen upright. I appreciate the information, thank you
I started Bydureon on February 17 2024 I'm still on it my A1C level was 7.5 i waight 240 pounds wend I started use. On April 18 2024 got a A1C done came back 5.5 and I'm 212 pounds. im happy with this medicine it's working good for me. I do get some nodule sometimes but it dosen't bother me at all.
Thank you for all the advice and information I’m on week four but, still glad I came across your page. I lost 20 pounds in my first month, I have a high metabolism. I didn’t know about the dosage not changing. And I’m supplementing soon with something else in 2 weeks because I want to lose 80 pds. My doctor is floored actually by the results as is the weight management team I met with today.
Thank you for a great video. i take Bydureon and have for about a year now. my Dr chose Bydureon because i already have some GI issues and she didn't want to aggravate those. i started with injections in my thighs and found i had the nodules. Moved to the back of my arms. More nodules. But i loved the lack of side effects and was determined to keep trying. The thought of injecting in my stomach gave me the heebie jeebies, which is why i chose arm and legs first. (i used to give myself magnesium injections in my thigh muscles for migraines. If i could do that with the longer needle and a med that burned like heck, i knew i wouldn't have a problem with this littler needle.) i found once i started injecting in my stomach (which was a lot less scary than i thought it would be!) that i had a lot fewer nodules. Like one in ten, instead of every single time. They do heal up over time (2-3mos). i think this is because eventually your body DOES absorb all of the medication. Once it's gone, it's generally like it was never there. i say "generally" because i do have one spot on my left thigh, one of the first injections i ever did, that looks permanently bruised. It's just appearance, there is no nodule anymore and there isn't any pain. Just a change in skin coloration. Anyway, i just wanted to share my experience for you and for anyone else worried about trying Bydureon because of the possible nodule side effect. my A1c is MUCH better now. (Down 1.7pts from 7.0 to 5.3) i've lost, over the last year, about 10lbs. i'm sure i could lose more if i tried harder, i just tend to be lazy after spending all day at work, but i don't think i'd be losing ANY without Bydureon. i've tried harder before Bydureon and didn't see any weight loss no matter how carefully i portion controlled or how much i exercised. i just this past month reach my first big goal in weight loss and i've STAYED there! As far as side effects, GI issues were minimal. Any that i did have could easily be attributed to my pre-exising GI conditions and my metformin. Thanks again for your videos. i'm not poorly educated on diabetes, but i still learn something with each one.
What do you think about Bydureon for insulin resistance? I don’t have diabetes or a high A1C but my doctor is recommending this medication to help with my insulin levels.
First I’d like to tell you that I love your videos. You are so knowledgeable and thorough. I am a BYDUREON Bcise besides user. I have been using it for almost 2 years. It is very very effective for me. It has lowered my A-1 C consistently. I love this medication. However there is a major problem right now. Until recently I have never had a problem with it, but about six months ago periodically, about after every 2 or 3 injections, my injector would malfunction. It happened the same way every time: I go through all the steps meticulously and then when I pressed down to have the needle into my body, the needle would enter but the plunger would not move. In other words the liquid never flowed. Astra Zeneca has been very kind and sending me replacements. They very expensive and this is a great help. I do not want to give up Bydureon. Other medications made me very nauseous and have had other side effects. Bydureon is so good for me. Do you have any suggestions as to what I can do to remedy this problem? I send every injector back to Astra Zeneca for their inspection but they do not give me the result of their findings. I do everything exactly as prescribed by the instructions. The plunger that you see in the window simply does not move. When I remove the device from my skin(abdomen) liquid spews all over my abdomen and there is a obvious tiny hole where the needle went in to my skin. Obviously, the plunger goes down as soon as I remove the needle from my skin. I hope you can help me.

The Orange Cap is to be "twisted counterclockwise" to remove = YOU DO NOT PULL UP ON THE CAP AT ALL!!! You did and that is why what happened, happened. Always read the manuals. If you did, you would have learned proper procedure for sure.

Yeah, that can happen. If you happen to hit a small vein, it can bleed. Shouldn’t happen every time. It’s possible that the needle went through the small vein and the medicine still went into the fat where it belongs.

Some Pens do not work correctly. Today was my injection day I did just this...nothing was coming out and I counted to 15 pulled away and I heard a click and medicine was released. It's 2 expensive for this to keep happening. Last 3 were very successful.
When I tried Bydureon a few years ago, it brought my a1c from the mid 8's to the low 6's due in part to the affect it had on my appetite. The only reason I stopped using it was because of the cost. The needle is larger and it does result in bleeding but I never let that stand in the way. I also lost between 10-15 lbs..
Type 2 diabetic. I’ve been using Trulicity for 3 years. All the pharmacies in my town are out of stock. Blood glucose has more than doubled in 2 weeks without Trulicity. Doc has me starting Bydureon tomorrow during the Trulicity shortage
I really miss being able to use vistoza, it worked great for me, will have to see if avter a couple months if this is working. Thank you for such a great video, I was kind of stressed becuase of the way the Dr. explained thing to me. But you did a great job!!!
This is the BEST video I've watched for this medication. Thank you SO much for explaining everything. Other videos failed to explain why you have to hold the pen upright. I feel a lot more confident now about using this injector for the first time, and doing it properly.
I just started it today and it didn't come out right away, then it came out when lifted it off my stomach. Lost all the medicine. I'm only on it because there is a shortage of Monjauro. Can't wait to get back on Monjauro.
So my first time using it I followed all the direction and when I heard the click and I saw the little slime coming out once I lift it out not sure if the medicine went in the body or not please help?
Sure. Just be sure to pack it with a cool pack to keep it from getting too hot. Since it’s only injected once per week, you don’t even really have to have it with you in the cabin if you’re concerned about the sharp needles. Having a copy of the prescription from your doctor would also help in case any questions come up during customs, although that’s unlikely.
You commented thatother of these injectible medications can cause more weight loss than Bydurean. Would you mind saying which ones have more weight loss as a side effect.
If the pen isn't held upright when twisting the dial and removing the cap, you end up with a pretty big air bubble in the medicine reservoir. (by the way, it isn't insulin. It's a medication called exenetide)
It depends on what the patient needs. If they need the most A1c reduction, Ozempic is the most effective. If they need the lowest likelihood of side effects, Bydureon is a good choice, For people who need the easiest injector decide, Trulicity is good. And for people who absolutely won't give an injection, Rybelsus is the only pill option
Great information, thank you. I started on Trulicity 2 weeks ago with a sample from my doc. Insurance won’t pay so she prescribed Bydureon instead. I just my first dose tonight. Let’s hope no side effects! I am a person who often gets them with a lot of meds… I will report back in 2 months!
@@desijaecae43016 it worked ok but my doc decided to prescribe something else. I took Ozempic which was just ok. But I only did one week and my blood work came back a little off so she said my pancreas was irritated and asked me to stop taking it.

I am going to inject bydureon for the first time. Can't wait to experience the feelings.
Thank you so much for this extremely informative breakdown of this medication.
Thank you for the content. Found it very informative. I'll be administering Bydureon today. I'll message you in 10 weeks with outcome.
Great video, well explained, understand and makes more sense after watching this video. Thank You
I just started it today and it didn't come out right away, then it came out when lifted it off my stomach. Lost all the medicine. I'm only on it because there is a shortage of Monjauro. Can't wait to get back on Monjauro.
Thank you for the easy to understand video. I just administered my 1st treatment and I experienced some bleeding at the site (my belly)…..normal?
So my first time using it I followed all the direction and when I heard the click and I saw the little slime coming out once I lift it out not sure if the medicine went in the body or not please help?
Bydureon contraindicated with insulin will cause low blood sugar
9:22 KEVIN?!
Is it common after the injection with bydureon bcise that there still be a little bit of insulin in the syringe
I was on this like 20 years ago. Worked soooo well.
Nice review of this product.. keep up the great research! Ty
Well done .. thanks a lot
Glad you enjoyed it
Good info. But it doesn't show how to inject it!
When does nausea occur? If you eat or don't eat?
Hi I would like to you asking one question People who use ozamic can travel? Because I have plan travelling overseas. thanks
Idk if you are still looking but ozempic, wegovy are two of the most weight loss ones
Can I inject with my Humira
What happens if you didnt have the pen in the upright position and the insulin isnt coming out when you try to inject it?
If the pen isn't held upright when twisting the dial and removing the cap, you end up with a pretty big air bubble in the medicine reservoir. (by the way, it isn't insulin. It's a medication called exenetide)
E la lingua italiana?......
Deer
I’m going through
So helpful.
Excited
What other GLP1 medications do you like better?
It depends on what the patient needs. If they need the most A1c reduction, Ozempic is the most effective. If they need the lowest likelihood of side effects, Bydureon is a good choice, For people who need the easiest injector decide, Trulicity is good. And for people who absolutely won't give an injection, Rybelsus is the only pill option
@@sugarhighchannel Thank you so so very much! Appreciate the response.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great information, thank you. I started on Trulicity 2 weeks ago with a sample from my doc. Insurance won’t pay so she prescribed Bydureon instead. I just my first dose tonight. Let’s hope no side effects! I am a person who often gets them with a lot of meds… I will report back in 2 months!
How did it work for you?
@@desijaecae43016 it worked ok but my doc decided to prescribe something else. I took Ozempic which was just ok. But I only did one week and my blood work came back a little off so she said my pancreas was irritated and asked me to stop taking it.
is there a way to mute the background music
