I try, I also dropped a new album today called "Brown Boy 2/Good Intentions Deluxe"
@@SIKKYBEATS I'll check it out haha
😂😂😂
@@SIKKYBEATS where u from brudda?
Shit's fire, bro!
good sound selection is the most important thing i learned in sound engineering college. if you find yourself needing to use any extreme eq or sidechaining to make sounds fit together then something needs to be removed or swapped. i find if i've got a great groove going and it's sounding muddy after some basic eq then the best thing to do is start removing channels one by one. usually you'll find everything becomes a lot clearer and more powerful when you've removed the offending sound which might be great on its own but doesn't work in the mix. choose what the star of the show is and treat your other elements as support
@@zilueta5645 though but true
why does youtube prodcers always has to put a cooking food clip in their videos. lol. great video tho
lol it's only kyle and sikky who do it

@@al.milione llb beats and 10000s of yt producers under 10k subs...its a curse
They like to let us know what they eat lol
He salt cheffed the shit outta them eggs😂
OH MY GOD! The “training wheels” concept is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for! I’m a newer producer, so anytime I look for help I often see the “music has no rules” cliché and it can be frustrating at time. Thank you so much!

Im producing for 12 years, Im also a trained sound engineer and I really have to say that you mentioned almost all the important things.. I would have only one more important thing to note, which is the right sidechain.. Sidechaining has greatly improved the sound of my songs and is one of the most important components for a good and clean sounding in my opinion :)
I got music contents check me out
What exactly should be sidechained...I really struggle with it?
@@Andre21206side chain the sub with the kick, it will clear up the mud that would usually be there from the kick and sub frequencies competing and then use that technique to have (for example) your snare cut thru any instruments that are competing with the crack of the snare... Of course only use it if necessary or else it will thin out your mix
your vids some of the most quality in the music community. keep it up chief, hidden gem fr
I put a lot into these, so I'm glad you enjoyed it!
That’s for sure
Hi thought id add a couple of helpful definitions here to clear up to misunderstanding amongst the "in the box" producers.
GAIN STAGING: comes from the world of recording and mixing with analog gear: The act of optimising the signal level through each audio device in a signal chain, or through each section of a mixing console, to maintain an appropriate amount of headroom and keep the signal well above the system noise floor.
Compressor attack time: When a sound goes above the threshold, the compressor does not instantly apply the full compression to the overshooting signal. Instead, the compression ratio increases gradually from 1:1 to the maximum within a certain amount of time. This time is called the attack time.
let me know what other bits of information I can quickly clear up and add here.
Thanks for always good things🤗🤗
Hey @SIKKY BEATS great video. But can you clear "Phasing issues" for me....I mean I tried to learn through other sources but I'm still standing on the point where I started from. Not really able to understand it man...and what exactly does it sound like so that I know when I'm havin it?...It will be great if you could clear this for me and others too.
@@iamphoeniiix audio wave forms visually go up and down. like a sine wave.∿
imagine when the wave form is on top is +1, and when its below its -1.
if you were to play 2 sine waves at the exact same time but one wave form started with +1 and the second wave form started with -1
you would get 0. this is phase. when audio from 2 sources clash with each other and result in a quieter sound. sometimes it is quite in only certain frequencies.
What were you referencing about -18db? I am new and have heard about mixing to about -6db. Was the number you mentioned referring to something else?
Sikky u have the best editing i insist that these are the very best quality producer videos out there .. u’re a master at your craft.. bought your kits, very inspiring
Thank you Réda. This made my day. Hope yours is amazing😊
This guys definitely one of the best on UA-cam with explaining and knowledge about music, respect and thank you

Amazing tips! Thank you!
Really dope vid bro. Thanks for the tips
We need to talk about your intro. I started the video in front of my DAW ready to learn. Now I'm making breakfast for everyone in my house and I don't know how I got here.
OMGGGG! GOOOOOD TINGS😱 Thats what it all about! Music, healthy living, and sharing positivity.

That's what I needed , thanks for the info.
Dope video man.
Thank you for this! I am new through this music making journey. Really cracking my brains on this and then a month ago I stumbled upon your channel and now I have this drive like never before. So thank you, Sir! Love from Singapore!
That's awesome! Glad I could help🙏
You Brought up awesome points and they were well explained!!
it's okay to have things on your master while you mix (if you know what you're doing), that's literally the concept of top down mixing. The master is just a buss after all
It's like working out. You don't want to try and bench press 2 45s if you don't understand proper technique and haven't built up to it. More the for new producers but if you're already there then props to you!
One of the best videos on the internet for music production 👏
Seriously thank you ❤
Great job helping fellow producers. Also in the master cut everything below 20 hz trust me it will make a difference.
Giving out those gems 🌊🌊
Yoooo , you deserve more subs dude! The quality of the video Is soo premium bro! 🔥
Thanks man, we're growing every day thank to everyone watching and engaging !
Ty bro I've been making beats since I was 13 and just started fully learning what I was doing 4 yrs ago 🤦 loved your vid following can't wait for the next one bro 🙏

@@SIKKYBEATS always bro! Greetings from Poland! 🙏
First video I've seen by you but this is super good info to get a beginner's beats knocking like they want. Great presentation too!
thanks man very helpful
Its good information and advice even if you already know it. Great communication and knowledge. Dropping all the sauce here Sikky, good video as always!
Thanks man, sometimes it's reassuring to hear stuff you already know. Let's us know we're on the right track😊
@4:00 a good static mix is 95% of making a great mixdown. Stick to EQ and cutting. Avoid boosting. And take breaks from your mix so your ears don't get fatigued! Your ears get less and less sensitive as exposure goes by.
Big facts right here! Thanks for sharing 😄
Thanks for the tips brother, subbed for more valuable content!
Great stuff!
Thanks so much😊
Helpful video thank you !
This video is just awesome
No cap. You taught me something today. Got my like and subscribe. 💯💯

WELCOME BACK
Solid video! The instrument buss tip has definitely helped improve my mixing process
I like the idea of mixing while is not loud, seems about the best thing to do. Thanks for effort in this video !!!
This camera heat, the minimalism is a vibe 💪🏾
Thanks man for this, it helped me alot.
No problem 👍glad it helped!
Your Fundemntals on mixing and mastering are dope kepp it up and thanks for resource though take it for granted everyday
Awesome !!!
Thank you! Cheers!
SKINNY, I love how you look like an IT technician. Thank you for the techinical support in the FL studio department.
really great advice I need to take on board
The mixing of the snare lower than every other drum element does really make a difference. I implemented that into my music and it really helps!
Nice matched leveling nice tips
Quite informative and clear.
Glad you think so!
Very informative 🔥🤗
Great advice Thanks for the info im just starting out ;)
8:39 could be good pointing out that this knob will sum your L and R channels into mono which can damage your sound if let's say your 808 is very wide to begin with. Instead, try to turn off the side signal with a matrix plugin that does that
This was some great info. I’m struggling with mid range and instrument balancing in my mixes. I have been working on making things more dynamic and balanced. I am slowly building towards compression and busing. Small steps to make sure I’m using things correctly and make it a part of my routine.
I got music contents check me out
You the best!✨
Thanks 🙏
This is why I love your vids bruh. 💯
thanks dude!
Naw man, Thank you. 👍🏻
thank you 4 free kit
THANKS!
Watched ur vids before don't know y I didn't sub till now but got u now🔥🔥
u are a good producer you really have put in time . I feel stressed out sometimes
Take a deep breath, close your eyes and say "I'm doing the best I can". Much love bro
A lot of value have learned something 2 and 3. its true what you say with the soft clipper, I normally make beats without having something on the master

DAMN!!!!! SIKKY BEATS you went all out on the UA-cam channel. It looks so dope bro! I'm finally getting around to going through your material. I've been busy cooking in the lab to develop my skills. I use to watch your Instagram Lives all the time as Panthro08.
Gettin the Kyle Beats Video Vibes 😎
Big ups to the Dreamville Tee my dude 🔥 Definitely have gained a lotta inspiration from you, keep growing!
Thank you man! This is the whole goal of the channel!
Yoo. That beat though... 🔥
Thanks man. It's so true. i wasted so much time copying every tutorial video instead of understanding the concepts and applying them in context. Very helpful. Gain staging is still a bit intimidating for me right now. Again, Thanks for the sauce source... #GoodTings
Thank you so much dawg
No problem 👍glad it helped!
I listened to the last 20 seconds like 20 times. This beat is just ill. 🔥
