Key points:
- pick random sounds that inspire you. Shape them to fit the idea in your mind with eq, reverbs and other effects.
- layer till it feels full (usually 3-5 instruments)
- drums: anything works just as long as all other samples share the same tone/length/ vibe
- set levels at ultra low volumes on headphones
- reference songs that have the highest quality sonics, bounce, instrumentations.
I see what you did there, not showing the best beat and the common formula for hard hitting drums but simply explaining all the steps to get a good balance between things, this is really great!

@@SIKKYBEATS Yeah sometimes they show how to level things with the sampler, sometimes with Edison, sometimes just putting T Racks Clipper or sometimes using old version of FL Studio which makes things hits harder, but here you show everything that comes from mind when you're making a beat, which means you're not copy paste the same things that all have done before, you let people know the good tips that no one want you to knows or you need to watch some real mixing course 😊

how you limit a sequencer layer to loop itself to 4 beats rather then 8 beats like you did with hi hats?
You should beatbox and match the drum patterns to that. I love to use the normalize in out trick.
