Marc, can you do a video on the 2nd best player for every MLB team? I feel there's a lot of players that get overlooked on teams just because they aren't the best one! For example, while Miller is definitely the best player on the A's right now, Paul Blackburn has been putting in work!
That’s the only good cardinal we got lmfao our team been a lost cause the last few years I hope Cincinnati ends up taking the division this year that would be awesome to see
As a Brewers fan, I feel like our best player has got to be Williams Contreras, he's just been amazing starting the year and I'm not sure if Yelich with keep on his hot streak when he comes back.
As a Brewers fan it isn't Yelich. Its Contreras. Yelich has become a liability in the outfield, and he spends far too much time on the IL. Top that off with the fact that his constantly reoccuring back injury saps his power. Meanwhile Contreras has turned into an amazing defender, has shut down opponents running games, and is one of the best hitters in the league.
I disagree completely he was great in the field last season and has been the most consistent bat since then as well posting a 3 OAA and a 124 OPS+. This year he’s been even better with the bat and in the field he’s still an above average defender. While yes he’s been hurt he’s also still tied with Contreras in Homers even though he has 80 less at bats.
@@TurnTwoSports He has a negative defensive WAR rating every season since 2017, and he has no arm. He was hitting great this year, but he's once again hurt. It's hard for someone to be the best player on the team when they are constantly hampered by a back injury
as a padres fan it’s not gonna be the getting rid of Soto trade that haunts me for years to come. it’ll be the getting Soto trade that haunts me. gonna be tough to see CJ Abrams and James Wood tear it up the next few seasons
Same I wish we did not do it plus Soto did not even stay with us for that long , but hey guess what we now have Luis arraez so hoping he’ll stay long term
I personally think the bets play on the mets is Pete Alonso. Now don't get me wrong Lindor is amazing. he is outstanding defensively, when he hits its awesome and he is great at stealing bases. Although when he is in a slump, it's very hard for him to get out.But the reason I think Pete takes the crown in because Pete is a great hitter.he's very consistent and he has a lot of power. He's not looking for home runs every time he just looks to make contact, quick and short to the ball when the mets need a hit most. But he has so much power he clocks it out of the park half of the time lol. Not only that, but he is pretty darn good when it comes to defense, even though he is big and stocky he makes spectacular diving plays, amazing picks and dives to the bag when he knows he can't make it in time. Again, Alonso and Lindor are both amazing players and they are both my favorite players on the mets, but i think the polar bear just takes the crown
I know I'm like a month late but here are my top players that I disagreed on his options. If a team isn't here, I agreed with the same player as Marc: Toronto - Daulton Varsho Chicago C - Shota Imanaga Oakland - JJ Bleday Philadelphia - Ranger Suarez Los Angeles A - Tyler Anderson Minnesota - Carlos Correa Pittsburgh - Bailey Falter Tampa Bay - Isaac Paredes St. Louis - Masyn Winn Atlanta - Reynaldo Lopez Miami - Tanner Scott Cleveland - Steven Kwan San Diego - Jurickson Profar Cincinnati - Hunter Greene Colorado - Cal Quantrill Seattle - Logan Gilbert Chicago WS - Erick Fedde Boston - Jarren Duran Milwaukee - Brice Turang Texas - Josh Smith San Francisco - Heliot Ramos These are all the teams I feel like their best player wasn't the ones Marc said they were, just to show my opinion also.
No coming from a cubs fan shota has only had 3 really great performances don't get me wrong shota is a good second but Suzuki has been stepping it up and you just can't pass up on belly and Zizuki. I mean it's hard to pick when the cubs have so much good talent but in a couple weeks morel with be crushing the cover off the ball shota is a really good ball player.
As a guards fan, you absolutely can make the case that clase is up there. He isnt better than jose, but clase is lowkey one of the best (if no the best) closer in the MLB. 3B is more valuable, but clase and him are both great
I am so glad trout is back people were putting him below the top 10 in the rankings now they will see they were all wrong trout is still one of if not the best player when shohia is injured btw sorry idk how to spell his name mb
There is no way he said Randy is the best ray, Its Yandy or Issac. Randy may be the worst hitter for the Rays right now, and that started last year. Dude is falling off heavy.
Came here to say this. Randy has lost it. Since middle of last year. Isaac or yandy no doubter. Probably a pitcher if their arms stayed on like McClanahan or springs.
I’d take William Contreras, Adley and Wheeler. Gunner is amazing but Adley single handedly made the Orioles a playoff team. He’s Jeff Mathis with J-Ram’s bat.
Marc your hate for the cardinals is pretty insane. Ik you’re a salty Mets fan upset that we own your franchise but try to be a little more unbiased going forward
Can we look at other stats besides HR please geez. Mike Trout OPS is so low for him, the number of hits he has this year makes the type of season he is having similar to Kyle Schwarber, his RBI count for 10 HRs is so low, OBP is low, BA is scary low. Anyone saying Mike Trout is having a good season is correct but anyone saying Mike Trout is back is incorrect he is having a horrible season compared to his norm.
@@MulligansIslandCP1 never said he wasn’t. But in the video Marc ccwas like drooling over Mike trout like he is having a bad season for Mike trout so stop drooling
15:16 I would also make the case for Michael Conforto. That guy have been working with Barry Bonds and it is showing. 28 hits, 6 doubles, 5 home runs, 16 RBI’s, .267 batting average, .467 slugging and a .773 OPS, with an OPS+ of 120. ua-cam.com/video/SKMDUBlij4o/v-deo.htmlsi=vYIUHNuAKLdvgKII
An MLB I need to do to look at players two stats batting average and RBIs. I don’t care about home runs if you’re hidden for a high and you’re hitting guys in that should matter so if the Cardinals third baseman is hitting for high average and he’s hitting guys.In that should be it there should be no saying that he’s on a slow slump. He’s not slump all you care about is high and hitting guys in. That means you’re getting on base and you’re giving your team runs.
Marc loves himself some lindor,, Alonzo but don't know if he's Mets mvp,, thought they right with my Phillies to for that last playoff spot 😮 I was way off

I have to disagree with Judge over Soto. Maybe im really just hating but I’ve been a lifelong Yankees fan and Judge really is NOT as good as you make him out to be. If you have watched him this year he looks like nothing compared to Soto. And maybe not in stats or at least all of them anyways but when you look at them both at the plate. Soto is the one doing everything better in my eyes
Since 2021 ppl have been saying mookie will fall off but he never has and it pains me as a braves fan cuz if we can actually beat the Phillies we will have to face the dodgers
Picking Yelich over Contreras is absolutely bonkers. Love Yelich, but Contreras is flirting with MVP territory for the first part of the season. Marc does not do much research when it comes to the Brewers picks.
Not sure why we keep trying to act like Arozarena is the best Ray. I love him he's a lot of fun but a 125 wRC+ corner outfielder is not better than Paredes, Josh Lowe, Yandy etc. track record or not

Blackburn had 3 good starts and 3 bad starts..

Astros fan here. I know this year has been bad but Yordan is still our guy. It's nice too see king tuck getting some love tho
Bro altuve is the best player on the Astros
I’d say if we’re going off of currently it’s Altuve. Overall it’s Yordan
Altuve, Tucker, and Yordan are all great. I was curious who the pick would be. I thought Altuve, but I will always give Tucker his flowers. 👑
I think William Contreras is the best on the brewers because he's been an amazing hitter the last 2 seasons
I like how Marc won’t let go about the Marlins being bad because he was finally right about a prediction for once
