- I have been noticing more and more wonder with the steering in my truck so i wanted to start at square one and replace the track bar bushing on my truck. Not only does this tighten up the steering it also prevents the death wobble that you will get if you let them go too far.

Don't have a truck and don't know how I got here, however this is very informative. Thanks
Thanks for sharing tip of using a strap to shift things.
Thanks for sharing your information. I found it useful for my current task of rebuilding my front end on my 05 Dodge Ram
Absolutely! I'm glad to hear it was helpful
Excellent video
Thank you!!
Good video 💪
Awesome video. I’m starting to get some play in my steering wheel. I’ll prolly just upgrade to a BDS track bar.
I have honestly been thinking about that too, BDS would make a killer part for sure.
Great video. I hope this is what is causing my truck to get the wobble. I've spent thousands on a shaking truck and it's still shaking. Imma going to look at this tomorrow and hope this will fix it.
Its very common for the track bar to cause "death wobble"
It will help me. Thanks. Your right , I’m a welder by trade and I bet we could make these dodge suspensions MUCH better if we had all the time in the world. Also we should build us a good press
I wish I had more time to play with the suspension 😕
Chucking the firepit negative offset wheels would greatly improve your handling and premature bearing wear.
Build the steering 👌
Good job!
An old mechanic taught me the socket method of beating bushings in and out in the field 40 years ago.
He also taught me how to make gaskets using sockets to make bolt holes in the gasket paper.
Sometimes, depending on the gasket, you can lay the gasket material on the stationary surface and tap around the holes with a ball peen hammer to mark them.
(But you probably already know that.)
He could fix anything.
BTW, is that a 2500 or a 3500?
The socket trick for gaskets is a life saver and a ball peen hammer is a total life saver for making gaskets, it also saves a ton of time if your painting parts you put masking tape on surfaces you don't want painted and lightly go around the edge with your hammer and it will cut out the mask. The truck is a 3500, thank you for the feedback!!
My stock track bar bracket on frame bolt hole is now becoming oval shape creating movements. I’m planning on slap new thick metal with fresh perfect size stock hole to weld on bracket. Now I saw your video and you got aftermarket bracket for lifts!!! Mmm! How tall lifts you got in order to have that bracket?
That drop bracket came with my 6 inch lift, its a tuff country lift. I would think they would include them in the 4 inch too but I'm not 100% on that one.
Don't know if you remember what are the "foot pounds" on the track bar bolts on each end? Thanks Great video
I honestly just go as tight as I can get them
Torque 150 LBS................end bolts
Why couldn’t you use the vice that was right there to press the bushing in?
That vice needs some T.L.C. And we don’t get along most days so I didn’t even want to fool with it.
These are the wheels and tires I was talking about in my other comment, what’s the specs for them, I gotta get these on mine!
Oh hell yeah man, they are a 22x14 hostile jigsaw on 37/13.5 amp terrain attack mts
@@Cargill450 I appreciate it boss!
@@Cargill450 you run spacers too or they just just got that much offset?
No spacers just pure offset
Death wobble killed my second gen poor truck ha been sitting for like 7 months
Its a bad deal man. I wouldnt wish it on anyone
