Didn’t read all of the comments to see if someone else mentioned it, but a commonality in the Lorac Unzipped palettes is that they are TALC-FREE! Extremely important to those of us who can’t tolerate talc on our eyes or skin!

I'm from an island so to me sunsets are bright oranges, bright reds, and yellow. I haven't bought any of these pallets because to me the TF Peachy matte shades are basically in the same family and I like a lot of diversity. I like the Huda palette but to me, too many purples. I think the Lorac pallet was AMAZING though so I appreciate your review! Hopefully they'll make an island sunset palette that'll fulfill my homesick needs! Happy Halloween!
You give the best advise on these palettes and do knock it out the park, one think I found that I am doing now is going back to the sponge tip applicator for putting on shadows on my lid and dabbing in while leave the most pigment on the eyes and only using brushes for blending, using sponge tip or finger to my eyes has been a game changer for me.

cis star could be the carmine in it...? it’s the ingredient that makes the reds/ pinks. Check out the ingredient list maybe? Then you can test the shades that doesn’t contain it.
I feel like if each of these palettes added a super deep nearly black matte midnight blue, it would have filled that need and still fit the theme perfectly. The desert dusk palette is so beautiful, I wish it was just a bit cheaper though. At least it isn't as expensive as the Natasha one...no way lol.
I have been trying to expand my eye beyond brown and bronze. I love these colors too but still in the comfort zone of someone like me who always wears neutral. Thank you for your thoughts. Very helpful
So glad you enjoyed the Lorac Desert Sunset palette. I own one and consider it a holy grail palette. The colors inside really compliment brown eyes. For those who have trouble with it, definitely use the sample primer it comes with (or any other eyeshadow primer) because that's what's really going to make the colors pop on your eyelids.
My personal fav palette of all time is the Huda desert dusk. But im not able to spend that money so i purchased the Bad Habit Athena palette and im very very happy. I love all the rich warm tones and the purples but the duo chromes shimmers and glitters are so unique to me and when i actually wear makeup, thats the kind of thing that gets my heart racing. Such beautiful colors and textures and a true representation of sunset to me.

When I saw that Lorac sunset palette I almost drooled! It’s soooo pretty! I think the other palettes in that collection are really interesting too. Lorac is such a great value for high end, I’m still in love with my original unzipped palette.

My first (and all-time favorite) eyeshadow palette was from Covergirl (I think... ) called "Island Sunset" with peach, pink, a blue-leaning lavender (like the "twilight" color that you swatched), along with a deep plum and a deeper purple with slight gray /navy undertones. I was INSTANTLY smitten!!!For *35 YEARS* I have been looking high & low for another sunset-colored palette to love!So now sunset palettes are everywhere and I'm just about too damn old to wear those incredible shades!!! But thanks for the reviews... I don't mind experiencing them vicariously :)

Love the OG shoutout to the "Happy Place" palette - if anyone is looking for a drugstore version I have the Maybelline Eye Studio quad in "Copper Chic" (it's my OG sunset palette). I personally don't feel like I need 10+ of these "sunset" shades, so having four quality drugstore options works for me! That formula can seriously hang with high end shadows. It’s funny because I love her reviews even though my logic is basically the opposite of hers. While she looks for a palette that has everything, I look for one that has nothing that I already have. So the super dark shade to me is totally a skip because I already have that in so many other palettes. If I were to ever pay 129 dollars for a palette it better give ULTRA NEVER EVER SEEN BEFORE shadows, because if I had one super similar shade in my collection I would consider that a waste of my money.

There's a difference with already having shadows in your collection and there not being deep enough shadows in a palette to complete a look. It's not like they had to throw in a black shade, but something deeper.

I got the Lorac dessert and mountain palettes. I love em! I'm also a fan of their smaller palettes that came out at the same time.I''m enjoying the purple/peachy/berry reds they've been putting out in the makeup world. It's about time.
So many "sunset" palettes that have purple and blues as well as traditional sunset colors have been coming out lately. I am very happy to see a round up of the good and bad

I was able to create a complete look with my ND Lila palette & I didn't need to reach anywhere else .... just my experience with it & im def eyeing the Lorac & peachy palettes ... I also got the ND sunset palette which is also stunning & did include some darker contrast shades
