I know 4 parents that had that same problem, but 2 of them are still trying to fix the situation, I've only ever heard it happen to father's though. Some father's make a tenth of what their ex wife made when they divorced and they split the child 50/50 and somehow the father's still end up paying child and spousal support, maybe all the single people have the right idea, lol
The end is my favorite part ( repeating everything for the camera while they're on the background listening everything and making all sorts of faces 😂) love you judge
The correct thing to do would be to base his child support office $50,000 a year income not what he has in property she could say okay you have to sell that property and put half of it in an account for his son when he turns 18 that would be the correct way to do it
Right sell your parents (that passed away) property and assets to make ends meet your not making 40k on the cows every year to make it fair to about a 60k year salary that's making an extra 10k more than his job I bet the property and cows dont bring anything in all the cows do is provide enough for in home milk and maybe selling some milk to neighbors and friends if it was a farm that made living off cow milk had all the machinery that helps produce milk and store it and you made 40k pff that exactly then I could understand but no way in hell I'd sell my deceased parents property because of a God damn close to 2k a month child support that's 24 k a year that's 1k of being half his actual income property should have nothing to do with it thats like oh well he inherited a 100k dollar dog and thats an asset cause you can make money off that dog I'm going to make you pay substantially more because you have an expensive dog you inherited like this one episode doesnt make q shot tone of sense to me

I guess he better sell his land and kattle. This happened to a friend of mines. His wife died. He and she had life insurance policies. The other baby mother found out and reported to the child support office. He was paying child support faith fully. The child support people froze the man bank account to give the greedy baby mother the money. He was upset. Explained to the child support people that the money was for his children who mother had past away. The child support people did let the baby mother know that it was paid in full. So his children had to struggle. So its not right to take everything from the other party. It should be a reasonable amount. Not from inheritance either. Get you 2 jobs to make your ends meet.
Welp he never should have pretended loke he didnt have a whole baby out there already. Espically if he wasnt helping her in the begining. Karma always bites you in the ass. Now he have kids on both sides he have to pay up for
My parents owned too many assets for any government assistance But guess what House was up for sheriffs sale multiple times By no means we’re we “rich” Land cost money Cattle. I doubt his income off them is a lot They’ll get old & die. Where’s the assets
Agreed. That’s is wrong. Property shouldn’t matter. People’s retirement shouldn’t either. It’s insane. If you gotta pay out of assets while the kids are younger, I personally would consider that their inheritance. “Go talk to your mom about why you aren’t in my will” 😂

Please tell me how 40000 worth of cows equal an extra 40000 a year income? After wrap your head around that one how are you going to make a man that just lost his parents sell the family farm and cows? This just goes to show how sexist and messed up the family court system is. Does her potential income account for anything? How about her assets? When this man loses everything will you then lower his child support? Does the family court entertain the thought this man and his child are going to live in poverty while with him due to this? Not to mention once this man loses everything he won't be able to teach his kid the wonderful life lessons that are learned working on a farm?
Ronny Ziesmer - Boo who - cry me a river. Do you think those cattle are pets? No he will be using them for breeding and selling them for income. How do you figure his child will live in poverty? I agree. He shouldn't have to be forced to sell his land , cattle, etc. He should be required to pay CS, yes, but on his actual income and anything that he sells such as the cattle or crops, NOT on land that he pays property tax on and that isn't gaining him an income.
@zholland93 If ya bring a child into the world, its your responsibility, even when your marriage splits... cant just walk out of the door an let your partner care for the child. I really feel as though something that is recurring monthly like child support should only be based on recurring income with a bonus when and only when an asset is sold.

Child support really needs a reform,we need to figure out how much does it cost to raise a child and be same for everybody and leaving the option to pay more if you want.
That's not really reasonable due to every child/family having different needs. You can't do a generic income and then blanket it across the board. What about those after school activities that cost money that not every child has. What about specific medical conditions that require out of pocket expenses. What about books, supplies, etc for you child outside of the norm, ie, I child that in AP classes. This is why they have a baseline and adjust it accordingly. If you are not the one there on a day to day bases taking care of the needs, then you should be the one to help lighten the load financially speaking. Now I will say, I don't agree with child support that is just high for no reason. Such as the NCP making 100,000 and the CP making 30,000 so they give the CP child support based of the NCP's 70,000 income (offsetting it). I honestly believe it should be based on the needs of the child. But again, if your not the one there on a day to day bases with the child then you should be paying a little more so that the child can do the extra things that they would be able to do if they were in your custody. JS

Makes no sense how an asset's worth can be added to the income. In this case the 40k cattle was added to his income of 50k. So the court looked at the worth of the cattle as something that he gets every year. NO!!! If he were to sell that cattle he will get 40k ONE time not EVERY YEAR. Makes no logical sense.
Walter H Thank you for tuning in and commenting. Deemed income sets a reasonable amount of child support based on a person’s assets, even if they are not income producing. Based on his testimony, the cattle were worth $40,000. That’s deemed income (the $40k) and someone can be ordered to pay child support off of that amount.
@@JudgeVondaB Thanks for responding. I understand that. I never questioned if it could or could not be done. The law is the law wether we agree or not. I questioned the logic. His child support was based off of 90k annual income. However even if he did sell the cattle he only has that 90k for THAT year. But every year after that he's paying support based on 90k while only bringing in 50k. Again, it makes no logical sense.
Walter H You’re welcome! Oh ok, I got you. I don’t necessarily agree with everything either. I try to educate people through this show of what exists so people will know what’s to expect when headed into child support Court.
@@JudgeVondaB Right, and the reality is what's to expect is for Men to be screwed. Yea I know women get screwed too but numbers don't lie. 82% of women win child support/custody trials. That's a huge number and I strongly doubt that's a coincidence.

IM gonna have to bust ya on this one. Only monetary inheritance can be included in calculating support payments , and only in certain states. Land and chattle can only be calculated if sold. So whoever this case was based on was unlawful and the father has grounds to appeal.

I'm obsessed - I love this channel! Judge V - I wish you'd been able to handle my parents divorce and child support cases - there were four of us and my dad is the biggest lover- couldn't even pay my mom 200 a month - we were on chips in MS and she'd have to basically beg my grandparents to either pay or make him pay just so we could have lunch money 🫠 And this man still thinks he was done wrong.
This is redicoulous. So everytime you get property you can't make money on it you have to sell it and give a percentage of child support. This is a racket.
Welcome to merica. Where judges, lawyers, lobbyists, and politicians dictate what somebody pays for a kid. One person can work and the other one can sit back and enjoy the kid. Disgusting what that judge did. And her terrible smirk
If he had just paid support based on his salary when initially asked the property would not have come into it. He seemed to feel if he spent time with his son he was exempt from paying support. Not true. Child still needs money for things no matter the parenting arrangement...
Nope, she based it off the posdibl6income for the cows. She knew better than to play with the land! If he wasn't going to stay in the business then sell the cows outright and go back to court to modify support the following year. By law you can take the mother back when you have a change in circumstance! She at this point would have to reduce support because he got rid of the income producing cows! The mother git one year at 1200 a month and now will probably get less than half after she reruns those numbers!
Nah this judge is everything!!!!💙💙💙 this is the energy i am trying to have when i become a judge! Nah him taking out the hearing aid had me dead. Then gonna ask the judge since she so good at math. Oh nah! Sell that land sir 😂😂😂
The CS is suppose to be based on primary and not secondary (sustainable) income. The farm is non producing and even if he did sell it.. it is not sustainable income, therefore should not count as income at all. Once that money is gone it is gone.
This kinda unfair. I can understand if he getting some income from farm but if he is not getting an income from or even has to pay for the farm isn't profitable. He should be put on child support on what he is earning not he may earn.
Right? All of these folks on here complaining about the unfair judgment seemed to have forgotten he left the woman for another and then paid NOTHING in child support for 6 years! He got off lucky. Even if she only went back the 4 years she is able to, he got off lucky.
Judge is wrong . Yes he will , year after year until a reasonably judge hears the case . By then the guy will be broke . But the mother is happy she is living it up . She makes her income and gets 20 % of his .
“You came in just to waste my time”, my favorite saying. If you don’t mind, I’m gonna adopt that saying 😅. I found this channel, and I just keep watching them. Love you Judge Vonda B ❤!! You’re always for the children, and it should always be that way 😊! That “father”, if you can even call him that, is disgusting 😡. Oh, isn’t he wonderful, he takes him to the farm 🙄. He was left so much and hasn’t given her anything at all from the time they split. Sorry excuse for a father 🙁😔.
I never understand when a non-custodial parent ends up responsible for 100% of anything (insurance in this case). Both parents have a responsibility to the child. He was wrong for not paying anything, but she could have taken him to court immediately. I also didn't hear anything mentioned about her income, which confused me.
I'll never understand any location that doesn't take both parents' income into consideration. For example, if the custodial parent is wealthy and the non-custodial is barely making it, I would think it would do a disservice to the child to order support based on the guidelines seen on this show. How could it be in a child's best interests to have a parent who might not even be able to afford a home due to support guidelines (thus causing them not to have visitation)? Or to have a parent suffering from depression because they have lost everything? I do fully believe every parent is responsible for supporting their children, but the guidelines too often sway from what is actually in the best interests of the children.
I believe the calculations she uses is based on Texas law. Which I would guess the %’s used to determine support takes into consideration that it is double the % to care for the child.
Vonda really disgusted me on this one. You can't force a man to sell his family land like that and then pretend that its all righteous and shit especially when she's playing fast and loose with the math like that.
I agree. Thats family asset. And his parents passed away. Like girl how would you like it if your mom gave you a home that’s sentimental and someone forced you to sell it? Cant you sue for emotional distraught?
@@bbwaifuwu Yeah and the big thing for me is that those assets can be used to better his living situation as well as his child's if he doesn't sell them. Not to mention that she's setting the regular child support amount based on forcing him to sell all the cattle for a one time injection of funds instead of a steady income ruining the money making potential of the asset while putting him on the hook to keep it up without that asset; its asinine. It also means he can't pass on a fully functional farm to his son for graduation like he'd planned basically allowing the mother to liquidate the asset out from under her son for her own benefit.
He was nasty! Bad attitude, I hope his secretary takes the other half of his money... Then, he can have nothing to complain about. I also think he should of had to pay all the back pay that he missed from the last 6 months.
$40,000 is not a lot of money, One day the tax assessor told me my property that I bought for $20,000 was worth $64,000 I asked if he would pay that for it,he laughed and said hell no ,it ain't worth nothing if you" CAN'T " sell it.
Hey Vonda B, love your show, the only real question i have is do most support preceedings actually only take that long in real life? it looks like all of the important work is done before the court date with income verifications, and the judge is mostly there to make a final decision and make sure the information that has been gathered is accurate
So he thinks that taking his son to the farm. Getting Free Labor out of his son, baleing hay, milking the cows, stacking hay, feeding the cows, is sufficient Child Support?
Last I checked cows take money/time to raise like a child. Another thing is cows can die, get injured, and have vet bills. Even if you sell the cows, each cow can be valued differently if sold, in case the cow is older could have lesser value, if the cows go to a auction they could be auctioned at a low price that is well below the 40k but it depends on the demand. It is not logical to make a cow a asset unless it is know to be producing money. I dont know how does it make sense to 40k of cows can be added to the guys yearly income if he makes 50k a year. It would sense if you add it for one year, but would matter at this point the kid is almost grown up. I have another question why is the mother's income not incorporated in the child support payment? I know the mother has custody and is doing her best raise the child, but cant just one person's income into account.
Another lovely law in Texas that caters to women and that it doesn't take the custodial parent's income into consideration or at least the law says the judge doesn't have to but most do!

Right sell your parents (that passed away) property and assets to make ends meet your not making 40k on the cows every year to make it fair to about a 60k year salary that's making an extra 10k more than his job I bet the property and cows dont bring anything in all the cows do is provide enough for in home milk and maybe selling some milk to neighbors and friends if it was a farm that made living off cow milk had all the machinery that helps produce milk and store it and you made 40k pff that exactly then I could understand but no way in hell I'd sell my deceased parents property because of a God damn close to 2k a month child support that's 24 k a year that's 1k of being half his actual income property should have nothing to do with it thats like oh well he inherited a 100k dollar dog and thats an asset cause you can make money off that dog I'm going to make you pay substantially more because you have an expensive dog you inherited like this one episode doesnt make q shot tone of sense to me
This bitch is crazy.. just because you have assets doesn’t mean you’re making money off them.. what kinda math is she doing ?
I totally didn’t realize this wasn’t a real show until several episodes in! I’m really enjoying this channel! I can’t stop watching!
This one hits home. My sisters and I were adopted and if my parents ever said that to us girls to our faces ooooo that'd make my blood boil. Like don't call don't show up nothing.
Absolutely love her telling him he's ridiculous!
I LOVE this judge and it boggles my mind the way these dead beat parents think! Get em Judge!
Judge...these are some wicked people you have in court. The child has done nothing to deserve how the non paying parent is treating them. Such a shame.
Blessings from England 🇬🇧
I guess he better sell his land and kattle. This happened to a friend of mines. His wife died. He and she had life insurance policies. The other baby mother found out and reported to the child support office. He was paying child support faith fully. The child support people froze the man bank account to give the greedy baby mother the money. He was upset. Explained to the child support people that the money was for his children who mother had past away. The child support people did let the baby mother know that it was paid in full. So his children had to struggle. So its not right to take everything from the other party. It should be a reasonable amount. Not from inheritance either. Get you 2 jobs to make your ends meet.
That's fuckedup🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️
Welp he never should have pretended loke he didnt have a whole baby out there already. Espically if he wasnt helping her in the begining. Karma always bites you in the ass. Now he have kids on both sides he have to pay up for
My parents owned too many assets for any government assistance
But guess what
House was up for sheriffs sale multiple times
By no means we’re we “rich”
Land cost money
Cattle. I doubt his income off them is a lot
They’ll get old & die. Where’s the assets
Agreed. That’s is wrong. Property shouldn’t matter. People’s retirement shouldn’t either. It’s insane. If you gotta pay out of assets while the kids are younger, I personally would consider that their inheritance. “Go talk to your mom about why you aren’t in my will” 😂
I just discovered this channel 😂 and I love it 😂😂 Judge Vonda is toooooooo funny 😂but definitely serious about the business at hand with each and every case. She reminds me of KeKe Palmer and LeToya Luckett mixed together. Very beautiful ❤️ and keeps it all the way real!
200,000 a year? Does he get the 20 acres and 40k cattle annually?
09oo on
His income is approx. $50k a year. He inhereted property totalling approx $200k.
She calculated it off of his salary and the cattle only. Not the land
No, but as long as he keeps it...
Damn imagine if he had forty acres and a mule 🤔
The mother has been paying for this child for 6 years with nothing from the Dad- Can you say deadbeat? To think this guy works in our social system- what a joke!
@@joytoyouandme4593 wow do you assume much? How was the custody split? Do you assume that women always get custody? How much does she make a month? Do you realize how much money it takes to run a farm let alone a tiny 10 acre one with no resources and a supposed 40k worth of cattle. Do you honestly think that that tiny farm is going to make 40k a year?
I been up all night/morning binging this channel ❤ thank you judge Vonda

She says "sell your family farm to comply with this." Like holy shit... I will NEVER had children and risk being in a position to be in front of a judge like this.
Me too. No marriage ever!
Its still your child.. its gonna need to eat, drink, do sports.. go to the doctors? you cant deny these, can you? So, given your attitude, I appreciate your decision, its wise and probably best for you and the not born child.
@@tobiasehling6314 it has the literal definition of nothing to do with the children or their care, it has everything to do with the partner having too much control over things like an inherited family farm. Kids can live on the farm, doing all the things you described, without the need for the spouse to come after it. Their needs would be met, and someone didn't have to be a harpy about it.

@@zholland93Im pretty sure we can agree to disagree big time ;) If you and your spouse got a child, which lives mainly with either one of you, one of you ve got to pay child support to support the child... hasnt anything to do with spousal support, that money is supposed to benefit the child... as is paying for fkin health insurance... You just cant say "hey, he can visit me on the weekends... feedin horse..." Althought Its at least debatable which amount of his assets can be taken into considerence... Judge assuming 20% roi on his assets seems lil bit exxagerated ... however... payin not a fckin cent for his own child for at least 6 years kills it for me...
Read the purple info panel at the end of the show people! It clearly states "The scenarios depicted in this show are fictitious!" They are actors!
She's crazy... she can base it off of his assets.. that means she should take into consider everyone's cars 20k, houses 200k, bank accounts 2k, and if they make 40k dollars at a job a year... wtf!? And then ramp up the child support! So we're supposed to sell our houses, cars and and loose our jobs?

@@JudgeVondaB so why not apply it equally in every case?
I really feel as though something that is recurring monthly like child support should only be based on recurring income with a bonus when and only when an asset is sold.

Taking his hearing aids out lmao 😂 my grandpa would turn his down too 😁
Child support really needs a reform,we need to figure out how much does it cost to raise a child and be same for everybody and leaving the option to pay more if you want.
Thats already been done multiple times by most major universities. But you are right it needs to be reformed.
JS
@@doasisaynotasido7673 needs are rather basic. Shelter, food, clothes school expenses, insurance not mommys 50,000 suv in the driveway to make her payments.

Walter H It’s changing, believe me. I have many male clients who now have custody of their children and the mom is paying child support.
Wow. Unbelievable the audacity. She's been raising his son alone for the last 6 years and he didn't think she needed money to do that? I would've asked for backpay. They can do up to 4 years. He has over $200K. What a deadbeat.
IM gonna have to bust ya on this one. Only monetary inheritance can be included in calculating support payments , and only in certain states. Land and chattle can only be calculated if sold. So whoever this case was based on was unlawful and the father has grounds to appeal.
The audacity of this guy HE wanted to have kids HE adopted the son HE has to pay!
I have to say, so ur going to base the child support off of land and property a person inherits... so in order to get off from under the scrutiny of a high support claim a person has to sell their property... considering all things that’s a law that needs to change
In some states if a MAN mentors a child and spends a huge amount of time with the child, and never having a relationship with the mother at any level..... That dizzy EVIL BITCH can file for CHILD SUPPORT .....CHILD SUPPORT is a God Damn scam and this Satanic Family Court system knows this. As these Judges also get there Indirect CUT $$$ too....period
I'm obsessed - I love this channel! Judge V - I wish you'd been able to handle my parents divorce and child support cases - there were four of us and my dad is the biggest lover- couldn't even pay my mom 200 a month - we were on chips in MS and she'd have to basically beg my grandparents to either pay or make him pay just so we could have lunch money 🫠
And this man still thinks he was done wrong.
Joseph Morabito so the mother paying for and caring for a child for 16 years and begging for dads help for the last 2 is wrong? Really
Joseph Morabito so true

I knew this was going to be a good one lol I love the ones with the “entitled” people because she gets them together
The judge said, "I'm getting ready to bother you with these numbers." That was the line for me!
I never understand when a non-custodial parent ends up responsible for 100% of anything (insurance in this case). Both parents have a responsibility to the child. He was wrong for not paying anything, but she could have taken him to court immediately. I also didn't hear anything mentioned about her income, which confused me.
This show is very one sided for sure !!!! And really all she does is put in the numbers and boom you owe this !!!! Smh
He gave up his hearing aid! 😂😂 Such a child... Martha only has 2 more years to deal with the fool 🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️

I love this judge. She don’t take crap from anyone! 😂😂
Y’all know the kid is 16 right? Meaning he only needs to pay 2 years worth of child support and he’s done
