Haha, yeah, I thought it was a tigersnake from my bike, but since looked it up and it was just an angry python. Wish we had have known, cause I would have made tom pick it up!
Im really liking this adventure series mate. Makes me want to do one myself. I think I would do it on a propper adventure tourer though. Nerb looks like he has a comfortable setup.
+War Machine Motovlogs for the road they are great, but in the technical stuff the small light bikes win, Nerb is just special and can ride his 1190 everywhere.
If that was a black-headed python (and it looked like it might have been) then they are not venomous and actually quite friendly as far as snakes go. People keep them as pets. Did his tubliss actually fail? The inner tube popped?
I actually really like tubeless. It means no rim locks are needed and puncture repairs are easy. A tube can always be put in if there is trouble. You can air down. I have run 15psi without a problem. I wouldnt run less though.
I'm really enjoying these vids and the chatter from Tom, but it always seems he's the last one to offer any help be it picking up a bike or changing a tyre. Even a novice can pass spanners or help hold parts.
it was black headed python they arent inland enough yet if it was a taipan would of been the coastal taipan and the inland taipan is the most venomous not one of
Hi Tom I'm thinking about Buying a BMW GS 650 Sertoa as my first bike despite the fact that they were recalled because of a computer software glitch.Have you any advice for a first time GS purchaser?
When Aboriginal people burn land it's called fire-stick farming. Eucalypts are some of the only trees on earth that recover after burning - means that they can set fire to the undergrowth to clear it away and that makes the ground fertile for new/better foliage.
i once again thank you and appreciate all you do , to keep us all entertained , i love the videos and love your wheelies .....loads of love and positivity coming your way from mumbai - india ( live life full throttle .....braaaappppp)
Hey Tom, i'd love to do this so much but i'm only 17 :D Would you recommend me doing something like this when I'm a little older? Hes got a UHF attached to a Sena SR10 with the Push To Talk button on the handle bars, The Sena SR10 is connected via bluetooth to his Sena 20s in his helmet.
I just googled that snake. If it's the Taipan which is indigenous to that area, it's one of if not the most deadly in the world. I know I think I'll fuckin goad this here snake. Nah
Black headed pythons are striped, I couldn't really make out any stripes in the video, it was probably an inland Taipan, in which case it's the most venomous land snake on the planet... and I wouldn't be trying to touch it :P

Did his tubliss actually fail? The inner tube popped?
We didnt know it was a python at the time. My wheels are tubeless, not tubeliss. Too many dents in the rim let it leak, so in went a tube.
+Nerb1
nerb do you prefer tubeless tires on spoked wheels? is it worth it?
OH, *tubeless*, lol. Yeah tubeless is not that great for offroad because they go flat too easily and you can't air down if needed.
I actually really like tubeless. It means no rim locks are needed and puncture repairs are easy. A tube can always be put in if there is trouble. You can air down. I have run 15psi without a problem. I wouldnt run less though.
Your videos are awesome Tom !
I'm really enjoying these vids and the chatter from Tom, but it always seems he's the last one to offer any help be it picking up a bike or changing a tyre. Even a novice can pass spanners or help hold parts.

Man. your bike is nice!
This is a really stupid question I know. But what are the laws on speed limits on these roads? Are there any? @ridingwithtom
Hey Tom! How many parts are there?? Cheers!
hi mate ! what are your thoughts on the 690 ? making the choice between the 500 and the 690 for adventure riding.
Wow "didn't even bring tubes" I wouldn't be able to sleep.
The wheelies do get tiring.
What cameras did you bring to the cape? And how many sd cards and batteries did you bring ?
GoPro, Sony rx100 and my phone. 4 GoPro batteries, 3 Sony batteries. 8 or so 64gb sd cards. Charged the batteries off the bike every night.
