🔥WE DID IT! Crossing Cape York hauling 7m trailers (Frenchman’s Track, North QLD) (Part 2 of 2)

- PART 2: The journey continues, as the boys continue along the challenging Frenchman's Track in Cape York, towing fully loaded 3-tonne / 7-metre trailers behind the Back in Black 79 Series and the D-Max!
Joined by their good mate JB from BCF, the team must use all of their combined 4WDing experience to overcome the Pascoe, the Wenlock and all of the difficult terrain in between.
The goal is to reach the West cost of Cape York for some epic boating, camping and fishing - but it goes without saying that they'll have to earn it first!

In my travels through Australia I've only managed to see snakes up close in the zoos and reptile parks. I love them and have handled many python varieties in those places... So jealous of your random encounter with old mate snake!

I think you should call Rocket Rod to get an auto box. Less wheel spin and no worry of burning the clutch. What do ya reckon Jase?
Seems like they have gone back and forth with the autos, I remember Jase saying its better for traction but then they had to bail out of one of their trips after Jases 200 lost reverse.
@@kelkev85 The trans has a new electronic system and has seen a lot of tough tracks and kilometres for several years. No problems. I encourage people to watch Rocket Rod’s 79 Series Landcruiser Mods.

Amazing adventure. I saw you do things I didn't think Overlanders could do. Entertaining, informative and inspiring. My question is, would you tells us all more about your winchws, ahow you have them installed, and how you power them? I don't know why they didn't go up in smoke. QUESTION, live in New England in the USA and four wheel, so not a rookie, do quite a bit of driving on sand
watching you fix the tire, seeing the aggressive tread and I get the sidewall protection,
But onthe TRAILER, wouldn't it be smarter to have a flatter tread, more flotation? A tough tire, but smoother tread that floats over soft tracks more easily
Would be easy with the winch and Max tracks just slow...?

that is mean thats one good winch
And it would have come up better if your wheels were pointing in the direction of the winch cable! (15:28 minute into the video)

If you separated the trailers from the 4x4's, and winched the trailers up separately, it might have been easier.
