You know that age without auto tune? Just actual artists playing their instruments which they mastered, and performing. Raw, genuine, real and bloody brilliant
Brian writes such powerfully sad heartbreakers. Yeah, Brian on piano (with his guitar across his lap), Freddie on vocals goes up the stairs, then he trots down the stairs (still in full voice), over to pick up on the piano as Brian starts his guitar solo. These guys are legit musicians.
Sometimes you cry because you are moved just by the beauty of a performance, or how wonderfully they played…. And how it’s a bygone time and there’s not enough music like this today. You’re nostalgic for a time before you were born. And sometimes…..sometimes…..it’s because you see them young and realize that they are now either gone or old. And that time is fleeting and it happens to all of us. It makes you realize your own mortality. I know. I can’t believe I find myself in my 70’s. I’m horrified but grateful to still be around.
I discovered Queen and Freddy after my husband passed four years ago. One of my husband’s favorite songs sung by Sarah Brightman was written by Queen. From that , I started listening to Queen….went down the Queen rabbit hole and haven’t come up yet!
I’m so jealous of anyone starting their Queen journey, you have so much to look forward to with these 4 supremely talented musicians! Going down the Queen rabbit hole is a wonderful journey, enjoy! More Queen reactions pls, love from Australia 🇦🇺
You didn’t miss out. You’re able to go back and hear these amazing artists. It’s like me being able to listen to the amazing Ella Fitzgerald despite her best work happening before I was alive. Also, the Montreal concert is my favorite live Queen recording, even over Wembley and Live Aid.
Still one of the most underrated songs from Queen. This song gets me every time and I’ve heard it a million times. Every time is like the first time. Incredible music it really cant be described in words.
I saw them on this tour, for the Game album, at Madison Square Garden in September 1980. This song brought the whole place to its feet. Over 40 years later I still get chills hearing this song. If you look closely Brian has the Red Special in his lap while playing the piano.
Loving your reactions… Queen has such an amazing diverse catalog that I can’t wait for you to continue your journey…. Notable Highlights that you must hit along the way is the Live version of Somebody to Love from Montreal…. It is simply fantastic and takes the song to new highs…. Body Language is amazing as well and a good example of their diversity….. and then their complete ICONIC set from Live Aid is established as the Greatest Live Performance Ever…. It is 20minutes where the entire world was theirs and theirs alone. Keep on rocking and appreciating all that Queen offers…. You have just scratched the surface!!!
Such a talented group of guys! Brian was such a wonderful songwriter. Queen has such an extensive catelog that there is not a bad song that I have ran across and I have gone through almost all of it. Thank you for your reaction and have a great day!
If you’ve only done 4 or 5 Queen songs, you have barely scratched the surface. So many great live and studio versions. Take the suggestions offered by we Queenies, we won’t lead you astray. White Queen live at the Odeon Hammersmith 1975 is amazing
Thank goodness for modern technology and how we are able to pull up anything we want. We get to relive our youth through younger generations like yourself who fall in love with the music and have great reactions like we did. How cool is it that you get to rewatch your own reactions to the music you are introduced to and throughly enjoy? Wish I could go back in time and watch myself. I loved Queen and still do! RIP Freddie.
Just after Freddy Mercury died and everyone was doing tributes, I learned so many songs I had assumed were other bands were actually Queen. This one I never heard before. So thank you for that.
“It started off so well .. “ this beauty was penned by guitarist Brian May inspired by a friend’s difficult break-up! Beautiful ballad .. Just love Brian’s transition from piano to guitar solo while Freddie glides into the piano perfectly! 🕊🕊 Fat Bottomed Girls live in Milton Keynes 1982. 🔥🔥
I love this song and I love Brian on the piano with his guitar in his lap ready to hit it hard for the guitar part and for Freddie to take over the piano for the last part of the song. The difference in their touch on the keys really gives some additional texture to the song. Thank you for your reaction.
Brian May playing the piano with his guitar in his lap. In "Spread your wings " John Deacon played the piano with his bass in his lap and as soon as he hits the last note on the piano he's already playing the bass. Roger Taylor originally played the bass but switched to playing drums and Freddie well Freddie could do it all. Such an incredible group of multi talented guys working together so seamlessly. You didn't miss out on their music, you're just getting started! ☺ Enjoy your journey.
And now Dr SIR Brian May, CBE, BSc, PhD (knighted in the King's New Year's Honours List). What a man, no longer just Brian but Sir Brian. It's insane how talented he is.
Here are some classic Queen songs that you may enjoy: In my defense The show must go on Cool cat Headlong Seven Seas of Rhye Somebody to love ,Montreal, 1981 live Is this the world we created? Dragon attack , live Teo torriate, live in Tokyo Breakthrough Thank you for your appreciation of QUEEN. They were phenomenal.
There are so many great songs from Queen to choose from. I recommend "Radio Ga Ga" and "Under Pressure". Each of the members of Queen wrote a #1 hit. You could go to the LIVE AID 20 mins Queen performed, and pick any of the songs they during that performance for a hit. It's been called the BEST 20 mins of Rock N Roll!
I saw Queen four times during the 70’s-80’s. If I may suggest a few live performance videos that in my opinion are worthy of your time and effort. Who Wants to Live Forever-from Wembley. Somebody to Love-Montreal 1981. Love of my Life-Rio and of course their set from Live Aid. Please, go down that rabbit hole to explore their music library. You WILL NOT be disappointed. These are just four suggestions, but you’ll get many more I’m sure. Enjoy your trip if you decide go there. 🍻🖖
You know when Brian was a teen- he and his father made his guitar at home- using things around the house-. That’s his Ted Special he still plays to date- Queen is my generation- I am in my ‘ 70’s like Freddie would have been and Bri and Rog also are- it would feel like a sad feeling to just be finding Queen- especially our Freddie- please Sir- more Queen! Exercises in Free Love by Freddie- Play The Game Melancholy Blues-
Fantastic song and one of many from Queen FREDDIE had such an amazing voice he can't be touched and so much credit to Brian may such a talented person just a unique Band. RIP KING FREDDIE 🙏❤
I think we all have a difficult time putting into words just how Freddie's performances make us feel. He has a God-given ability to touch our souls, not only because of his incredibly beautiful voice, but also the pure authenticity with which he performs every song...and so much more. This is what legends are made of! 💖💖💖
Awesome reaction! We understand what you mean. If you want a really ethereal and spine chilling performance from Queen check out White Queen - Queen live at the Hammersmith Odeon 1975. Everyone in Queen was a really good musician as well, Queen are somewhat similar to Rush in that manner, where everyone is really a top rated musician and of course they could really sing harmonise as well, and Freddie Mercury is also known as the best frontman.
Watching Queen live is a masterclass of how it should be done. I like this particular release as it includes Freddie intro. Music should make you feel something & Freddie was very good at expressing emotion & passion.
You didn't miss out - you're hearing it at this moment. That's the beauty of music. It lasts so much longer than these grubby bodies of ours do. I realize that it's disappointing not to have seen Queen in their heyday, but at least you can see/hear them now!
Thanks, Salvo! Brian wrote this.. as you saw, started on keys.. with his guitar in his LAP.. then jumps up and solos... this entire band is awesome.. appreciate your reaction... if you haven't seen it yet, another incredible collaboration is the live version of "White Queen" at Hammersmith..every single member of the band is incredible.. and the interplay between Freddie & Brian is especially great.. when you have time & inclination: ua-cam.com/video/f8usNj4x9NA/v-deo.html
Great choice. You are a great reacter, you really appreciate the artistry and talent and also you feel the music. Love this performance and you really picked up on so many details of its greatness. I think you're making yourself clear, it is a very affecting song because the emotions are relatable and it's sung and played in a very sweet and expressive way without being kitschy or schmalzy or anything. You should react to Golden Boy, written/composed by Freddie with I think Tim Rice, performed by Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe (a famous opera singer of her time). It's incredible.
Queen, especially now, just sounds so nostalgic and fulfilling musically. I recommend some more special artists, such as Pink Floyd, Kate Bush, Talk Talk and Morrissey/The Smiths.
Thanks for your reactions to the best band ever ! I would suggest Father to Son Live at the Rainbow 74, Liar, Teo Torriate Tokyo 79 and Montreal 81, Milton Keynes 82 are both amazing concerts !! Queen never disappoints and you still have so many gems to discover !
My husband of ten years entered immortality eight days ago. “I can’t face this life alone!” That is why I am watching your reaction; it’s keeping me from being alone.😢
Freddie has a voice like no other!! Can you react to Queen “now I’m here” live at wembley 1986. Aside from the live aid performance, now I’m here is my next favorite.
Soo true !! Freddie the best ever walked on this planet no words to describe his talent but all the band are very talented as well freddie is the shining star can't help it❤❤😂
Unique Queen. . . . great cause Freddie and Brian did something different. Freddie didn't have to run up those steps to belt out Brian's lyrics, only to hurry back down, but they eased it into the show; Brian had no need to involve himself with the piano but obviously he wanted to and he could and it was wonderful he did, . .AND emotionally had his guitar teasing my tears. You know Brian wrote Save Me. Quite a show.
An underrated song of theirs few have reacted to is It’s Late. Its only barrier to being a hit in its own right was likely the misfortune to be on the same album as We Will Rock You and We Are the Champions. May I suggest you give it a try? I was too young to understand the emotional depth of the song when I heard the album, but it has always been the most striking song on News of the World. The lyrics version might be a treat.
Their are some awesome performances from the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert (@ Wembley Stadium). Gun’s & Roses we’re particularly great, as was George Michael, and Zucherro.
Here you go- March of the Black Queen--Too Much Love Will Kill You-- Body Language-- Dragon Attack--You Take My Breath Away-- In My Defense-- Under Pressure- Who Wants to Live Forever--I want it All-- to me live performances are best! Like Rock Montreal concert and Milton Keynes concert
No one will ever top Freddie's vocal abilities.
Queen...the best band ever!!!
Freddie Mercury, the best Frontman to ever live!!!! He could sing anything.
You know that age without auto tune? Just actual artists playing their instruments which they mastered, and performing. Raw, genuine, real and bloody brilliant
I love the bit where Freddie runs down the steps whilst holding a note perfectly.
I noticed the same thing. He is just heaven.
You will never find a finer Astrophysicist on the guitar. 😀

72. Fan!!!
4 genius in one band.
I discovered Queen and Freddy after my husband passed four years ago. One of my husband’s favorite songs sung by Sarah Brightman was written by Queen. From that , I started listening to Queen….went down the Queen rabbit hole and haven’t come up yet!
Queen never disappoints
Brian plays this song so sweet and nice on the piano.....then Freddy takes it over and BAM just owns the dang thing!! Bravo❤
You have to watch the full concert. One of the best with the Wembley concert ❤️❤️❤️
Keep going down the Queen rabbit hole-you will be amazed! ❤
I think your Queen reactions are my favorite. You wear your emotions and the music's effects right on your face. Freddie has that effect ❤
I’m so jealous of anyone starting their Queen journey, you have so much to look forward to with these 4 supremely talented musicians! Going down the Queen rabbit hole is a wonderful journey, enjoy! More Queen reactions pls, love from Australia 🇦🇺
More coming, greetings Australia!
They are so much better live than in albums, can’t say that about too many bands! Long live Queen!

That performance was pure art. And art should move you

Brian wrote this song when a friend was going through a rough divorce. Freddie sings it with such emotion.
It’s my favorite slower Queen song.
Such a talented group of guys! Brian was such a wonderful songwriter. Queen has such an extensive catelog that there is not a bad song that I have ran across and I have gone through almost all of it. Thank you for your reaction and have a great day!

Somebody to Love also from 1981..
Montreal...AMAZING!!!!!!!
You nailed it. The song is just so freaking good it’s hard to describe.
Just after Freddy Mercury died and everyone was doing tributes, I learned so many songs I had assumed were other bands were actually Queen. This one I never heard before. So thank you for that.
A performance of Freddie's that always moves me to tears is You Take My Breath Away live at Hyde Park.
Love Of My Life from this concert is outstanding. Great reaction.

"Days Gone bye" when People cared about their Craft , Your Expression said it All 😊❤
I saw them in 1982 It was one of the best concerts ever. Freddie was truly amazing.
The interlude in the middle shows how they were tight as a band...
So beautiful 🤩 who wants to live forever live at Wembley also Dragon Attack live Montreal thanks for your reaction ❤

Thank you love Freddie
A few other Queen heart tuggers I’d recommend are Nevermore, Teo Torriatte and Sail Away Sweet Sister.

My favourite hit of Queen's, and touches somewhere deep inside.
Brian playing piano with his guitar in his lap, then Freddie walking across stage perfectly and getting on piano while 👑👑👑👑
Freddie Mercury. One of the greatest ❤
THANK GOD i grew up with QUEEN!

Great song it always goes straight to my heart ♥ Great reaction
Always tears with this one.
You need to watch Queen's Live Aid performance which is considered to be the best rock performance ever.
My favourite Queen song is whatever one I’m listening to! There is never a bad Queen song, thank you, love your enthusiasm for the best band ever!
I love your reactions! Brian May-a musical genius and by all accounts-just a really nice human.

70s and 80s music was legendary. So glad for channels like this so we can reminisce.
Brian has the guitar on his lap and start playing it while Freddie is still on top of the stairs. Brian wrote the song.
Beautiful song

Just to give credit where credit is due……it’s DR Brian May. He has a PhD in astrophysics. Smart dude.
Genuine reaction to a amazing song 👍
One word. Beautiful!

The official vidro for this song is also very beautiful and compliments the emotion and story of the song quite well.
Try out Somebody to Love Milton Keynes 1982 you'll be blown away
You must do White Queen from Hammersmith odeon 1975.
Soo true !! Freddie the best ever walked on this planet no words to describe his talent but all the band are very talented as well freddie is the shining star can't help it❤❤😂
Love your reactions! Waiting on more Queen reactions! 🙂
I saw you react to somebody to love studio, but how about Somebody to Love live Montreal 1981?
Beautiful emotional song ,another couple of emotional songs are in my defence ,and mother love ,heart wrenching vocals ,glad you are enjoying queen x

The Switch. In one part you can see Brian's guitar strapped to his back in preparation.
Dragon on my back. Cool performance with audience participation prior to the actual pair
Queen love off my life live at rio it is good
Brian May can STILL shred nowadays! He has a youtube and tiktok channel and often posts really cool stuff
First! I’m never first on your channel. So just had to claim it. I won’t get another chance.
