I tried the recipe minus the rose harissa because I couldn’t find it but I added curry powder, butter masala, ground cumin, and chili powder, and it was amazing! my friends were extremely impressed and thought that I was a top Indian chef. Thanks to you.🤗
if you do not have rose harissa (or any harissa), you might have the base ingredients, as I mostly do and can "borrow" some rose petals from a few local gardens. The ingredients are: Rehydrated Paprika and Red Chilli Peppers, Sunflower Oil, Garlic, Salt, Mixed Spices, Rose Petals. Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid. I imagine some rose water might be fine, too. Based on ingredients for regular harissa, mixed spices probably include caraway seeds, coriander seeds, and cumin. I hate caraway with a passion and avoid that one. Lemon juice would be fine for the citric acid or even amchur powder.
I love caraway! Egg white makes me vomit. We're all peculiar in some way🙃!
@@acrobaticcripple8176 no doubt
This recipe is SO delicious and simple to make. I've made it so many times now. Thanks Chetna!
My pleasure 😊
We made this delicious cauliflower chickpea curry tonight, and I have to say, “ What an awesome dish”. We loved it so much, the flavors are so good together. As you can tell we absolutely enjoyed it very much. Thank you Chetna for this wonderful recipe.
This recipe makes the very best home made curry ever ! We absolutely loved it.Thank you Chetna, just awesome .
Looks amazing will definitely try this
Looks absolutely fabulous!! Thanks for this!
I'm just gonna make this now!!! Love your recipes
Great recipe! Thanks for sharing! 👍👍👍
What a fantastic recipe. I used tinned chickpeas but it still turned out beautifully. So simple but sooo tasty. Thank you Chetna 😊
Love that you describe steps as you go! I teach individuals with vision impairment sometimes and I'm always looking for videos with good thorough description!
This is the second curry I’ve tried from Chetna and both have been so delicious. Thank you, Chetna!!!
That looks so good! 😌 I was thinking just before you put the yoghurt on, "Dahi would go so well with that." And then you added it 😄 I'm gonna make this soon 😄 Thank you, Chetna 😄 You're amazing
That sounds amazing!
Another beautiful recipe! Thank you, Chetna!
My pleasure 😊
Hi, I really love your recipes which are great for making use of my garden gluts and freezing them as ready meals. I would love to make them for my sister, but anything from the capsicum family makes her ill for a few days. This means no sweet peppers, chillies or things made with them, eg harisa. As capsicums weren't discovered until the Americans were, what can I use as substitutes to get some of that flavour and punch? She is fine with mustard and ginger. I haven't found a cooked cucumber recipe from you, I'm still getting 3 cucumbers a day! I've tried a few but they seem thin in flavour. This may be a feature of cucumber! However the cucumber curries are so much more interesting than the British type soups, but still a bit bland but hot🤔 (yes I have used chilli where instructed). I added some carrot to one, which improved the general flavour, I have another recipe to try which includes cashew nuts. Perhaps, roasting the cucumber would help? I would love suggestions from you.
Your Pickle Spice Aubergine, and Sweetcorn recipes were delicious 😋😋.
Looks fantastic!!!
Stunning!
Your recipes are so flavorful. I always imagine I can smell the wonderful aromas as you incorporate the spices.
Awesome 👍 I'm trying this next week!!! 😀
What a great looking dish. Simple enough for me to give it a go I think too. Thank you.
I made this for dinner a few weeks ago and, again, for dinner tonight. This is such a delicious meal. I have two of your cookbooks, including your latest one. I plan on buying the rest over the next few months. Love your recipes!
Just cooking it now- it’s divine!!
Oh, I am making this tomorrow. Looks delish. Thanks!

Thanks
Wow! That is a really good way to cook cauliflower! Will be making that this afternoon! :)
That looks delicious I have those ingredients that will be lunch tomorrow. Yummy. Thanks for the video.
Hope you enjoy
Looks so delicious!🔥💕🙌
Great tasting, easy to cook family dinner. I have cooked quite a few of your meals so have the ingredients to hand. As such, this is tonight's dinner and any leftovers is lunch tomorrow.
Thank you @Chetna, love the channel and the ideas I take from you from it.
Very nice. I will give that a go.
I made this dish using cauliflower and tomatoes from our garden. (We freeze our tomatoes whole and then use them later in soups, sauces, stews, curry etc… because we are too lazy to can tomatoes in the summer time when the greenhouse is heavily producing.) I had to use a lot of self-discipline when cooking this dish because, honestly, I could have just eaten the whole tray of delicious roasted cauliflower 😂. Thank-you for this amazing recipe and for also providing ideas for substitutions for items that we did not have on hand (Rose Harissa). Thank-you Chetna… I look forward to trying out more of your awesome recipes from your channel 🌎💦Ⓜ️ary🇨🇦
This is just an amazing dish to alter up the vegetarian dinner nights ❤ perfectly balanced and very hearty and wholesome. Added a carrot and sweet potato to get a little extra veggies and served with basmati rice and raita. The entire family loved it.
Thanks for a great recipe 😍
Just love, love it! The best chickpea curry I’ve tasted!
Thanks so much,Chetna!

OMG that looks fantastic Chetna! I'm now super hungry 🧡 Mmmmm 🧡
Oh yum!
That's a must try recipe, with some great rice. Also I'd need more greens ❤
so pleased you're not wasting the core and leaves of the cauliflower - absolutely no waste and those bits taste delicious too!
Are you sure she used the leaves too?
I'm making it now 🤩
Yummy, thanks
I love the fact you don’t make us go through the horrible process of you chopping everything up. It’s amazing we just watch you cook and then eat perfection
Looks absolutely delicious
Thanks
my new favourite cook
Got hungry watching this. This is good sign I should give Cauliflower finally a go ☺️
Oh yeah!
Hi Chetna. I have only recently discovered your channel and have never seen you on TV. Anyway today I decided to cook this recipe. It was very easy for me as I had all the ingredients to hand. I used generous portions of the various spices plus I added a few Cardamom seeds. It was really delicious, hot and spicy. Thank you for this recipe.
I made a chickpea curry last night and thought you you Chetna! I use your channel so much. Much love!
That is awesome!
Chetna, that was incredible. Thank you for another amazing recipe. I'm enjoying chickpea curries everyday for the last 2 weeks since I discovered your channel. This one, with roasted cauliflower is super delicious and smoky, with great crunch from the cauliflower combined with soft and chewy chickpea. Just amazing!
That pot you’re using is beautiful! What brand is it?
I made this and loved it. I'm adapting it for sweet potato which I'm costing the chunks with Chilli Harrisa and roasting. I'm also going to add some coconut milk at the end. Top tip, if you have some coconut milk left over, pour it into an ice cube tray and freeze.
Please do a "Day in my Life" sort of a video...we viewers will be tooooooo happy!
Will do
@@FoodwithChetna thank you thank you...am already excited! Ur viewers will sooo happy to hear this!
Yes for a day in life
Chetna, the few recipes that I have cooked of yours have been absolutely delicious, thank you. (I've been cooking curries for over 40 years) I was just wondering why you don't use ghee? Perhaps you do? But the recipes I've done don't (I do) Nonetheless you are a fantastic chef and my guests have loved the curries 🤗💕🧡
Lovely! Thank you dearest! GREAT TIP BTW: I had left over Mejadra (Ottolenghi), which is a traditional rice and lentil dish easily made in large portions and it goes super well with this dish. Bringing to worlds together on a plate and it tastes like love!
Love your video.. thank you for a great recipe to try. I shared it with two of my friends who love cooking in hopes they'll make it next time I visit 😁☺ they always make something special
Hey Chetna! Your recipes are pretty cool, thank-you! One thing though….could you mention the measurement in cups, you tend to go with the metric system, makes it a little hard to follow.Thank-You
Sadly I dont cook in cups......
Chet a, I’m going to buy your healthy vegetarian cookbook for my Christmas gift this year. I can’t wait for the holidays.
Yeah!
Excellent Thank you Gita from Canada
Thanks Gita
Absolutely delicious 🙏
Thanks
I have all the ingredient yyeeaa!! This will be my dinner. It looks amazing
Hope you like it!
@@FoodwithChetna oh I know I will thanks again Chetna
Hi Chetna, greetings from Ireland, love your videos I was just wondering do you use any sugar in your curries, thank you.
My goodness that looks like heaven, I will be making this tonight for my dinner, as per you recipe. Thank you. John in Perth Western Australia. OZ
Hope you enjoy David
It’s seem very tasty thank you
it sure is
Ooohhhhh, it is sooooooo gooood. I can small it from the internet!!!! 😊😋😋
Blessings to you wonderful cook!
Thanks a lot
The addition of harissa sounds really good, I have a tube of it but only use it to make harissa yogurt dip. Now I have something else to use it for 😊 I hope to make this for my meatless Monday.
Sounds great!
Try smoked chilli harissa paste from Belazu. They do various version but if you use it donadd the chilli powder. This gives a warm deep heat which was great on the cauliflower.
This looks delicious it would be great if you could do a vegan cook book
The curry looks delicious. I have all the ingredients except the harissa. What would you recommend in it’s place? Kashmiri?
really yummy recipe.. i tried it came out well.. thank you for posting this recipe.. Could please also share Saute pan details.. its really looks cool
The food looks good but the cook looks better, what a stunning woman.
Just made this and it’s wonderful. Very quick and easy. The only problem is stopping yourself eating the cooled cauliflower before you serve it…whoops.
Thanks Chetna for that lovely recipe. I'm going to get right on it though I will have to use tinned chickpease. I like the way you utilised the cauliflower stalk, I'm going to do the same. Would you say it is a medium hot curry as I don't like it too hot?
yes medium is good
@@FoodwithChetna
I made it and it really was delicious. Took me ages, I wanted to be as accurate as possible with ingredients and measurements, especially as I didn't have one particular item
I tried it today, I just added spinach at the end and it was AMAZING, thank you so much
Is this dish and a good lentil soup in your cookbook?
Tonight's dinner! Thanks Chetna!
This dish is beautiful! I think I would have to make double the cauliflower, because I would eat it all while I was waiting for the curry to be done. lol
Yum
Yeah
Ooohhhhh, it is sooooooo gooood. I can smell it from the internet!!!! 😊😋😋
I think I will be adding it to our Thanksgiving dinner menu. Yuuummmm!
Blessings to you wonderful cook!
yeah
Can you tell us about cookware and serveware as you cook please
I made this today (with lentils instead of chickpeas because I ran out of them) and it was AMAZING!
Sounds delish. Which lentil did you use? Pray, do tell 🙏
@@Rashida961 Brown lentils!
@@sara5278 thank you! Cant wait to try that.
Your food makes me hungry, because you live what you cook. Have you ever made a blog for Lamb Pasanda?
Finally some Curry without coconut
99% of my curries don’t have coconut
Yummy
thanks
Looks wonderful! Is there a spice in this that would make it hot? Love Indian food but not hot!
Yes chilli powder or fresh chillies
@@FoodwithChetna can’t wait to try this! I’m new to this channel and love to make simple Indian dishes!
Keith Davidson if you ate vegetarian Curries you would be greatly surprised by the variety of vegetables, different flavours.
I gradually stopped eating meat and foul, health isn't great, not hungry, soon as those spices start to bloom in the pan I can't wait for it to be ready!
As I live alone now I bought a Halogen cooker, very useful, I'm not a processed food eater, cauliflower would go into it roast probably half the time, could probably do whole curry in it, as I've just got it, haven't gone down that route.
I like a quick curry, not laziness, can't stand long periods at present, but everyone of Chetna's Curries, I can't fault. Delicious.
You don't miss meat! I've given meat eaters Curry without them realising totally veg.
You'll also not get another takeaway!!
Excellent 👌🏻 Looks lovely 👌🏻 Greetings from Scotland 😊 Have a wonderful day everyone 🌻
Thank you! Cheers!
