Remember doing most of this in 1990 with a friend on a pair of TDR250’s. Long before it was the NC500 and when it had longer stretches of single track A roads, that went around the firths on the A9 south as there were few bridges. Pissed down for 9 days, we did 1500miles and camped. Will tweet you a piccy from John O Groats, the only time it stopped raining. Feel free to pass it round to inspire youngsters to do the route on small bikes, a GS is great and one advantage of being an oldie is that these bikes become accessible. But it is trips like those on the TDR, we did it again in ‘91 in the dry, that are formative in your biking career and we ‘elders’ should encourage it when we can. Stay safe.
Thank you so much for making these vlogs as a motorcycle fan with a massive soft spot for the GS this is the only chance I will get to experience riding one. Keep up the good work. Your making skint guys like me dreams come true.
Terrific Vlog!! Thoroughly enjoyed the pace of it. Great insight and honest opinion. Fantastic appreciation for surroundings. I was truly riding right alongside you . . . . "Keep on doin it!"
Thoroughly enjoyed these vids. I imagine there's nothing like exploring Scotland on a motorcycle...especially one as nice as yours. My son-in-law just completed the journey and I was wanting to get a feel for what he saw. We're from Southern California and he's now working in London so he's taking every opportunity to explore the UK. I was a US Marine stationed at RAF Edzell back in the 80's (which is now ancient history). I also must compliment you on your narration...very easy on the ears and well paced. Best to you and happy travels :)
Brilliant episode again TMF, lovely moody picture of GS with sign in backgroud. WOW!!! no warning as such to the dreaded traffic light, and the best bit of road in this episode the A939 without doubt.
Really enjoy your narration. My parents immigrated to the US from Aberdeen in 53. I visit Scotland often to see my family. I'm planning a trip to Zion National Park on my ST1300 next year from my home in Florida, however I would love to tour The UK on a bike. Great videos I'm really enjoying them. Thanks.
Nice one (again :-)) TMF, Scotland looks like a great ride. Four seasons in one day too! Keep up the great work, thanks for sharing your journey with us all. Most appreciated, as always.
TheMissendenFlyer I wouldn't say so, but as I usually ride with a pillion, it's inspired me to do some touring solo (which I've actually done this week over in Devon).
Great videos as normal TMF. Driven and ridden much of the route you took. Road to Applecross is difficult to ride but as someone has already said nowhere near as bad as Hardknott Pass. Couple of memories are riding east to west in the middle of nowhere we were by two police out riders approaching us and following in a car was either the Queen Mum or the Queen. One other memory took my dad up in the car and we stayed in Thurso. So that evening we went to go into the local pub and opened the door and it was ram full. We had forgotten England were playing Scotland so I suggested to dad it might be better to settle for fish n chips. Cannot remember who won now. I bet like me now after watching the Wildboys Scottish trip you want to follow their route as it looked great. Spring will soon be here.
Another great vlog in the series, took me back to my childhood as that was the area my mother was from, hoping to get up there on the RT later this year, keep them coming.
Just finished watching your tour, northcoast 500. Another great film can't wait to see the rest of your Arctic Circle one. I was lucky enough to do it last summer with fantastic weather. The video of our trip is on my page. Unfortunately I was very new to u-tube. So there is virtually no sound because I was unaware when I'll made a video that's all the music would be removed boy UA-cam because of copyright. Take a look if you have time. Love your channel keep up the good work. adrian.
Enjoyed this installment of your adventure.. however, there is a large''welcome to John o groats'' sign as you come in from the eastern side..i have a few shots of !myself on my triple black Gs
Dear TMF, loving your videos, and especially this ride in the far North - brings back many great memories. Next time you need to make the sea crossing to Orkney for beautiful countryside, great roads, excellent music and warm hospitality, not to mention better accommodation. Keep up the good work mate! Andy
Awesome vid again! I'm already quite late for this tip, but for your next day you should treat yourself by finishing the day and stay at the Macdonald Inchyra in Grangemouth and have one of their delicious steaks. One of the best medium rare that I've ever had! Thanks for sharing this trip with your subscribers and keep them coming!
Was staying up in Aboyne just north of Ballater couple of weeks ago, A939 past the Lecht Ski Centre is amazing. Unfortunately we did it in pissing rain.
Thanks for sharing. Beautiful views. Yeah, we're all different but for me if the temp gauge drops to 6° C and below I am shivering cold to the bone on any bike. Greetings.
Hi TMF excellent series when I was up there I was amazed at how remote it was. I went from Inverness to Lairg then up past loch shin and must have travelled 40 miles with not a house in sight did you think the same going from Ullapool.
Loved the videos mate, im doing this very trip starting on 18th June, gonna take 7-8 days. from Manchester, taking in Forest of Bowland, Lake district and Galloway Forest park on the way up, Northumberland and Kielder national parks on way back.... Also on a GS :) praying for nice weather and the death of all midges lol (i am camping!!)
Great set of videos touring Scotland, its greatly inspiring me to get out and travel further a field, it will have to wait until next year now as I'm paying a visit back to blighty for Christmas. Will you do a video on how you found the bike clothing your wore? Plus everything you took with you?
That route from JoG down to Dingwall is, to be fair, pretty grim and it only really gets a bit more scenic and interesting as you approach Brora, Golspie etc. If you really want to see the most northerly point of the Brittish Isles, you need to travel to Shetland and then get the inter-island ferry from the Shetland Mainland to Unst! There's a few good Indian restaurants in Lerwick, Shetland's capital, by the way! Nice videos.
Great final episode TMF. I was at Kielder Forest today and a guy pulled in on a brand new GS Adventure - we got chatting and one of the first things he said to me was, do you watch TMF! Lots of subscribers in the North East.
Hiya ...Many thanks for sharing the adventure tour with us all 👍 Really enjoyed the series .. Well done mateAlready looking forward to the next one .... Just wanted to add ... Only been riding a couple years... A mid life crisis thing!! Lol ... But you have been a big influence in encouraging me to enjoy my new found hobby 👌 ....
Does "England" invoice "Scotland" for this electricity? Or is the energy generated and supplied by commercial companies, some of which happen to have headquarters outside Scotland?
Hi great series. We are doing the same route next year. Can you tell me how you find the RST jacket your wearing, I am looking for a new jacket soon. Welcome your thoughts ?
Brilliant as always, TMF. Keep doing what you're doing what you're doing and thanks for sharing your thoughts with us for free. Contrary to what some here seem to think, nobody is "entitled" to comment anything on your videos. You could have turned off the commenting feature :). I know very well how much work that goes into taping, editing and sharing, and how little work that goes into a rude comment. Hater's gonna hate, just ignore them. The rest of us love your videos and easy-going commentary. In fact, I was getting all concerned when you uploaded this episode a week late.... poor me..!! :) LOL!
I was born and brought up in Wick and rode all the way up there last week, stayed overnight and back to Aberdeen next day. Funny watching you complain about the cold, that was a summer breeze for the locals 🤣
Great vlog - nice to see some of the homeland that I've not even visited yet (John O'Groats in particular). That attempt at a Scottish accent though, jesus man!?! :D
I would love to ride up there one day, the 1200GS is the type of bike I would use to do it, comfort, power, storage and many more things are just so good about them for touring. I would have thought Queen Elizabeth Castle of Mey Trust would have been the most northerly place?? (looking at maps) anyway thank you for taking us there..
Funnily enough I have been researching just that! Well I bought a map last week at least....not sure when I'll get to do it but hopefully later this year...
Scotland's roads, especially those in the western highlands, are a biker's paradise with scenery to match. Now I haven't seen the whole world, but the exception would be the A9, especially the average speed camera section, which surely must qualify as being THE most boring road within it!More good work, TMF.
Another great video TMF pity about the weather but that's Scotland for you 4 seasons in the same day at least you didn't have trouble with the local skinheads of the ant world namely the dreaded midges lol if I had known your route would have came out and met up with you the a9 cameras are a pain but been to many deaths over the years they had to do something about ..glad you enjoyed it apart from the accommodation did look grim lol role on next Friday for the next one ride safe mate
@6.05 "Crikey, I Do Love Windsor" priceless comment, lol, actually Henley's not too bad either! With your exprience of other bikes(especially in recent times), is there any bike you'd rather have completed this trip on? I think I'd struggle to name one which would be more comfortable or with more general all-round ability! Cheers tony
You know the answer Tony - no! The GS really excelled on this trip, it is a brilliant touring machine (providing you're on-road.....too big and heavy for off road in my opinion - although I know many who disagree!)....
the traditional enjoying a twisty road then at the last second ..... oh god red light, the love putting temporary lights out in the middle of no where up here
loved hearing how many layers you were wearing to keep warm Mr Flyer Sir. What do you wear on your bottom half? Heated hunting socks? I'd be worried about frost bite! Keep up the excellent vids. Mark from Oz.
OK watched the whole series, subscribed, and I have a question I've not seen in the comments...what about critters? The whole time I'm cringing thinking one deer or moose jumping out and vacation over...GS'd all over Labrador/NS/Newfoundland (kinda Scotland) and large animals a definite concern (especially Moose in Newfoundland) none up there? killed them all? Great videos, well produced, very entertaining and soothing - thank you.
Hi there Flyer, can you tell me if you are still getting on well with the Sena 20s. I have the schuberth Src system and its crap to put it blunt.. Thanks mate Paul
Thank you my friend, ill look into it.. Ive got the Nav 6 and its good. A lot brighter screen as will.. you can flick through track of the control wheel tho..
Outstanding again mate. Scotland isn't good if you're looking for local amenities unfortunately, it's economy is just not set up that way. This is changing though. There's shite hotels and B&B's the world over as I can attest to. The road back down has never been my favourite if I'm honest but it relatively less stressful than the road(s) onthe west coast. A tip - next time you do this, do this... After leaving Ullapool (heading North) go through Ardmair (highlighted by yourself in the relevant video) and you'll come to a turn-off with Achiltibuie to the left. Take that road. Visit Achiltibuie and then turn around and back-track a few miles and you'll find a road to the left (North) that'll take you on to Lochinver. Book a room here. This road - on a good day - is exceptionally scenic. You'll pass under the foot of Stac Pollaidh and see Suilven looming over Lochinver. Also, there's a chippy there. And a pub. Trust me.
Sounds good to me Gordon - thanks for the intel (on this occasion I sort of had to stick to this route of course as I wanted to complete the NC500...next time I'll have no such shackles!).....
Your expectations of hotel rooms are a much higher standard than mine haha I thought they looked okay! What's that extension on your windshield called?
Hi Mate its Rob here we spoke about the 1200 Rallye, How do you find the MRA screen compared to the std screen on the GS I bought the tinted std one as well but to be honest it isnt that good ?? Great vlog by the way watched with great interest as plan to do it later on in the year Rob
When you can afford to be picky, which brands of fuel would you recommend when driving around in the UK, TMF? I personally try to stick to higher grades of fuel, since I like how it noticeably makes the engine run smoother. I happily pay something extra for quality.
Thanks for the reply. When I was a child, my dad always went to ESSO Express stations because of the lower price tag. But I have noticed that with Total Excellium for example, I get better MPG, the engine noise is lower, and it generally feels "smoother". I never looked back since. (I have no affiliation with Total, it's just something I couldn't help but notice here in Belgium.)
Old distillery house at Glenlivet, not seen on the clip but if you went to Glenlivet you must of ridden past. This time of year I see dozens of GSs every day which must say something about the bike. Enjoying your output btw all the best
Great adventure vlog. Love this stuff. Do more of these please!
Will do Collyne...stay tuned!

Great series, now on the bucket list of must do rides. Thanks TMF.

Thank you so much for making these vlogs as a motorcycle fan with a massive soft spot for the GS this is the only chance I will get to experience riding one.

Terrific Vlog!! Thoroughly enjoyed the pace of it. Great insight and honest opinion. Fantastic appreciation for surroundings. I was truly riding right alongside you . . . . "Keep on doin it!"
Thank you Gary - will do!

As ever you are very welcome Scott - one more to come next Friday.....then on to the next trip ASAP
Thoroughly enjoyed these vids. I imagine there's nothing like exploring Scotland on a motorcycle...especially one as nice as yours. Thank you very much! Don’t forget to check out my Western isles tour and the current one to the arctic circle....
Watching this stuff makes me want to get a GS and tour Australia. Love seeing where my heritage comes from.
Go for it!
Brilliant episode again TMF, lovely moody picture of GS with sign in backgroud.
WOW!!! no warning as such to the dreaded traffic light, and the best bit of road in this episode the A939 without doubt.
Thanks Dadworld...and yes, that traffic light was a bit of a surprise!
Thanks.
+gmcphoto Wow Florida to Zion, now that sounds like a long trip! I imagine you'll have a better temperature though! Enjoy and thanks for watching...
Another great video. Enjoyed the commentary and of course the humour. Keep it coming!!!
Thank you sir - glad you liked it....all the best - TMF
Loving this series! Looking forward to the next installment as it's the next best thing to being there.
Thank you :0)
Beautiful scenery you guys ride a lot in the rain. First time I was caught in the rain I freaked out.
Sorry to hear that....
A fantastic, informative and entertaining video. Again very well done.
Thank you Bob!
Enjoying watching you do this trip, going back up to do it in September.
Have fun Peter...
Nice one (again :-)) TMF, Scotland looks like a great ride. Four seasons in one day too! Keep up the great work, thanks for sharing your journey with us all. Most appreciated, as always.
Thank you Marc...my pleasure!
I'm thoroughly enjoying this touring series, it's quite inspirational that you are doing this solo - All the best.
Really? ...am I that unusual then doing this on my own?
TheMissendenFlyer I wouldn't say so, but as I usually ride with a pillion, it's inspired me to do some touring solo (which I've actually done this week over in Devon).
Another great video TMF - a cup of tea and a quiet half hour watching before the kids get home and all hell breaks loose
I know the feeling Tucker, now I'm a house husband all domestic duties fall to me, oh for a half an hour with the feet up...
Thks for sharing the trip.Would love to be able to do that trip some day.
Why not go for it - no special skills required!
Great videos as normal TMF. Driven and ridden much of the route you took. Road to Applecross is difficult to ride but as someone has already said nowhere near as bad as Hardknott Pass. +Alan McQuaker Thanks Alan, one more episode to go, stay tuned!
... to use your own words - awesome - corking - incredible ... loving the ride - thanks TMF
Thank you for watching Deadly and good to hear from you again!
Dunnet Head is most northerly point in UK mainland, John o Groats most north easterly point and furthest point on UK mainland from Lands End
Awesome videos, makes me want to plan another big tour myself!
+Anthony Baillie Yes it is fab up there, looking forward to getting away again ASAP...
another great video , brings back great memories of my trip ,
Thanks Kate....
The gravely hairpin you were talking about I used to take a fuel tanker up that road To wick airport.
Just finished watching your tour, northcoast 500. Another great film can't wait to see the rest of your Arctic Circle one. I was lucky enough to do it last summer with fantastic weather. Nice vid.... I think you have the same gearbox and my Massey Ferguson 35X.. :)
Cheeky!
2nd that opinion m8 does sound pretty clunky throughout the vlog unfortunately
A939 is my "quick blast" route, right on my doorstep. Looking forward to the next video 👍🏼
Lucky man scz scoob!
Enjoyed this installment of your adventure.. however, there is a large''welcome to John o groats'' sign as you come in from the eastern side..i have a few shots of !myself on my triple black Gs

Waw that Spartacus guy was a bit Spartacus, lol. Anyway another great vid, can't wait for the next episode. Ride safe.
Cheers Wyn, great to have you along on these as ever - one more episode to go (and then I need to get on my next trip ASAP!)...
TheMissendenFlyer great to hear, hope you can do something down in South Wales sometime, would be good to meet up.
Nice trip. The food at your first stop had me searching for something similar!
:0)
Dear TMF, loving your videos, and especially this ride in the far North - brings back many great memories. Next time you need to make the sea crossing to Orkney for beautiful countryside, great roads, excellent music and warm hospitality, not to mention better accommodation. Keep up the good work mate! Andy
Sounds good to me Andy....next time!
+Nuno Tenente Next time Nuno!!
Was staying up in Aboyne just north of Ballater couple of weeks ago, A939 past the Lecht Ski Centre is amazing. Unfortunately we did it in pissing rain.
+Marc Elvin What a shame - glorious biking road though eh? Worth a trip back....
TheMissendenFlyer absolutely. Got some footage on camera but rain spoils it. Doing the 500 later in august and head up the east so will do it then.
Thanks for sharing. Beautiful views. Yeah, we're all different but for me if the temp gauge drops to 6° C and below I am shivering cold to the bone on any bike. Greetings.
+Jacob Botha yeah below 6 and it starts to get uncomfortable doesn't it.....
Great video still amazed at the scenery
Yep, me too.....
Hi TMF excellent series when I was up there I was amazed at how remote it was. I went from Inverness to Lairg then up past loch shin and must have travelled 40 miles with not a house in sight did you think the same going from Ullapool.
Very much so.....loved it too....
Love these road trips and yours TMF is no exception ;-)
Ride Safe Baza
Thank you Baza
Thanks for another great Video, I enjoyed the ride.
+Bob Fisher Thank you Bob, all the best - TMF
Another great video. I never realised how flat it is on the far north coast. Looks like easier riding though.
Yep, sure was (on both counts)....
Sounds like you're packing an awful lot in!! Enjoy......
Great set of videos touring Scotland, its greatly inspiring me to get out and travel further a field, it will have to wait until next year now as I'm paying a visit back to blighty for Christmas. Will you do a video on how you found the bike clothing your wore? Plus everything you took with you?
Thanks for the kind comments Oz - I've already reviewed the RST Adventure kit here >> ua-cam.com/video/tD-FdeICTJI/v-deo.html
on the brink of doing the NW 500 1 more video will convince me. Keep them coming. Thanks for the entertainment
Next Friday you'll be convinced then :0) ...thoroughly recommended...
That hotel would get 4 stars here in nz...LOL...Thanks for another great vlog..
Ooh crikey....don't like the sound of that much! ...and thanks for watching - TMF
Would i be wrong in saying that at the end of the B855, at RSPB Dunnet Head, is the most northern point ?
I don't think so....many others have said similar ;0)
It's the same as Land's End and the Lizard. If you're box ticking, go to both.
TheAegisClaw, lands end most Westerly the Lizard most southern
Hahaha that place looked five star up the side of some of the places ive stayed, all part of the journey, loving the trip, the beamers purrs along nicely
+james goodwin Glad you’re enjoying it James, thanks for watching - TMF
That route from JoG down to Dingwall is, to be fair, pretty grim and it only really gets a bit more scenic and interesting as you approach Brora, Golspie etc. If you really want to see the most northerly point of the Brittish Isles, you need to travel to Shetland and then get the inter-island ferry from the Shetland Mainland to Unst! There's a few good Indian restaurants in Lerwick, Shetland's capital, by the way! Nice videos.
Now that sounds like an adventure!
Just so you know, JOG isnt the most Northerly point Dunnet Head lighthouse is!
Great final episode TMF.
I was at Kielder Forest today and a guy pulled in on a brand new GS Adventure - we got chatting and one of the first things he said to me was, do you watch TMF! Lots of subscribers in the North East.
+G Conomics One more episode to come G! ...and good to hear :0)
You should have ridden the bike right up to the sign at John o'grotes :-). I miss my GS!
+Troppo Didn't fancy man handling the weight of it up there and risk dropping it in front of loads of fellow tourists....but I take your point!
I made the mistake of wandering over to the sign at Lands End....oh dear, the photo man wasn't happy....tosser...
Really!?
Yes mate - you were right avoiding it.....
...crikey...
MF brilliant set of videos, really enjoyed them. Thank you for all your hard work, most appreciated!
You're welcome Henry, keep on "splashing it all over"...... :0) ...sure you've not heard that before....
Actually First time!.......Well first time this week.
+Henry Cooper Sorry :0)
Hiya ...Many thanks for sharing the adventure tour with us all 👍 Really enjoyed the series .. Well done mateAlready looking forward to the next one .... Just wanted to add ... Only been riding a couple years... A mid life crisis thing!! Lol ... But you have been a big influence in encouraging me to enjoy my new found hobby 👌 ....
Brilliant, thanks for that Mark, great stuff....
brilliant video as always I went last year and it rained non stop ended up cutting it short
What a shame, any plans to return?
Will be going up again in August
Nice one :0)
Been to Dingwall, as you say not much there you would have had a better choice of Hotels etc in Inverness. Great set of films :)
You live and learn Bob eh? Thanks for watching and for stopping by - TMF.....
I really want to do this trip on my Sprint1050. We have family in Inverness so I would start and finish there after riding up from Lancashire.
Great to see your vlogs on this, looking forward to doing the same in a couple of weeks. Keep them coming 😁
+Lady Hepcat. You'll have a great time, I hope the weather is kind to you!
The wind turbines generate electricity which is sent to England, and us Scots buy off England. On a lighter note, These vids are wonderful
Doesn't make sense does it!
Love it, my second one of these from RST - check out my review (do a search and you should find it)....
How does your GoPro case stay waterproof with the mic wire sticking out of the side? 3:18
Brilliant as always, TMF. Keep doing what you're doing what you're doing and thanks for sharing your thoughts with us for free. Contrary to what some here seem to think, nobody is "entitled" to comment anything on your videos. You could have turned off the commenting feature :). Eh, a week late? I think not????
Oh and thanks for the kind words! Appreciated...
Sorry TMF, my mistake. Just now realized I missed episode 4 last week... It wasn't you being a week late, it was me looking for ep 5 a week early! :D
Just loving these
Another enjoyable video as always. keep up the good work tmf
+jamesf893 Thank you.
I was born and brought up in Wick and rode all the way up there last week, stayed overnight and back to Aberdeen next day. Funny watching you complain about the cold, that was a summer breeze for the locals 🤣
I guess it's all about what you're used too....
Great vlog - nice to see some of the homeland that I've not even visited yet (John O'Groats in particular). That attempt at a Scottish accent though, jesus man!?! :D
+YarekBalear Och aye, you dinna like it laddie?
Thanks for another great video! It's a real inspiration for my 2021 trip to Scotland and England. Which windshield/windscreen is that?
MRA Varioscreen
I would love to ride up there one day, the 1200GS is the type of bike I would use to do it, comfort, power, storage and many more things are just so good about them for touring. I would have thought Queen Elizabeth Castle of Mey Trust would have been the most northerly place?? (looking at maps) anyway thank you for taking us there..
Yes the ol' "Most Northerly spot" comment has certainly stirred up some debate!
did you stop at that castle on the way to the "most Northerly Spot" ? looks untouched and in perfect condition from pictures Ive seen
Any plans to do a Ireland trip? I'm hoping to go very soon.
Funnily enough I have been researching just that! Well I bought a map last week at least....not sure when I'll get to do it but hopefully later this year...
TheMissendenFlyer £59 each way Fishguard-rosslare for bike and rider! 3 1/2 hr crossing. Job done.
Sounds good to me!
Hey, awesome series, what jacket are you wearing?
That's my old RST Adventure 2....great value jacket but not waterproof like say my current Rukka gear (which also costs about 5 times as much!)
Scotland's roads, especially those in the western highlands, are a biker's paradise with scenery to match. the rolls royce engines were named after the rivers - not the other way round! :)
+Alf Harris Really! :0)
@6.05 "Crikey, I Do Love Windsor" priceless comment, lol, actually Henley's not too bad either!
With your exprience of other bikes(especially in recent times), is there any bike you'd rather have completed this trip on? I think I'd struggle to
name one which would be more comfortable or with more general all-round ability!
Cheers
tony
You know the answer Tony - no! The GS really excelled on this trip, it is a brilliant touring machine (providing you're on-road.....too big and heavy for off road in my opinion - although I know many who disagree!)....
Lands end is a tip! Amazingly the planners allowed it to become an amusement arcade. At least jogs is a real place.
+Wight walker 245 Yes a real disappointment down there....
the traditional enjoying a twisty road then at the last second ..... oh god red light, the love putting temporary lights out in the middle of no where up here
Yes almost caught me out that one!
Nice ride. Might want to get an electric vest.
Yes, flippin' good idea!! Next time.....
loved hearing how many layers you were wearing to keep warm Mr Flyer Sir. What do you wear on your bottom half? Heated hunting socks? I'd be worried about frost bite! Keep up the excellent vids. Mark from Oz.
Cheers Mark - don't tell me, you have lovely weather all year round????
I live in South Australia, we enjoy a very Mediterranean climate. I was genuinely curious as to how you keep your feet warm?
OK watched the whole series, subscribed, and I have a question I've not seen in the comments...what about critters? The whole time I'm cringing thinking one deer or moose jumping out and vacation over...GS'd all over Labrador/NS/Newfoundland (kinda Scotland) and large animals a definite concern (especially Moose in Newfoundland) none up there? killed them all?
Great videos, well produced, very entertaining and soothing - thank you.
Thanks for the kind comments - one more to come in this series and no animals were killed during it's production (I'm glad to say!) ;0)
Planning this trip for May, how did the vario panniers stand up to the weather, did they stay dry?
Yes no issues! Fingers crossed we can ride again by May!
Oh please yes, we’ve got to plan and be positive. A better year ahead I hope🤞
actually JOG is the furthest away from Lands End but the farthest northerly point in mainland UK is Dunnet Head only a very few miles west of JOG
+toorest trikie You're not the first to mention that TT - in fact I think I did during the video! ;0) Thanks for watching as ever - TMF
Hi there Flyer, can you tell me if you are still getting on well with the Sena 20s. I have the schuberth Src system and its crap to put it blunt..
Thanks mate Paul
Yeah, it's great, loving it....fully recommended....
Thank you my friend, ill look into it.. Ive got the Nav 6 and its good. A lot brighter screen as will.. you can flick through track of the control wheel tho..
Did you ride the motorway from the south of England to your starting point in Scotland or try and stay on smaller roads as much as possible?
Motorway....
"I'm not expecting great things here". Expect the Wicca Man !!
Your expectations of hotel rooms are a much higher standard than mine haha I thought they looked okay!
What's that extension on your windshield called?
...you didn't smell that one in Dingwall! It's an MRA Varioscreen - if you do a search you will find my review(s) - cheers - TMF
Cheers!
Hi Mate its Rob here we spoke about the 1200 Rallye, How do you find the MRA screen compared to the std screen on the GS I bought the tinted std one as well but to be honest it isnt that good ??
Great vlog by the way watched with great interest as plan to do it later on in the year
Rob
Cheers Rob - yes the MRA is a winner on the GS - I am a huge fan of it...
top notch again, keep it up buddy.
Look forward to the next instalment TMF 👍🏻 keep it up...
Ps. When is your vstrom review going up ?
Currently scheduled for Saturday August the 19th would you believe! ...and yes, I do have a schedule!!
TheMissendenFlyer looking forward to it.
When you can afford to be picky, which brands of fuel would you recommend when driving around in the UK, TMF?
I personally try to stick to higher grades of fuel, since I like how it noticeably makes the engine run smoother. I happily pay something extra for quality.
I'm the opposite! I can tell no difference between cheap supermarket stuff versus the fancy branded stuff...
Thanks for posting. Love it as usual. Just one more question...When will you all learn to drive on the right side of the road?
Don't start that again!
You need a keis heated vest best thing I've used
Yes I'll definitely look into one of those for next season...
TheMissendenFlyer , I've just my iam test and rode all winter my best piece of clothing
Would've loved to have done that trip in that silver 911!
Nah, 2 wheels is the way to go....
You seem to have alienated most of the Scottish towns on your travels 😀 Good vlogs though, enjoyed them
Really? Oops....sorry....
Did you see any Haggis? *You have to watch them you know, as they are quick and fly at low level across the road surface in front of you! :-O
Nope, nor a single bagpipe or tartan....
The River Merlin and Olympus must be up there somewhere.....
+The Big Wing Exactly! :0)
You rode past my house !
Brilliant - roughly where are you???
Old distillery house at Glenlivet, not seen on the clip but if you went to Glenlivet you must of ridden past. This time of year I see dozens of GSs every day which must say something about the bike. Enjoying your output btw all the best
Thank you Andy....all the best - TMF
TheMissendenFlyer Buu
And mine
Serious question how many sad cards did u use on this journey
I’m not sure I follow?
It must be Friday! Thanks TMF.
You got it!
