Dylan attends his dad's funeral and the gang's all there to support him. #BeverlyHills90210 | Now streaming on Paramount+ Where to watch: para.mt/90210
@@kristinazubic9669 I don’t think so tbh - fighting aggressions and alcoholism, graduating Highschool, being with him in the hospital after his surfing accident .. even here talking to him in his grief .. it was always Brenda
I really wished that Brenda didn’t forgive Kelly. She could have paused her anger on Dylan because of his father’s death, but once the dust settles she should have kept her distance. Brenda was the one with grace never Kelly.
Anger destroys the vessel that contains it. Forgiving means not endorsing the behavior but deciding to move on and make peace with it, whether you’re able to continue a relationship with that person or not.
both Brenda and Brandon, all Walshes in general were caring, in contrast to Beverly Hills spoiled people, that was intentional, and that was the premise of the show.
@@RBS_ Well, Shannen was causing problems on the set, and had diva-like behavior, and she herself confirmed it recently on her podcast so... not everything was exaggerated. So you are spreading lies. She was unprofessional, and she admitted to it, that's why she was fired. If it wasn't the truth, they wouldn't fire her since yes, she was essential for the show. But they did because she went too far.

I like this scene between Dylan and Brenda. It is interesting for several reasons. Firstly because it demonstrates Brenda's mental strength, and her generosity: putting aside your bitterness and resentment to be present for the one who made you suffer is something difficult to do. Then, it's funny to see that Dylan, who has just chosen Kelly, and who has just lost his father, is worried about knowing if Brenda has already forgotten him. It reveals a lot.
@@tricia1114 In season 4 the episode where Steve and Brenda have a violent argument, we see a side of Steve that we have never seen before, in Steve's eyes we see a real hatred towards Brenda, and I think that this Hatred could have turned into real loving passion later, if there would have been other conflicts between them in other episodes.
I think Brenda was the motherly figure Dylan never had growing up. Kelly was the blonde that puts out (every dudes dream). He truly loved Brenda, and Kelly was just a play toy. Brenda was Dylan‘s true soulmate.

Given the circumstances, Brenda definitely has the right attitude. Comfort Dylan, let Kelly know she's welcome home. Civilized, dignified and elegant attitude.

Good for Donna! So glad she put Kelly and David in their place, David I could understand since he was awkward around Dylan and they weren’t really friends at this point but he still gave him good advice, but Kelly? She’s the side piece who should be supporting him, but instead, as ever she thinks only of herself
Dylan such a jerk! I know he's going thru something terrible but wanting to see Brenda's room with all his stuff and to confirm if she is still into him?? Crappy! 😠
As it turned out his father didn't die we find out later, but unfortunately because of circumstances Dylan couldn't end up having a relationship with his father due to safety concerns over him being a target still.

@sailorsister211 I think it's not worth it trying to explain this kind of scenes particularly when the person doesn't like the character so will likely not want to give them any dues for things they would be trying to do. Both Kelly and Brenda at points during the lead up to Jack's funeral were trying in their own ways to understand and support Dylan. Kelly was way off the mark but it was likely due to her own troubling childhood and even despite her knowing Dylan longer, she didn't really know or understand Dylan as a person (well at that time). While Brenda may have been coming off the back off an on and off, sometimes problematic relationship, her and Dylan still had that connection of having been really close and entwined in each others lives with getting to know one another on such a personal level which is why it would be understandable why it was more harder for Brenda to let go or even Dylan being sad and upset that Brenda was letting him go because of the trauma of his dad's 'death'. It can be perceive that Dylan at the end of show had a close connection with Kelly had they had build it up more so by then but at this stage of the show, they had barely started their proper relationship and was still getting use to being together out in the open with everyone knowing. Now I actually don't care or have ever care about Dylan and his suppose connection and 'soulmate' bond with Kelly as it never ran true to me because of their lack of chemistry in my eyes but they did write the differences between Brenda and Kelly in this situation correctly concerning how ti would be for Dylan in need of support and care from Brenda and Kelly. Sorry for the long comment! 😮
Brenda was too much for Dylan. Brenda never gave him a pass when it came to drinking, cutting class, pushing off college applications, and other responsibilities. Kelly just went along for the ride. It was simpler for Dylan to be with Kelly.
I agree Kelly was 100% an a-hole. David…I mean that is a little different. Kelly was straight up throwing a tantrum because *she* didn’t want to be uncomfortable for one day. David was risking a music contract for someone who he isn’t even really friends with and who probably wouldn’t even notice if he was there or not.

Forgiveness is better for the person doing the forgiving.
ugh the chemistry between Brenda and Dylan is unmatched! Brenda was always there for Dylan even after what he and Kelly did to her
Dylan asking if he had to wear that tie broke my heart. Brenda was such a good and supportive friend to Dylan. Pretty much unconditionally.
Brenda was the most sincere character on the show. Also most caring one in general.

Because they are both selfish with Kelly’s eating disorder and David’s music schedule

Brenda was the better person. Kelly was a mess
For me Steve and Brenda should have been together, they were the most protective
