Phil was one of the most in-demand studio guitarists, long before the whole youtube thing. He has played for about everybody in the studio, from Avril Lavigne to Rob Zombie. He has credits as a studio guitarist on over 30 albums.
What a performer! The whole cover of let me stand is amazing , the guitar over the shoulder and back is one of the most difficult tricks you can try and he pulls it off like he's just so comfortable, not a single worry or misstep. He never misses a beat or plays a bad note and sings his ass off. I admire his ability very much. Rock on Phil and the drills!
This is the definition of a perfectly executed and brilliantly original live performance. A classic tune played very well by amazingly talented musicians. This is easily one of my favourite videos ever!
Seen him with Bon Jovi Feb '17 - S. Carolina to K-O the THNFS American Tour and how surprised was I ? I actually expected Sambora. I lost track of BJ other than commerical country sound bites but I was pleasantly surprised and ultimately became a fan. Phil explodes with an energy and a commanding presence taking ownership of Sambora's rhythm's and lead with ease. Any decent guitarist always wants to reference his own style in a performance but Phil was classy enough to play Sambora's leads to verbatim making you feel as though Ritchie was there. His performance is as good as I have seen- Save EVH pre-hip surgery. Nevertheless, Phil-X is a great performer with a Joe Cool manic personality and worth the ticket. JBJ made a great choice in him and is fortunate to have Phil on the road. Hope to see you again soon. Cheers!
When you look up "Rock N Roll" in the dictionary there should be a photo or video of Phil X. He is the complete package for sure! I can't think of one person who is more rock n roll then he is, not even half as much so.
Crazy exciting performance! I just heard of Phil X about a week ago. Then I saw this vid. Just a whacked out crazy good guitarist, singer, and performer. Haven't seen somebody with his much energy and the talent to go with it in a lot time. Go, Phil X!
It's Phil being amazing as usual, with two guys who volunteered to come along to Messe for the jam. Gjergj on bass was from Albania and Gustavo on drums flew in from Portugal. ya know try and be a nice guy..keep the peace but some people just don't get it.. I don't know what I'm talking about.. yeah I do.. that's a reflection of yourself..and how you take things.. everything I said made perfect sense to somebody who understands basic English.. your'e on here like some rookie YTuber back and forth.. I encourage artists..I teach..I give back we all talk about ourselves..promote called being confident..getting yourself out there isn't that what we all do..isn't that why you make the vids you do..to promote who? the guy ass fucking you pousti maybe it is true that rumbling about you I keep hearing..could it be..true.. ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm on something...? so in closing time for me to get back to earth I think its time we talk about you.. have a seat in this comfy chair.. my advice its time to change your name to ::drum roll:: if you played you'd know what that is.. BITTER X sound very bitter.. and if I say FUCK YOU to somebody I have the balls to say it to their face I tried to be a nice guy and the mighty Phil can't take it.. sound like a rookie.. so ummmmm aahhhhhhh in your vids ya looked fucked up so is it true? what they say about you? sounds and looks like it.. using iphones now? come on rookie..I can make that same sound with a MXR Carbon Copy..ya know real Guitar gear by real Musicians who write their own songs and not live off others.. now I hope we do run into each other BITTER X..The Moocher Player what songs do ya have where are they covers covers.. like a parasite feeding off others The Real Artists..who made it with their own Music.. have a good life.. and I mean that.. and I hope we do run into each other me and the boys will be down there very soon we could use a good roadie BITTER X I like it..!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you can use it.. you need an image change ummm ahhhhhh you may be a better Guitarist than me for now..BUT I am a far better Musician.. you shall see..
I agree with ya..I'm just quoting what he said nothing wrong with doing covers.. that's not what EVH is really known for.. his bread and butter and why some of us dig VH.. to me a true artist is one who creates his own brand and not just copies others and yeah sure take a bit from other tunes that's cool we still do covers.. we can go on and on.. Metallica started as a Diamond Head cover really..Pantera..did..VH Priest other covers BUT..eventually wrote their own stuff and created their own style and brand that's why we love them.. you don't get recording contracts doing covers or being a tribute Band if you can't write good originals then fine.. make a good living being a session guy or tribute Band.. but eventually ya fade away and never really leave your mark....in my opinion at least you replied with class and a very valid point which I agree with I'm getting dumped on for what Eddie said.. now that's funny Bitter X as I call him now..since he was such a dick in replying after I payed him a compliment known him for years I was not talking about this show at all.. his response..and I quote... "Fuck Off" his reply..real class tough guy..think he mistook me for one of these guys who you mouth off and it will just go away I seriously thought it was some 15 yr old dude or somebody pretending to be him that's how ridiculous he sounded kept going on and on about nonsense still amusing to me the way he responded I had to block him that's how annoying he was we'll see how tough he is face to face as we are heading to LA on a deal..if he's around gonna talk to me like that?..do it face to face keyboard warrior types.. what we can't disagree with the mighty Bitter X everything he does is amazing..why he craps gold..come on..he's so great we all have a right to an opinion if that's his way of dealing with people who don't agree with him then ok.. show some class be a pro..like you did talk reasonable instead of all this bad mouthing and F that and A hole this thought he had more class and with all his experience be comfortable enough to handle a quote from his boy Eddie.. I never said it Eddie did.. I let him have it back..tried to keep the peace Yo welcome to planet Earth..I said.. it was in a Guitar Mag..I picked up about 2 years ago.. and to me..that was a great quote pretty much said it all.. so I guess he's telling EVH to F Off too..? seriously doubt he would do that quite a strange dude Bitter X.. his real side not the phony one you see here trust me on that Phony Phil..or Bitter X.. either one will do.. Thanks for YOUR well written and great response..much more class.. RnR Niki B Real
Phil X is one of the most entertaining players ever, its all about the rock and roll!
There is more to rock n roll than being a grown man pretending to be 12 years old.
The only guitarist I can think of who’s ever told the drummer to speed up!
Yeah, thats the bassplayers task!
He says it even to 1 kg cocaine
Why isn't Phil X a household name? One of the best guitarists EVER!!!

I get it..I've done it too..and always will
I'm always protective of my Band mates..
no matter what or who's in the way
been doing it since the age of 6..
KISS started it all for me..
ask Jim..we used to sit and listen to KISS ALIVE 2..at his house..
we're first cousins..
with that..
Brother PhiI no disrespect intended
I wish ya the best
if we do run into each other on the strip..

ya know try and be a nice guy..keep the peace but some people just don't get it..
I don't know what I'm talking about..
yeah I do..
that's a reflection of yourself..and how you take things..
everything I said made perfect sense to somebody who understands basic English..
your'e on here like some rookie YTuber
back and forth..
I encourage artists..I teach..I give back
we all talk about ourselves..promote
called being confident..getting yourself out there
isn't that what we all do..isn't that why you make the vids you do..to promote who?
the guy ass fucking you pousti
maybe it is true that rumbling about you I keep hearing..could it be..true..
ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
on something...?
so in closing time for me to get back to earth
I think its time we talk about you..
have a seat in this comfy chair..
my advice its time to change your name to
::drum roll:: if you played you'd know what that is..
BITTER X
sound very bitter..
and if I say FUCK YOU to somebody I have the balls to say it to their face
I tried to be a nice guy and the mighty Phil
can't take it..
sound like a rookie..
so ummmmm aahhhhhhh
in your vids ya looked fucked up
so is it true? what they say about you?
sounds and looks like it..
using iphones now?
come on rookie..I can make that same sound with a MXR Carbon Copy..ya know real Guitar gear
by real Musicians
who write their own songs and not live off others..
now I hope we do run into each other
BITTER X..The Moocher Player
what songs do ya have
where are they
covers covers..
like a parasite feeding off others
The Real Artists..who made it with their own
Music..
have a good life..
and I mean that..
and I hope we do run into each other
me and the boys will be down there very soon
we could use a good roadie
BITTER X
I like it..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you can use it..
you need an image change
ummm ahhhhhh
you may be a better Guitarist than me
for now..BUT
I am a far better Musician..
you shall see..
Ice Cream Man, You Really Got Me, Pretty Woman, You're No Good, Won't Get Fooled Again... Just sayin'
I agree with ya..I'm just quoting what he said
nothing wrong with doing covers..
that's not what EVH is really known for..
his bread and butter and why some of us dig
VH..
to me a true artist is one who creates his own brand and not just copies others
and yeah sure take a bit from other tunes
that's cool
we still do covers..
we can go on and on..
Metallica started as a Diamond Head cover really..Pantera..did..VH Priest other covers
BUT..eventually wrote their own stuff
and created their own style and brand
that's why we love them..
you don't get recording contracts doing covers or being a tribute Band
if you can't write good originals then fine..
make a good living being a session guy or tribute Band..
but eventually ya fade away and never really leave your mark....in my opinion
at least you replied with class and a very valid point which I agree with
I'm getting dumped on for what Eddie said..
now that's funny
Bitter X as I call him now..since he was such a dick in replying after I payed him a compliment
known him for years
I was not talking about this show at all..
his response..and I quote...
"Fuck Off"
his reply..real class tough guy..think he mistook me for one of these guys who you mouth off and it will just go away
I seriously thought it was some 15 yr old dude
or somebody pretending to be him
that's how ridiculous he sounded
kept going on and on about nonsense
still amusing to me the way he responded
I had to block him that's how annoying he was
we'll see how tough he is face to face as we are heading to LA on a deal..if he's around
gonna talk to me like that?..do it face to face
keyboard warrior types..
what we can't disagree with the mighty Bitter X
everything he does is amazing..why he craps gold..come on..he's so great
we all have a right to an opinion
if that's his way of dealing with people who
don't agree with him then ok..
show some class be a pro..like you did
talk reasonable instead of all this bad mouthing and F that and A hole this
thought he had more class and with all his experience be comfortable enough to handle a quote from his boy Eddie..
I never said it Eddie did..
I let him have it back..tried to keep the peace
Yo welcome to planet Earth..I said..
it was in a Guitar Mag..I picked up about 2 years ago..
and to me..that was a great quote
pretty much said it all..
so I guess he's telling EVH to F Off too..?
seriously doubt he would do that
quite a strange dude Bitter X..
his real side not the phony one you see here
trust me on that
Phony Phil..or Bitter X..
either one will do..
Thanks for YOUR well written and great response..much more class..
