  • Welcome to the Dry Brook & Esopus Valley railroad! This is a new, fictional route we'll be working on. In this episode we work in the downtown area around the interchange and experiment with a new technique for building roads and parking lots.
    Apologies if the underscore is a little loud, there was no shortage of technical issues with this one.

    oh my lord! as soon as I saw him fly over to the abandoned crossing signals I knew exactly what he was going to do, I knew he was going to give them a shoutout cause he said it on his discord, but it was so obvious it was the abandoned crossing signals! why didn't I see it coming!?

    an idea for the abandoned segment of track: make the track twist around a little and the track go up and down, because PC's track usually was very bad and siting without maintenance for 30 some years would displace it a lot.

    Great video! Brilliant idea with the roads. I think I will do the same thing whenever I think I should. Mainly in industrial areas and in certain parts of cities is where I think I will do that most. Loving this series so far!

    Man I'm so surprised that you don't build your own real life layout although I know they are very expensive to make I have HO Gage models and they are a bit expensive. But you could also join a model railroad club and build insanely amazing layouts.

    Ive always heard that the white line is the fog line, but great video man and i wouldnt be afraid to put down small trees we have a line near us that hasnt seen traffic in 7 or more years that has 5ft pines growing on them and the company as of last year (that the branch serviced) has paved over the spur. But just food for thought.

    I cant find those road lines anywhere on the DLS or on a search of the KUID online, can someone point me in the right direction?

  • @Mason9468.
    @Mason9468. 5 років тому

    For doing roads on an angle you could use a blank road spline with whatever lane marking splines you want just put on top. I’ve uploaded a couple onto the DLS you might be interested in; search YARNish L2 BL. It is a fully blank version without any markings, which could be what you’re looking for, although other versions are available with varying amounts of markings . Simply put them down and sink them into the ground a bit (since YARNish roads default a bit higher than I’d like) then put on whatever markings you would like. It would provide a clean edge for the road while still allowing you to do custom road markings.

    You have quite the eye for detail, which is why these routes come out looking so good! I have a question about traffic in Trainz. Is there a reason that some routes can't spawn cars, even though the region spawns cars on other routes without a problem?

    • @jaredg4519
      @jaredg4519 5 років тому

      Well this problem occurs even with supported roads. This issue comes up in Driver Mode.

    It may sound stupid but can you do a tutorial video on how to use the tools that are available to you in this game.? Obviously you have been working with it for some time, so I see you navigate trought the buttons really quickly.. It is a bit hard when you try to look what things you are pushing and see the effect straight after..
