I hope the multiplayer is kind of like Star Wars Battlefront 2 where there’s a few classes for normal Space Marines and then reinforcements that you can play as by accumulating points or some other way of playing as them. But for normal Space Marine Classes there could be an Intercessor/Assault Intercessor, a Heavy Intercessor, an Apothecary, a Chaplain, and an Eliminator/Suppressor or Infiltrator. And then for reinforcements you would have stuff like Terminators, Bladeguard Veterans, Sternguard Veterans, Dreadnaughts, and specialized stuff like that.
Despite wishing, Warhammer could have a game like Helldivers. But Helldivers could never be Warhammer, just look at it. The presences of the marine itself is so overwhelming alongside the iconic architecture.
Helldivers would be the Astra Militarum, the normal human foot soldiers of the empire. It's really a different vibe when the Marines enter the picture.

I like how vibrant the colors are, between the tech, banners, and lanterns. What’s colorful should be vibrantly so, and what’s greyscale should serve to enhance the more colorful elements. It seems like they’ve found the balance here. I’m happy to see they haven’t washed out the colors like other games have. The palette here lends depth to the game world.
@@theodorebear6714 I mean, it's the vibe, a world falling apart, swarms of enemies, bad ass executions, guns that make a bloody mess, scenes that slow the character down. Space marines taking cover wouldn't make sense to me. It's just a feeling.

Holy shit what a beauty. I hope they polish up the animations, and also do away with the big, slow, execution triggers. With something as visceral as 40K, I'd really like to see a more organic flow to the gameplay, with less hit-stop, and flashy enemy identification. Something more subtle, and less Gears of War/Doom Eternal. That being said, that walking animation is to die for- you really get the sense this guy is a hulking, walking, bulwark of painted pig-iron and muscle mass, that could curb stomp a t-rex without a hint of resistance. Fuckin a, can't wait to see this game finished.
This game gives an incredible atmosphere, love it. But I also would like that the Space Marine groups are bigger, that you fight with a big squad or army 👌
PC/CONSOLE would be clinging on to life trying to run that. Yeah I wish that too, as in the lore, a tryanid invasion is nothing but horrific. This game needs to make players feel that.

While I adore the look of Titus here, I really wish the sequel had been about say, the Deathwatch, instead of just more "Hey, let's see what the Ultramarines up are to." (Heck, you could have put Titus IN the Deathwatch for continuity). Because one of the neat aspects of the Astartes isn't simply them being living weapons built like brick walls, but the contrasts in philosophical beliefs, combat doctrines, and temperaments of the numerous chapters across the Imperium. Imagine a version of Space Marine where Titus is the Sergeant of a Deathwatch Kill-Team and acting at the behest of a Ordo Xenos Inquisitor. It would be a fantastic introduction to new players, giving them a glimpse into the Imperium's inquisition, and how Space Marine Chapters differ from one another. For example, to inform the player on just how stark the Astartes viewpoint is on the Imperium's citizenry, you could have a Iron Hands Techmarine, and a Salamanders' Apothecary with the two CONSTANTLY bickering over their philosophies with the Iron Hands despising weakness (and thus citizens are expendable fodder), and the Salamander who believes humanity must be protected at all costs.
Personally I like this game's idea, But I just wanted to say- You. I like how you think. Its nice going into the comments and seeing people posting their cool, Thought-out game ideas instead of whinging about wOkEnEsS or repeating the same exact mUh PrOnOuNs joke over and over again lol.
My only pedantic nitpicky gripe is that the bolter sounds a bit too soft. Doesn't necessarily have to be super-duper loud or anything, but it could have a bit more of a metallic clang as audible feedback.
I bought Space Marine for Xbox 360 back in the day. Tried to play it but didn't get in the game mechanics because back in the day I was succumbed to Gears of War and Army of Two cover/shoot/cover gameplay style. Years pass and I try to play Space Marine time to time, but I don't get far in the game and just let it gather dust... Until eight years later, weekend arrives and I tried yet again play Space Marine. But this time it was different, something just clicked.. I played the game through in two days and was having an ABSOLUTE blast with it! The gameplay is unique but not anyway bad. If they further extend and balance melee/gunplay in Space Marine 2, it is going to be instant GOTY for me.
Foaming at the mouth for this. If it has co-op PvE modes where you customise your Astartes I'll die happy. Terminator armour, phobos armour, chapters etc possibilities are endless
The animation whether being attacked or hitting an enemy, doesn't feel like it has real contact. The camera seems to hide it by creating a stagger effect. But the thing is, whether the enemy is big or small, there's always a need for a unique stagger for each of them. For example, hitting a bigger enemy would result in smaller stagger animation for the enemy, while the smaller enemy would have a bigger stagger animation. Having the true animation not just a shaking camera is important for realism.
Really love it, but one thing to have that would be awesome is an option in the settings to add helmets to the Astarties. The voice acting seems perfectly serviceable to let them have a bit of head protection against those bug cannons!
totaly agree. I watched in sheer awe as he was slowly walking towards his goal, the lighting the dark architecture and then the combat started and i was like... what the f?
The weight and power of the armor is felt in every movement of a Space Marine. It’s as if I feel the tons of kilograms, given by his super genetics in every blow, in every movement of the sword, arms, legs. Awesome feelings

Why is he calling out his reloads and shit like it's Ghost Recon? This looks like a game I've already played several times, only this time with 40k models.
To me, this looks like an incredibly fun game to play! I think the graphic improvement, there is more immersion because you fight along the imperial guard, thus you act like you are part of the battle, and I think the the combat looks good, sort of like your personal instincts manifested.

Happy they are wearing the Gears of War gameplay influence on their sleeve. Looks like an amazing game.

If they further extend and balance melee/gunplay in Space Marine 2, it is going to be instant GOTY for me.

TIL that space marines open doors like the chosen undead in Dark Souls.
Yeah the stagger effect on every swing bothers me
*HIS ANGELS.*
Nothing more needs to be said.
Really love it, but one thing to have that would be awesome is an option in the settings to add helmets to the Astarties. The voice acting seems perfectly serviceable to let them have a bit of head protection against those bug cannons!
