    The Moment Brutus hands off the Geneseed to Sekan.... you understand how much trust and faith he has in him.
    For a Apothicary of a chapter to entrust his chapters geneseed to another chapter is seen as a high taboo. To the point one would rather see it destroyed then be in this situation
    "I will get them Home" This one sentence carries more weight and conviction then most people could possibly believe. When a Son of Vulcan says he will do something... He will do it... or Die trying.
    Rest easy Brother Brutus, your Fight is Over... Sekan will see your brothers to safety.

      There are a lot of chapters that have the trust and faith of their cousins, the Salamanders being one of those chapters.
      Others, like the Minotaurs, Iron Hands, and Lamenters, are not so trusted. I imagine Brutus wouldn't hand his geneseed off to a Blood Raven quite so easily, for example. Maybe because the Blood Raven would gleefully nick them 😂

(Each Lamenter dying and losing the seeds, seeds being destroyed right as they’re extracting, or something even worse like any attempt at extraction fails for inexplicable reasons.)
      They have some of the strongest moral characters in the setting for what they go through, but they’re just beyond unlucky and every well-intentioned action they take their cousins find fault in.

      @jetpilledmyron2056 Місяць тому +135

      @@EC23331 my bad, I made a Typo, it was Progenoid
      Essentially, the Progenoid Glands (who's name has the word "Progenitor", akin to Father in this case) are two organs, one planted in the neck, one in the chest, that makes a Space Marine into a proper Space Marine of their chapter, and are pivotal for the survival and creation of other chapters.
      Essentially, these glands contains the genetic material of their Primarch and previous Battle-Brothers, and transmits all the tactical and even psychological make-up of the Legion; these glands are like a small archive that makes a Marine a true Astartes, as it is also used to make new Gene-Seed (the 20+ organs, or Zygotes as they are called, that makes a Space Marine into a true Space Marine).
      Without, a Space Marine chapter will be doomed to cease, and its history with it, same for the memory of its predecessors and Primarch.
      Now, the Progenoids are also one reason why the Gene-Seed is incompatible with women, as the genetic informations tailored to the organs are wired on male genetics, and due to these Organs (all of them) essentially acts in similar fashion to viruses, they will try to adapt the host to them, forcing it to change, but since the host at the point of gene-seed insertion will be formed, this will result in gruesome ends, and this also applies to candidates who ends up been incompatible, reason why the rate of success is so low (Primaris managed to make standards for candidates more easy to survive, but still we speak about a minuscle number of them).
      In a way, if you knows about Metal Gear Solid, amd knows about Liquid, the Space Marines are like the Genetic Soldiers of Shadow Moses: they are digital clones of their genetic fathers, who are themselves clones of a guy.
      So yes, the Imperium is Outer Heaven, the Emperor is Big Boss, the Primarchs are Solid, Solidus, Liquid and so on Snake, and the Space Marines are the Genetic Soldiers.

    1:08-1:14 I like this bit of detail there. Both of these Necron Warriors fade away after they are struck lethal blows, so one would assume that they simply teleported away. But if you look closely, you will notice that while the one hit by Sa'kan's bolter flickers away in a bright green light, the one bisected by Brutus' chainsword instead crumbles into a dark green dust. I read online somewhere that when Necrons are too damaged for even Teleportation back to a Resurrection Chamber to save, they instead self-destruct in a manner visually analogous to Teleportation to confuse the enemy as to their actual losses. Brutus must have destroyed its Personality Storage System, thus rendering any possibility of restoration impossible.

      One could argue that they were killed before they could have suffered as much damage as he did. Or that the Ultramarines were killed by a swift lethal shot, while Sa'kan's injuries haven't been fatal.
      He's got the wounds and scars because he survived long enough to get them.
      It could be an example of the difference between the two versions of space marines. Perhaps Sa'kan isn't as good a close range fighter, thus sustaining more injuries over time. Or perhaps the Ultramarines weren't as good in close range as he is, thus they got killed quicker than Sa'kan would.

      @@Mastercio Truth be told, a space marine is superior to a necron warrior and SOME other necron machines, since they react way faster and think far more tactically. A marine can use stealth, surprise attacks, ambushes, lay traps and is superior fighter in close quarters combat, and over the course of the campaign can actually destroy a big number of necron warriors, but yea, put them face to face, and the space marine is in trouble before closing in.
      Without Imperial Guard forces to fight the Necrons in attrition warfare, space marines would be ineffective against them, since their numbers are too low. Space marines do best when attacking the tomb world itself or the necron lord himself on the battlefield, while the Guard takes care of the bulk of the Necron forces.
      Edit 1: I should have mentioned that...yes, the necron warriors are way more accurate than being portrayed in this video...

    • @Mastercio
      @Mastercio 2 місяці тому +8

      @@alex20na 1 vs 1 they are superior to warriors, yes. But immortals are already match for them in terms of speed and react time, while being insanely more durable and having even stronger weapons than warrios. This is why in every of this shows the only thing they fight is either BADLY damaged(for example skorpekh destroyer here, normal one would just kill Brutus without any issue) or they just fight only warrior. If they throw here even single immortal among those warriors they would be done. I am not even mention stuff like Lychguards or Preatorians as those can easily fight chapter masters(like in world engine, single preatorian soloed chapter master and assault captain in 2 vs 1 while laughing at them entire time).
      Edit: I didnt saw your edit, i mean... yeah best way to fight necrons is just throw bodies while you try to deal with their tomb world... but even this is only if tomb world is not fully awakened... as when it is then imperial strategy is just run away and left planet alone... doesnt matter if you have space marines here or not.
