This is such a fantastic series. Thank you for taking the time to put it together. I've bought a 1997 2.2 Trafic van- My first- this week and it's in excellent condition.
I have a question . You haven't changed the cam belt. (Yet?) Is there a reason?
    Thanks,
    David

Thanks for the kind words David. The previous owner of the engine who I bought it from had only just put a new cambelt kit on it so it's pretty much brand new. I definitely would have changed it though if that hadn't have been done. My other van which I bought back in 2019 (current daily driver) had the cambelt done in 2014 according to the label so that's due again fairly soon. I'll try and make a video on that as well. It's actually not too tricky to do the cambelt itself, it's just a lot of the front end of the van has to come off to get access.

@@classictrafics Mine will need doing . It's only done 10,000 miles since the lest change, although that was 10 years ago.
There's a Facebook page for Mk1 Trafics. Would you mind if I shared your video's on there?

@@davidwhite3781 Yeah I would definitely change it after 10 years. I think old age can affect the rubber more than high mileage. I've also got a 1996 2.1 diesel van (off the road at the moment), bought it in 2017 and the belt on that was awful. No idea how it was still holding on, most likely the original. I managed to swing the rad out of the way on that so didin't need to drain down the system but not sure if that would work on the 2.2 . And yes of course please feel free to share these videos.

@@classictrafics Here's the link to the Facebook group to which I've posted your video series.
A video on cambelt replacement would be fantastic. (Incidentally, I know how long these things take to produce, so I'll have mine done by then but I can see other people getting a lot out of it)
      Thanks again,
      David
