One thing I'd love for you to add is a fit guide, your personal sneaker size compared to the size you order in these different boots. Love all the content and to anybody who hasn't subscribed to rose anvil 2, you definitely should!
I think fit guides are worthless only because everyone has a different shaped foot. I look at reviews and sites on what they say the fit should be, order half size down. Order your normal size, etc and they never seem to be right. All these different lasts shoes are built on makes it difficult to figure out sizing. I’m a 12 in nikes and adidas, 10.5 in heritage or most lug sole boots (almost anything Goodyear welted, 11 in tactical or hiking boot and 11.5 in under armour and new balance. It’s all over the map. 😂
I’d love to see you cut apart the Redwing Supersole 1159’s. I’ve had a pair for 10 years now. They were my first cowboy boot and can easily double as a work boot. They were tough on my heels breaking in but now one of my go to, can wear all day boots.
Another trick for getting on a tight pair of boots… cut a long strip from a plastic milk jug. It works as a flexible “shoehorn” but reduces friction between your sock and the boot. Then simply pull the shoehorn out…it’s reusable. Works great

I can wear them with thinner or slightly thick socks too and they still fit me fine. I have d width feet and took a gamble on the zip ropers as i'm intl based.
Hey Weston, based on your reviews I bought a pair of cowboy boots yesterday with confidence. Dan Posts, kind of a low-mid tier made in China. It was available with a steel toe and a waterproof lining, so my work covered part of the cost.
dan posts are great for around $200, i have several pairs that are made in mexico (presumably Leon) and they’ve lasted me 3-4 years of everyday wear with biweekly conditioning. enjoy your pair!
Been looking for a new pair of roper boots. Went to my local boot store and 90% of the boots they had in stock are square toe, which I am not a fan of. Im gonna try these out thanks for the review.
These remind me a bit of the PECOS from Redwing. Bought a used pair, barely used but i over stretched them so i got a fresh new pair nd just wore them in till they got comfy. Really like those boots. Obviously no 500+ boot but at 300 bucks im like'em !
I have a pair of these in the side zip version. They fit true to size in my opinion. I’m enjoying them and for under 300 bucks, Rhodes roper boots are great.
Thanks Weston, brought back memories of my first cowboy boots; Acme. Had know idea what I was buying, but I liked the look, they fit and they were cheap. Years later when I could afford custom I went with Stewart’s hand made. What a difference!
I live in Tucson where I was lucky enough to thrift a pair of gently used vintage Stewart’s and even though I’m not a big cowboy boot person, I love them. They aren’t super gaudy so they fit in well with other heritage style boots in my collection and are extremely well made from my relatively untrained eye. Would love to see a comparison of roper type work boots in say $350 price range. Maybe any style, as long as it’s a slip on low heel suitable as a work boot.
Reviewing a skate shoe would be difficult for a non-skateboader IMO. There's a lot of context that goes into why a material is used here vs. there that a layman would not know. While I think Rose Anvil could def look into the quality of the materials used, that's only half the battle when it comes to skate shoes. The other part is having the skate knowledge to understand why each part of the shoe is reinforced differently, and if it's actually done *well* in the context of skateboarding (which is even more important for longevity) Remember that skate shoes are coming into contact with sandpaper-like material (griptape), fast concrete, gravel, etc. extremely regularly and so they're made with a very different ethos from what a traditional boot, shoe, etc. is made with. So while I think Rose Anvil could def talk about just the general build quality, I don't know how useful it would be in actually recommending a shoe for it's actual purpose without having a solid background knowledge of skateboarding and where wear-and-tear usually occurs.
@@ClaytonWillisMusic I literally just typed up an entire thing explaining why that's only half the battle lol Understanding material quality and doing cross-sections is one thing but I probably wouldn't lean on a Rose Anvil review for a specialized thing like fencing shoes, just like I probably wouldn't for skate shoes. Can you do a review on the ‘Alberta Boot Company’ cowboy boots out of Calgary, AB Canada. They’ve made some good boots worn in western films filmed in Alberta.
You should do a chart on which cowboy boots are channel stitched welted and which boots use canvas gemming. It's an important decision for some when picking cowboy boots. There's a lot of differences that can be seen and felt but as far as the actual construction im curious to see if there's a difference or not. And secondly, could you do Justin boots? I'm not too sure if they're any different from Tony lamas I think. I don't remember which company is a sister brand to them. Check out georgia boot wellington style pull on work boots. They're pretty nice for around $200, I'm curious whats on the inside. They're nubuck leather too
The boots look good, the price is good, but they do not offer wide widths. Great for skinny feet I guess. Any chance they will be offering wide widths? I hate shoe / boot makers telling to go up a half size or a whole size. The footwear looks goofy when they are too long by doing that and never fit right with all the extra area in the toe area.
You should review the Double H Dylans! I’ve had a pair for a while now and they have been awesome so far but I’m curious about their construction for the price point. I lucked out and got mine used for a fraction of the price in excellent condition.

There's a lot of differences that can be seen and felt but as far as the actual construction im curious to see if there's a difference or not. And secondly, could you do Justin boots? I'm not too sure if they're any different from Tony lamas I think. I don't remember which company is a sister brand to them. The pair of Justin's I bought however broke in really fast I was able to swap out soles and now they're one of my favorite pairs of boots
Do a review on cuadra boots
Nice review, can you do one review like this on Anderson bean and Rios of Mercedez, please 🙏
A great boot I think you should try is the RRL Leather Walker boot, it's not cheap by any means but I wonder how good of a boot Ralph Lauren makes.
Weston I think you meant to say Chart not graph. Keep up the great work! Agree on whites more companies need to understand uncompromising quality always sells.
for this series you should get a pair of CODY JAMES MEN'S DIESEL WESTERN BOOTS - WIDE SQUARE TOE. They are very affordable (on sale at boot barn for $123) and look like they might be made pretty well, but there is only one way to find out.
Ehen I was young, I used to wear Spanish cowboy boots made by Sanchez. Was quite a good quality and lasted 8 years. Still must be in some place. Was quite a big brand.
Really enjoyed this Video. Great Review. Very Nice affordable cowboy boots.
Hey Weston cut open a pair of Boulet cowboy boots, they are made in Canada, I have a pair and I would like to see what you think of their construction.
It would be nice to see Nocona and Olathe.
And, once again, I urge you to try Sendra from Spain
Would like to see some of the timberland step propel you could even do a set of mock toes for moctober
Love your videos. You should do the QLTY moc toe and the Milwaukee moc toe boots
Awesome, always educational! Can you cut the Thursday mavericks next pleaseeee
Check out georgia boot wellington style pull on work boots. They're pretty nice for around $200, I'm curious whats on the inside. They're nubuck leather too
I'd like to see how the Justin Roper compares to this one. The Justin roper being the classic roper and can be found for just over $100.
In my experience as a western boot salesman, the majority of Justin Ropers are Chinese made of low quality materials that don't last.
Hey Mike, I passed your feedback along to our Rhodes team - we are working towards expanding sizes and fits across all items we make!
Please do a review on the new Thursday Boots western line!
Huckberry has good customers service and also frequent sale prices!
Right now $147 on sale? Yesterday they were $250. Last week when I ordered mine they were $210 😒🤨😫.
Still waiting for you to do haix
You should review the Double H Dylans! I’ve had a pair for a while now and they have been awesome so far but I’m curious about their construction for the price point. I lucked out and got mine used for a fraction of the price in excellent condition.
Not a cowboy boot I wanna see cut in half but the Trench boot or Feild boot made by Oakstreetbookmaker would be dope, thinking about getting a pair
