a video where I regret living in Turkey. Perfect workmanship and a wonderful boot that everyone should have. I send respect and love to everyone. If one day they are sold to Turkey, I want these valuable boots. I congratulate you all.
I was watching this on my chair. It was so calming for me I started to get drowsy. Around the end I was barely awake. Half dreaming. Thinking to myself why is this guy grinding the sole forever.
Excelente, que bueno que utilicen el sistema de cerrado o montado, a mano. Le da el toque artesanal. Felicitaciones, es un producto muy bueno viéndolo terminado,, saludos desde Bs. As. Argentina
I’m a welder/fabricator and over the last 30 yrs the one part that wears out the quickest on boots for me is the leather over the steel toe. I’ve worked jobs where I have to crawl around on units or concrete and the toes take a lot of abuse. How does the leather on your boot stand up to that abuse versus a Carolina boot or some other mid level brand?
Leather is Leather Either from Cow , Horse or Buffalo Thickness is what matters . I got a pair of Army Surplus boots for under $50 bucks , they are dated 2009 That's 15 years ago and they still perform like new , I got them in 2015 just 8 years ago , I certainly wouldn't take a pair of $600 dollar boots in a Welding shop but you ain't me , and if you want to , go ahead . I been a Welder / Fabricator for 40 years
I wouldn’t take these boots in a weld shop either. Too expensive. I was just curious how they would hold up. It does say making best work boot tougher. The toe is the place that I destroy the most.
@@frostywelder1220these types of boots are weird because the outsole sticks out a lot which tends to protect the toe. If you are kneeling and wear the toe down that way, doesn’t matter what kind of shoe you wear it will wear through eventually. One thing they have is rough out which helps a lot with the toe getting cut and worn, it’s more resistant.
Also nobody cares that you were a welder fabricator stripper machine operator for 30 40 80 90 years, I don’t know why you guys need to state that like you’re departing at an airport
If youre welding checkout their ironhide. Leather on these boots is much thicker and tougher than what youre thinking. I love my jks... wearing for over a year... nothing else comes close to the durability
When they mold the shoe around the foot model the nails they put in look like they would go into the model because they are long enough but the bottom of the model is metal so just curious how that works?
this might be a stupid question and not the place to ask it but just how much better do you think these boots are than red wing or something along that line? I’m willing to spend the money to get good boots had my Red Wings for seven or eight months they are leaking already and one of the toes is blown out from working, every day work in a cemetery nothing too crazy
Great question! We can’t say a bad thing about anyone else, but I can guarantee you, that the product we produce is on an entirely different level than anything else out there. From material quality to construction style and the overall handmade element, I can be sure you’ll get 2-4x more out of these boots than anything else
Love these boots BUT you need to cut stitching grooves in the soles. Have seen many photos with popped stitches on new boot soles. I'd build a hand grinder with a guide on it...could make grooves in 2 minutes. I'd be pissed if my stitches popped loose. Just sayin.
We have 17 EE available but our composite toes wont fit, however we can make a custom fiberglass toe. If you have any other questions reach out to or customer service team at (Call or Text) (509) 487-0154 or general@jkboots.com
I desperately need work boots and I haven't been able to find anything off the shelf that will work. Is it possible to get anything bigger than a size 14? I wear a size 15 wide and I have other orthopedic issues. When I was a teenager my orthopedic surgeon recommended that I get custom shoes made but I never have. Throughout the years I found a couple off the shelf shoes I can wear. My right leg is 1/2" to 3/4" shorter than my left which is the result of shattering my hip as a teenager. The other issue I have is with my left foot and ankle, in my mid 20s I was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma in my left foot and ankle and I received surgery and radiation and parts of my ankle joint has been cut out and fused with hardware so the outside of my ankle is wider. I was probably 17 the last time I had a pair of boot I could wear. I own a hot rod and performance automotive business along with a machine shop and metal fabrication business. I am always welding and plasma cutting and can't count how many times I have had spatter or dross go down in my shoes and burn into my feet. What I really need is a pair of size 15 wide boots with a taller right side boot to compensate for leg length and a the left boot needs extra room for the outside of ankle. A couple of years ago I experimented with making my right shoe taller, I cut up a tire and traced the outline of my shoe on a piece of tread and glued it to the bottom of my right shoe and sanded the sides flush using my belt grinder. I was able to walk so much better and even my back and posture was much improved, the only problem was the added weight of the tire tread felt strange.
Yes we can definitely help you with all three of those things! Theres three ways to go about it, come get sized at one of our stores if you are in the area, shoot us a call at (509) 487-0154, or email us this same response at general@jkboots.com and we will do our best to reach out to you 👍
Theres a metal plate in the bottom of the 'last' this bends all the nails back into the midsole and insoles. The screws only enter the midsole and are not long enough to puncture through 👍

Too many issues here. Boot looks good but, Stiches will be stepped on at the bottom of the shoe. They wont last. Are those nails coming out of his mouth😂. Polishing rubber with no mask🥲. What happened to work safety/
You are clueless my friend. When the stitching on the soles are flush with the ground, the boots will be way past due on a re-sole. That would take at least a year with heavy use every day. Even if the stitching does come in to contact with the ground, it is still pretty thick, fireproof, and wear resistant, not to mention the outsole is also glued and screwed in.
So, do you own a pair of literally any pnw boots? I'm guessing not because JKs, Nick's, Whites, and Franks boots all have similar outsole construction, and nobody complains about the sole coming apart. You either know nothing about boots or you buy Chinesium

Cool, definitely y'all got skills. (What happens to the nails?)
The nails hit the metal last inside the boot and bend back towards themselves. The nails stay inside the finished boot 👍

Just wondering, why not stitch the heel part also? I think that way the linkage would remain stronger.
Why is there smoke or dust coming from your industrial post bed when you sew? Does it need oil or is it just the environment?
Its smoke from the friction of the needle meeting the natural oils in the thick leather 💪
Won't the stitches at the bottom of the sole could break off easily if we use on the rough surface like tarmac?
Как бы я хотел поработать на таком предприятии😳
When they mold the shoe around the foot model the nails they put in look like they would go into the model because they are long enough but the bottom of the model is metal so just curious how that works?
The nails curve around and clinch the material together
Great job. But what about all the nails ? didn't they stick out the inside...
Thank you! No there is a last inside the boot that bends the nails back into the midsole. They will not poke the wearer's feet at all 👍
Though very automated compared to 50 years ago or so, still lots of manual tasks. Those cutter dies eliminate scissors.
