Simple Woodturning And Creating A Little Viking Project

Something a little different for a change this time, dont panic i haven't hung up the welding torch :) This was something i had created around christmas time after Santa brought me a wood lathe. This was what inspired me to build a metal one.

Sanding deer antler now that's a smell you never forget. Brilliant thanks I've never seen wood been burnished that way with a chunk of fire wood brilliant. Great as ever bro just off to eBay now 😀😀

That is the way I was taught to burnish wood to give it some color in places you wanted it :) I never knew any other way other than by doing it by hand… using a lathe is soooo much easier… and I agree, sanding dear antlers or antlers / horns of any type leaves a smell that just sticks to you and follows you around for hours….

Bah! Find ya some soft scrap wood - maybe where they're building houses. Ya might have to glue a few pieces together and clamp overnight. Give it a go! Never hurts to practice and experiment! Cheers!

I was burnishing a piece for this little snowman I was making and I wanted the top hat to be black or as close to black as I could get… I ended up setting it on fire… well, I got the black top hat lol….
