Hi Jon... That is such a cute little guy... and a great idea to put him to use as a bottle opener... it works really well... I got some fur this week for making Gonks I haven't got round to making my chess piece bottle opener yet. ... it's on my to do list... Entertaining video as always... Take care...All the best.....Andy
That is one cute little guy. I have just one thing I want to add though. I have seen way too much violence in my lifetime and when I originally saw the sword and spear...I was reminded of a battle field. I'm sure others felt the same. That's probably not a plus.
How old are you that when you see a sword or spear your 1st thought is a battlefield and not World of Warcraft or Ever Quest ? Or Brave Heart, I mean, the Japanese used swords on rare occasion in WW2 as a last ditch effort, my Grandpa shared those stories with me but to be a world war 2 vet you would have to be nearly if not pushing past 100
Definitely agree that things need some purpose. Having said that I'm thinking small gonks on a chain for key rings or handbag decorations. Any thoughts on that Jon?
Thank you very much for this great Idea! This will make a perfect little Christmas Gift for my brother-in-law 😁🍻
Thanks for giving the various dimensions as you go. It is very helpful.
Always check the kit dimensions first as specifications can change and we cannot do a new video for minor spec changes.
What a great idea, I do like making gonks, now I can put them to use, thanks Jon!
what a creative and cute gift 🙂

Hi Jon, I do believe I have a couple of these, that I haven't used yet, and what a great adaptation for it. Brilliant Jon. Take care. Cheers, Huw

He looks great. He could be used as a pencil holder too.

Never heard the term "Gonk". I love it
It was originally a 1960's furry toy designed in London but has gone on to mean a little furry gnome-like figure.

This little fella is about 120mm tall and I found it quite fiddly - best of luck with a keyring! Or maybe make a big keyring and drive a Unimog!
Very nice
Love the idea. I am across the pond in the great country of Texas… do you know where I can get the bottle opener kit in the USA?
I'm afraid we only ship from the UK but we do send to the USA regularly
In Kansas, was thinking the same thing. Really cool project.
