- A Sony a6700 cinematic about finding tranquility in a hectic city like Amsterdam by reconnecting with nature through dance. This short film was all shot handheld with Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 & Sony 18-105mm f/4 OSS in 4K and SLOG3 with some post video stabilization (warp stabilizer).
Special thanks to Rhodé Veerhuis for her amazing performance and patience in the cold!

Sony needs to send this guy an FX3.

I comeback to this video almost everyday to inspiring me
Perfect connection human art + nature in beautiful harmony dance + music. What a perfect and delicate balance... Thank you Kasper.
Thank you so much! Means a lot to me 🙏
Shivers, Kasper, all you gave me is shivers, among all of these “filmmakers”, it’s been a while since i’ve seen such a polished work, composition, storytelling, colour grading, everything about this video is perfect, with some imperfections that makes it even more perfect, RESPECT, GREAT JOB!! Loved it ❤
Love all the way from Russia
Thank you so much! That's so great to hear 🙏🙏
Looks so beautiful! Love the contrast between the city and forest, amazing!
Every time I see your stuff I'm genuinely amazed. You've got an incredible gift man.

Incredible work, rivetingly beautiful and full of feeling! Thank you so much for making this.
Thank you so much man! 🙏
Absolutey amazing storytelling. Your videos are an inspriation and helped motivate me to start my own channel with the A6700. I am a complete novice and so will be studying your videos closely. Great work!
This is the epitome of ART.

Its so cinematic 🙌🏻🧡
I was immediately captivated by this. Nice work!
i’m tearing up at the possibilities with this camera. i’m trying to talk myself down from buying a sony a7iv so i can have more room to buy the simple stuff like sd cards and a mic and a good lens. i feel like i understand how much this camera can do. what a beautiful cinematic
Bro I have watched it too many times the dance with the birds it is too epic

Kasper!!!! This video is amazing! Keep up!!! My friend!👍
Thanks a lot Casey!! 🤗
art piece
Hermoso, hermoso!
Gracias Deis!
the end gives me chill
This has been the best video i have seen on tge a6700 and those lenses. I mean, people love arguing on lenses apertures and reach and you create this masterpiece with zoom lenses.
Thanks! I think there's a lot of value in not having to change lenses. Fast primes are great, but lighting and composition are more important to me.
just discovered your content, seriously incredible work! love it 😍
Thank you so much! 🙏
Beautiful
Bro this was extremely good don't think i even blinked damnn!!!

Your video has great inspirational power. It is extremely well shot and edited. This video has an idea and the actress amplifies it.
Thank you so much! She did an amazing job indeed!
@@KaspervanDijk Both of you
Amazing my brother.
Thanks a lot!
Thank you!
This is insane. You need to breakdown the quality of image for us!
bello complimenti 👏👏👏
👍Geweldig mooi gedaan!
Dankjewel!
On-wijs mooi gedaan 🥹🫠❤️❤️❤️
Dankjewel lieve Men! ❤
😍😍😍
Wow. Just wow. If anyone needs proof the camera is just one of many tools in storytelling. Not saying the A6700 is't good, I have one, but this is better than what most people pump out with FF cinema rigs.
❤🎉🔥
That's just very amazing! Would you be so kind to tell color profile or lut used for grading?
tutorial grading please, and how to direct subject on the light source. it's amazing when in the forest part
Its fucking awesome bro!
damn.
In these videos brool there was some situation of overheating of the camera... Amazing joob😊
Thankss! I have no overheating issues since I have switched the 'Auto Power OFF temp' to 'High'
I've been thoroughly enjoying your videos - they're absolutely fantastic! Your talent is truly remarkable, quick question are you using Catalyst to stabilize your footage?
Thanks a lot! I rarely use catalyst. At most 1 shot per montage. In this one, none. I do often use warp stabilizer in premiere pro around 1-10%.
@@KaspervanDijk Thanks for letting me know! Best wishes to you!
This is literally amaaaazing ❤️🔥🔥
Can you tell me please from where can i learn to colorgrade like this ?
Thank you so much! The base of the color grade is the "Neutral A7s3-Legacy" Lut from Phantom Luts. Then I adjust the exposure, contrast and white balance. On top of that I often use a creative Lut to fit a certain mood. In this film I made the forest scenes warmer and the city colder to create more contrast.
@@KaspervanDijk ooooh this is amazing
Thank you so much man , i rlly appreciate it 🙏🏻❤️
Super cool! Have you ever tried tamron 17 70?
Thanks! No never, but I choose the Sigma for the lighter weight and I liked the bokeh better from what I've seen online.
what LUT are u using for the color grade? because its look very fantastic
Thanks! I use "Neutral A7s3-Legacy" from Phantom Luts as a base with a subtle creative grade on top of that.
Uau
Can i know the lens u mosly used in this video?...video is amazing
Thanks! Mostly used Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8. All the portrait shots are with that one.
nice
Dankjewel man!
I love how you create movement from the begining to the end. Continuous movement. How long did it take you to create this video? Cheers!
Thanks! I tried to make the edit feel like a dance with the continuous movement. We shot it in 2 mornings with some additional b-roll. The editing took about a week I think.
Amazing man. Did you use autofocus everytime? or manual?
Thanks! It's a combination of both. When the subject is in one position and there are moving objects in the foreground, I often use manual focus. When the subject is moving I mostly use auto-focus.
Wait, I'm upgrading from a Sony a6400 to an a6700 and already have the Sigma 30mm f1.4. Could I get images this crisp and beautiful wiht that combo? Or is there something special about the zoom that achieved this other than fov's?
I've never used the Sigma 30mm f1.4, but I think in terms of optical image quality you can achieve similar results.
Super mooi man.
This is excellent! We’re the bird slow mo shots in 60fps or 120fps?
Thank you! It was mainly shot in 4K 60fps. Only the shot at 02:15 was in 1080p 120fps.
Beautiful work my friend👏. By the way, what mic do you use to capture background sound? it sounds very clear
Thank you! The final sound mix is about 50% internal mic and 50% sound effects added in post.
What a beautiful and well shot film. May i ask if you have experienced any over heating issues?
Thank you! I have no overheating issues since I have switched the 'Auto Power OFF temp' to 'High'
@@KaspervanDijk thank you, im debating weather or not to buy it but the overheating issues have put me off. This reassures me a little. thank you
Could you help me with the Sony A6700 Slog 3? I noticed that the camera's Luts are always activated, and to put it in slog 3 without conversion you need to leave the slog 3 lut activated. My question is about this, how to use the Luts inside the camera and if there is a way to deactivate it when using slog 3.
Another question, I noticed that Slog 3 on the Sony a6700 is not as desaturated as it was on my A6400 and also on the Sony A7III, is this due to the 10 bits? I would be grateful if you could help me and congratulations on the video, it was spectacular!
First of all you need to turn on Log Shooting. Then in the 'Main' menu you can load in your custom Luts on one of the 4 user slots. In the same menu you can easily switch between your custom luts preview and the raw SLOG3 preview. I never used SLOG3 on a6400 so I can't say anything about that.
I wanna make a 30mins short film do u recommend this camera
Amazing work. I'd love to know what mic you use when recording your videos?
Thank you! I just used the in-camera mic, no external mic. In combination with some sound effects I added in post production.
@@KaspervanDijkwow, did you do any post processing on the audio, especially on your other video "Sony a6700 Cinematic | Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8"?
No post processing, only adjusted the gain. I try to keep the sound design subtle. I do often use different layers of sound to create some depth.@@forte2337
@@KaspervanDijk I appreciate the response! I love your work, looking forward to the next ones!
amazing video! more of this please! what fps are you filming the slow mos in? is that 60p or 120p?
Thanks! The slow motion shots are mainly shot in 4K 60. The shots at 2:15 and 2:35 were in 1080p 120.
@@KaspervanDijk any over heating issues while making this ??
No overheating issues at all. Even at 4K60. It was quite cold outside in the city though and in the forest around 15 degrees Celsius.@@ChillStudyDate
Do you prefer this camera or the e10??
I prefer the a6700 for it's improved rolling shutter, dynamic range, stabilization, 4K60 and 10-bit color. But it's also much more expensive. So for the money the zv-e10 is still good value.
Amazing!!
*dit is zo fucking mooi he*
@@KaspervanDijk Ik zal eens kijken vanavond!
a la vergaaaaaa esta brutal
Did you film this in XAVC S-I 4:2:2 10-Bit?
No, it was shot in XAVC HS 4:2:0 10-Bit
nice color grading.. used the Premiere pro or davinci?
