Gabriel thanks your videos and showing every time where you stay, what you eat, what you buy and how much you spend! Being able to immerse in the culture/nature is great but also understanding how much someone would spend as tourist: that is the whole package, thank so much!
As a Turk i visited Kotor, Budva, Sveti Stefan 5 years ago, Sveti Stefan is very beautiful, picturesque town, both old architecture and nature are so beautiful.
Great content Gabriel, the Turkish moussaka (whatever it is) looked delicious, your videos are very crisp and clear, love how you describe the areas you visit, simple and to the point also how you tell us the price of the food, Turkey is truly beautiful, I hope you stay there longer
Ay! I've been at this place in 1985. More or less as a kind of "pioneer tourist". It's impressive how it all developed there. Have a great time. And cheers with a chilled Efes-Pilsen :)
Hello Gabriel , this is my first comment. I like very much your travels and place discovery. When i saw "One day in Oludeniz" it reminded me of beautiful memories I have from that place. It is completely changed !!! too many buildings, businesses and people. I was there in the late 80's and it was only nature and very few boats much smaller though all that area was wild and beautiful. Yes for tourism but when too much its no good. Enjoy your stay
I have been to Olu Deniz about a dozen times. It is a great holiday destination because the scenery, the weather, and the Mediterranean cuisine are unbeatable.
Nice to see you in turkey, I'm really looking forward to see more from Turkey. This area where you are now, is one of the most popular and most exciting place for human history and civilisation. I recommend to see the antic city's in this area. And also the beaches are famous. Wonderful place to be. And you already have been to butterfly valley? Would also recommend Marmaris, Olympus beach, and some waterfalls. Take a car, this would be really helpful. This region is phenomenal. Have fun!
Wow! What a gorgeous video, Gabriel. This all looked really incredible. Even the way you describe where you are, I can tell you're revamped and energetic about the place. Thanks!
Completely agree with you there,as myself was in Turkey about 10 years ago,and was our Holiday slightly more ‘expensive' (Which was "still cheap as chips”) compare to the latest and current prices as being projected on here. Was and is one of my most favourite places in the world.
Ha ha ha Gabriel I can see you really enjoyed the thrill of dodging the Paragliders ☺️Looks like a beautiful spot. So nice to see the adriatic so sparkly blue. Have a wonderful time 🕊️👒🌻🎶

Like you I am a seasoned traveller and for me it is probably in my top 10 places off the tourist trail. Get to Dalyan, get a little rowing boat across the river for a few lira (very cheap), then an hour walk to an amazing archaeological wonderland.
I was there many years ago and the same issue then with para-gliders . They defo need a designated landing strip. If you hop over to Cyprus give me a shout. We can give you a room 👍👍
I was there in August, stayed at the top of the road where you had lunch, love the place and the people, they can't do enough for you. Watch out for the biting fish, sea bream apparently, they got me twice and drew blood each time.I got my revenge though I had one for my evening meal a couple of days later. A place I will definitely return to once everything gets back to normal.
It's so nice watching to see you Gab travelling in such a wonderful country of Turkey. While we're still in travel ban.. I Hope this Pandemic to end up soon. 🙏
Last time i was in Oludeniz was 1998 it's changed so much along the beach. I remember swimming out into the lagoon and seeing stolen cars dumped deep into it. Guess it's gone up market a bit. Fethiye is a really good harbor town to explore.
We. lived at Ulu Deniz in 1974 for 3 months on $1,000. It was completely deserted then save for a Turkish army garrison posted there. A delicious bottle of wine, a haircut and cigarettes were less than 50 cents. The biggest treat was going to Fethiye for pizza. I nearly drowned in the treacherous currents.
I've been intrigued by Ölüdeniz since I've seen a pic of it in a Turkish cooking book. These marvellous colours! It doesn't really come over in this report, but it was interesting anyway.
I was in Turkey on 2018.. olundeniz and paraglided enroute with GoSailTurkey.. 7 days on a Turkish gulet. Loved your video and your interest in the Lycian trails... you've sparked an idea for me to return.
Is anyone else ever half-decided on where they want to travel to next and then a new Gabriel Traveler video comes out and the destination changes to: "THERE! I want to go THERE now!?"
Absolutely agree with you . Best holiday ever last year , cancelled this year due to Pandemic .Booked for whole of September next year ... fingers crossed!
Been to Oludeniz lots of time & it never lets you down..Loved it every time now I’m looking forward to taking my new family this year I find it hard to compare to other places I have been too it’s that good.
Love Turkey good price compared to Europe and better quality customer service and quality healthy food beautiful beaches and mountains Turkey go it all peace of mind 👍👍
Great video to see you on the Turkish Riviera after this 3 months travel through ex Yougoslavia .. You re soo lucky to still stay in the sun, explore nice beaches , good food...and so much more... Best greetings from Paris 👋👋
Wow I remember going there back in 2005 or so. Bean bags all over the beach at night, and people landing on the beach all day after launching from the cliffs above. It's such an experience getting on the little bus type (dolmush) vehicles over to Fethiye. It was around 4 lira to the pound back then, now its about 10 lira to the pound. I didn't like the begging for your business type of approach, it was a little too aggressive.
Hi, Gabriel, first about pronouncing, originaly from Greece it is Likya with K not Licya with C. I walked Likyan way last year all the way from Fetihye to Tekirova. Too much good beaches around the trail and because of that I didn't have time for the last section from Tekirova to Kemer and beyond but I returned this year in September mostly for a casual vacation and also to walk that last section. So I walked the whole Likyan way and if you have any questions please ask, I'll be glad to answer to you. You have 4x4 transportation to/from Kabak beach but Butterfly valley beach could be accessed only by boat or by ropes. There is a trail from the main road with 3 rock sections equiped with 3 ropes to climb down/up and it is fun. There are not many authentic Turkish places around because this coast was mostly populated by Greeks until 1920s. Kas is one of them, beautiful little city with great looking Kaputas beach nearby. Next authentic Turkish city is old part of Antalya. Also one more very interesting place is Cirali beach in Olympos national park, probably the only hippie community in Turkey. I slept there for 2 night in may 2019 and climbed Tahtali mountain from there. From sandy beach to 7000+ feets high snowy peak. No you can't do that in your sandals :)
I love this quaint little area if you go a little West to Marmaris and Içmeler that's where I lived for a year. Very small quite little towns in off season but very busy in summer seasons. If you have time you should check it out. My dear friend Ahmet owns Sam's tattoos in Marmaris he'd be happy to show you around. Once you've been to Turkey it'll have you mesmerized in keep calling you back Haha. I found when I lived in Turkey for 7 years it didn't matter what region I explored and even if I had been 2 or 3 times before, I always found something different to see and that's what I love so much about this country it's never boring!! I lived like a Queen on a $1000 us month n traveled my little tushy off lol. Happy I did before I was stricken with cancer twice in one year. I've not been the same since, so I always tell young ppl travel as much as you can and take in all the beauty this world has to offer! The memories and the people you meet along the way are what make your experiences so much better. Thank you Gabriel for all your Enthusiastic energy👍 it's something I would just love to bottle up turn into a pill and take every day.😆 may God keep you safe along your journey my friend. ✌çok yaşa Gabriel Morris🙏
I was at Icmeler beach about thirty minutes ago. I'm staying in Marmaris and drove over there to check it out. Great area. It was very quiet over there but the main part of Marmaris is pretty busy. Probably nothing like peak season though.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos bravo, yes very quite especially this time of year. Marmaris is a little bigger n busier. Not Much to do there as it caters to tourist in the summer months, but the small villages and surrounding mountains I hiked were the highlight of living there. My appartment was so inexpensive and gave me the opportunity to stay for a year while I traveled all around the different districts of Mugla and near by cities n I ❤ed it! I'm very fortunate that I've been retired awhile and can pick up n go wherever I want for however long I want. 🙂 Wishing you a safe journey Gabriel enjoy a cup çay(tea) for me😊☕✌
So nice to see familiar places! I did a road trip here back in 2014 I think when I lived in Antalya. There are so many nice places on the coast there! Love Turkey!❤️🇹🇷
Great video, really helpful as I’m going to Olüdeniz next summer, so really handy to see what the area is like and what to expect 😊 will keep my eyes out for paragliders for sure
I've been playing catch up with your latest videos Gabriel. Thank you so much - they are so uplifting in these hard times when it is easy to sink into depression. I'm guessing that some of the places like this are quite quiet at the moment (and maybe the better for that, although sadly not for the businesses there that rely on tourism). We need to support these industries on a global level. I'm off to Portugal soon for some adventures. It's crazy that you aren't allowed into the Shengen areas yet - you've not been in the US for months now! Keep traveling and making these amazing videos. I know how much work goes into them. I haven't tried the Osmo Action out under water yet... eek!
hi bro some useful information for tourists 1- Do not buy anything from airports its so expensive 2-Kebabs average 20 lira .Those over 40 lira are robbers 3- Think of 1 euro as an average of 3 liras. And know that the price is a trap if it comes to you too much in units.
how it has changed its hard to believe it i was there in 1985 all just dust tracks but still plenty of bars and so much better for me that is...but if you like all this tourist stuff which many people do im sure you will enjoy .....beware it gets hot very...
Hello Gabriel.. Absolutely beautiful.. The food looked very good and the price was more than reasonable.. This is definitely one for the bucket list. Thanks for a great video..Take care!🌹
Hey brother, am in Istanbul heading south on the 13th Maybe end up near Kusadasi OR Celcuk. Will stay for 2 months bopping around down there. Would love to meet if your available and around. Love those Tacos..why do people get pissy when you show non traditional foods? Do they not know foreigners also want to find known and familiar foods when living abroad..ha maybe they don't know this fact!
@@GabrielTravelerVideos You can tell me your Oregon tales. Wonder if s guy could do a small beach fire down there at night? Would be kinda fun to have. A Turkish beach bonfire.
FANTASTIC VIDEO, thank you. I can't believe how much Oludeniz, the beach & lagoon area have changed since my last two weeks there, almost 20yrs ago in the height of summer (August) Then it was a much much quieter affair in every way & only one boat going out for day trips & to Butterfly Island, which is an absolute must. The sea there is the clearest I have ever seen, anywhere. I swimmed in the lagoon with giant turtles, atleast 0.5 of a metre in length. I loved everything about the area. I'd like to know what date this video was made as the weather is great & theres plenty of tourists about. Thanks for sharing. Now subscribed.
Wow, sounds like things have changed big-time in twenty years. This video was filmed just a few days before the upload date. The weather has changed lately and is getting cooler.
Look up "Aaron Explores" , who is in the complete opposite side of the country right now. Might give you some ideas like Trabzon. And as always, cheers.

It's crazy that you aren't allowed into the Shengen areas yet - you've not been in the US for months now! Keep traveling and making these amazing videos. I know how much work goes into them. I haven't tried the Osmo Action out under water yet... eek!
I thought people would have to wear a mask in public in Turkey?
its true, you can see some people wear. probably less control by police in touristic places.
Mainly on the buses and when entering retail shops.
I'm planning on going to Turkey around the end of this month.
hi bro some useful information for tourists
1- Do not buy anything from airports its so expensive
2-Kebabs average 20 lira .Those over 40 lira are robbers
3- Think of 1 euro as an average of 3 liras. And know that the price is a trap if it comes to you too much in units.
and Nowadays one euro about 9 liras.if you work there with the minimum wage you are rich here
Ciao.. Gabriel.. Thanks for another wonderful video.. 🍀

Cool man, thanks for the tip, I didn't know about it. It looks really nice. If you see me in the area feel free to say howdy.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos You can tell me your Oregon tales. Wonder if s guy could do a small beach fire down there at night? Would be kinda fun to have. A Turkish beach bonfire.
i thought the first shot at the restaurant was on Kos! omg it looks exactly the same..
Gabriel- great video. Thanks for sharing. Turkey now is one of very few countries that welcome Americans now! Thanks Turkey :)
Oh YES .... Finally a room tour again ! Now some night footage and i'm happy !
XD
FANTASTIC VIDEO, thank you.
I can't believe how much Oludeniz, the beach & lagoon area have changed since my last two weeks there, almost 20yrs ago in the height of summer (August)
Then it was a much much quieter affair in every way & only one boat going out for day trips & to Butterfly Island, which is an absolute must.

Hugely, only just recognisable. I was shocked at how much.
Great place & I must go back asap.
Look up "Aaron Explores" , who is in the complete opposite side of the country right now. Might give you some ideas like Trabzon. And as always, cheers.
Those landings look so sketchy it makes Nepal look mega safe, I guess Turkey has no safety standards.
