I enjoy the diversity you have in your travels. Sometimes by foot, other times by car, also bike, motorbike, bus travel. Forest, beach, city, ruins, it's all good. Presented in a sharing way, with your viewers. Thank you Gabriel.
So cool man! Me and my wife visited Istanbul and Cappadocia last week. Super awesome trip. My favorite place was definitely Cappadocia and we did the hot air balloon ride at sunrise one morning and it was spectacular!! Absolutely amazing from the air!!
I’m blown away by Antalya and the coastal places you showed here. I’d heard of Antalya but had no idea how amazing was. The food looks really delicious too! Thanks Gabriel for inspiring us with these beautiful locations😀
Wow just incredible. Beautiful loved it from the landscape foliage to the night life vibes. It's an edited video but still. No wonder there are tons of tourist alt life style live-in areas. Amazing Anatalya I see why it's rated so highly. 🇹🇷
Can’t get more late 90s tourism than Antalya here in this Scandinavian town. Everyone I know including my family went there. Thailand and Turkey(specifically Antalya) were the places to go back then. EDIT: Lol. That meal at the end looks spectacular.
the exchange ret fell (from TL p.o.view) in the last years constantly. but still sometimes it goes a little up and then back again. so the prices vary depending on the exchange rate. for most of the time, the exchange rate went down since the year, where the new TL was introduced.
I graduated high school in '89. Loved them and the Violent Femmes, Talking Heads, Wall of Voodoo, Dead Kennedys, Circle Jerks, Oingo Boingo, the Cure, etc., etc.
So Cool, the improvement in the quality of footage from 2009 to now is Amazing! Now I'm wondering in another 10 years what the difference will look like. Cheers To You Gabriel & Safe Travels :)
Aww man you should have stayed in Olimpos one night-you could have seen the “fire mountain”, flames that come out of the mountain only visible at night. It’s the origin of the legend of the Chimera.
I love watching all your videos. I've been reading my Bible every day and some of the places you've been help me see what it was like back in those days. I'm glad you love history. Keep adding videos, very informative
Turkey looks very interesting! Hey, have you ever been to Argentina? I just talked to a guy yesterday from Buenos Aires and he said Argentina is very cheap now. He said that you could get a nice hotel room for $40 a night and the food is cheap too. He said you can do a tour of Patagonia for not much money too. I looked at Buenos Aires on Google maps and it looks very European. It’s a nice city but very big.
But you will be under a government that locks up journalists and political opposition, aka a dictatorship. You would be crazy to go there outside a short holiday ( which I would also avoid personally)

Mike, did you see my latest instagram post? Any thoughts on that coin? I'm assuming it's a fake but curious to know more. instagram.com/gabrieltraveler/
@@GabrielTravelerVideos yes i agree with the fellow numismatist that said its from syracuse part of sicily ancient greece around 400bc with head of artemis-arethusa on one side and a galloping quadriga on the other. it is a decadrachm the highest denomination made and if it was real it would be worth about 100k but most are just copies for tourists. so unless you found it kicking around in the ruins you love to explore i wouldnt get my hopes up as to it authenticity
@@mikejohnson599 Who knows its origins, I didn't find it but bought it at one of the sites for $20. Almost certainly a fake but it's still an impressive coin, I love the images on it.

You're acting very familiar with the Turkish people and the landscape. Looking good. And feels good. You might have some Turkish ancestors, don't you? Great city Antalya. I've been there last winter. So amazing.
After this trip you might change your opinion of where is your favourite place on earth. I would recommend anatolia, for every human being on earth. This is the landscape where human civilisation started and so many cultures have been. Visit this beautiful anatolia and his ruins and history.
Can you do a video about how you enter a country and manage your money? do you use an ATM card or do you get cash ...and such as when to use what, like at a restaurant or gas station or hotel? Also how do you prepare for phone service in each country? I'm sure your phone has some data that you require ....especially for GPS and you're not always 100% dependent on hotel or restaurant Wi-Fi
Good. Alina released a video of her daily expenses in Bulgaria about a week ago. Between $55-60, without a car rental. Now, i would say Turkey is slightly cheaper than Bulgaria at this point. Car rental in Turkey is more expensive if compared to Bulgaria.
Echo and the Bunnymen - nice! I remember Mazzy Star before as well. I hope some Madder Rose is in the mix as well, I think I'm a fellow 90s Indie kid Gab 🤘

You can't beat Turkey on value for money in the Mediterranean. Amazing memories driving down from Romania with family in the early 2000s.

Thanks for showing us these most interesting sights!
Everything seams like Greece. I am very intrigued by those stone boxes, was that where they buried the dead?
Yes, they're tombs but probably for more important people. Not everyone gets a sarcophagus.
Impressive lunch for $8.20. Dinner looked great and was also a bargain. Turkey may be in my future.
its about £6.50 per kilo in the UK.

How do you compare Izmir with Antalya from living perspective? Which one is less costly?
