Can it be their business email? Or does it have to be their personal email? (most likely the one they used to sign up to FB in the first place.) I've run Video View campaigns, and can see that I've achieved 3" Video Views in Ads Manager - when I go ahead & try to build a 3" video view retargeting audience from these views, the video ads have no where close to the # of views registered on Ads Manager. Is there a reason why the views in Ads Manager aren't qualifying for retargeting?
I've had a retargeting ad set up for about a week and a half using a custom audience of people who've gone to my checkout page url in the Last 30 days. There's about 50 people per day landing on this page (so about 500 visitors or so) and yet the ad has not been shown once to anyone. No ad spend, zero impressions. Any idea what's wrong?
Are you sure you've got your retargeting criteria set up correctly? There aren't any other restrictions in place such as other detailed targeting options?

Yes I agree, we've taken that out of all videos within the past 18 months or so but some of the older ones still have it as we can't edit those I'm afraid.

Why wouldn't we add an additional parameter like an engaged shopper? I'm thinking just because someone landed on our page doesn't mean they were interested. I understand what you are saying but just because someone is an engaged shopper doesn’t mean they will or won’t buy from your business specifically. There are lots of people that don’t shop often but are interested in what you have to offer and may well purchase. I wouldn’t want to miss out on those people.

You are very welcome and that’s a good question. With warm audiences I bundle them in together because we know we want to reach all the people and don’t need to test those audiences. With cold audiences we need that data, so split them up.

Question: I live in a tourist location (Kauai) so I cant have a broad audience (and our ads are expensive but that's another story) I have several ads running for my day spa business. I just realized I may have made a mistake with a "re-targeting ad" and it might not be a re-targeting ad after all. What I did was choose locations (on the island) as well as select different criteria such as "hot FB video views within 7 days" etc, so I used a custom audiences AND location settings. Hi Ben, In terms of Video Views audeinces: My question is when adding multiple videos to the custom audience, does the logic ressemble an OR or an AND between them? Meaning, if I selected 10 videos, and someone watched only 9 of them, would they still see my ad? If it's an OR, they will, but if it's an AND, they will not!

Hey man yeah it’s good enough, that’s what I did I waited a couple days to build a Retargeting audience then ran it and got a good ROAS, but if it doesn’t deliver bc it’s too low also add in another audience that could be like at least watched 25% of ur video so it makes it bigger and actually deliver . How about retargeting with catalogs where FB shows eac huser the exact same products that they previously visited or added to cart, but did not buy.
With retargeting do you have to come up with new creatives for these ‘warm’ prospects or does this process use ads already published??

Yes you can create the lookalike audience more broadly and then narrow down that targeting at the ad set level.

You won't be able to retarget those people I'm afraid. You can only do so based on your own Pixel.

No you can retarget that size audience. The larger the retargeting audience the better usually, but you can start small.

Hi I did all this uploading a list. My issue is I use a customer list, did the steps and somehow it’s yielding likes, engagement from Africa, and middle eastern countries. It makes no sense to me! Im in the US, all the zipcodes, state, country are on my csv I upload. I don’t understand what is going wrong.

Questions, my facebook custom audiences were killing it and the last two months they have slowed down a lot. I tried to create new audiences and not working. What happened. What can I do?
Sounds like you may have run into ad fatigue issues. I'd try creating more ads that look different to freshen things up.

Thanks a lot. Sure you can create a specific custom audience out of instagram followers and then exclude that audience at the ad set level.

Hi Ben, I’ve set up a retargeting audience using all website visitors. For some reason I have 0 impressions on it and I don’t think my retargeting ads have been show to anyone… why is this?
Perhaps your retargeting audience isn’t large enough? You need about 200 people minimum
@@BenHeath I’ve had 431 visitors so I hope it would be, but perahps you’re right - not all would have come from Facebook. One other thing, I have one meta ad with a 19% ctr and it’s only getting a tiny amount of the budget and has around 30 impressions. On the other hand, I have one with a 4.5% ctr with over a 1000 - why is it all going to this ad and what should I do?

Can you please tell me if I create a Facebook campaign with object to target all (new) people across my country (Croatia) to make more webshop sales, and in the same time I want that all those people would be retarget, do I need to do something special? In your video tutorial I dont understand if I put remarketing targets into my campaign, would my ad show only people that already have some interaction on my website/facebook/instagram in the past, or also new people?
Hi Ben, first of all, thank you for all you do. As far as warm audience, do I need to keep updating them? So for example if I choose “All websites visitors 180 days” do I need to update again let’s say 30 days later or does meta constantly updating those visitors automatically?

Great video Ben! How big of an audience would you recommend before starting a re-targeting campaign? Let's say if you are having 300-500 people visiting your landing page from your ads in past one week; would that be a reasonable audience before launching the re-targeting campaign?

Hey man yeah it’s good enough, that’s what I did I waited a couple days to build a Retargeting audience then ran it and got a good ROAS, but if it doesn’t deliver bc it’s too low also add in another audience that could be like at least watched 25% of ur video so it makes it bigger and actually deliver . Works for me

Hi there! I am new with creating ads. I understand that there are different types of ad campaigns- traffic, conversions, retargeting. I am struggling to understand how to run those together in a way that supplements each other. Great video! Regards to email list upload from Klaviyo, what happens if we use a customer list from our other brand that sells related products? Would this be allowed, can FB crack the data? We have a little hard time getting the new brand off the ground so I thought of using the existing data from our other brand to build the list quicker? Would love to know your opinion on this. Thanks!
