    Thank you for showing your struggle with the glaze, I’ve been working for two weeks trying to get it to do what I want. I’m gonna give the wax a shot, if that doesn’t work I’m finding a new hobby. You’re the best sister girl!

    Recently found you when exploring Dixie Bell Paint. I really like your style and taste in color blending. Learning more with each video.

    Loving your work. Honestly, in my opinion, your technique is the best and most beautiful I have found so far. Color choices are great. Please, improve video quality! Also, it would be very helpful to have the list of products used in this video in the description. I am ordering Dixie paint today. Thank you!

    Very good info thanks so much. I've used several of the Dixie belle paints and just bought some grunge glaze, so now I know exactly how to use it. I have a piece that has lots of cracks in the finish so I'm sure the glaze will help me to bring those out.

      I started with AS as well, but much prefer dixie belle, better coverage, better price point, and smoother finish. Hope you decide to give it a shot!

    Beautiful work girl! Quick question - will the steel wool remove the underlying top coat? And will the wax cure ontop of the gator hide?

    Hi Brandi, Love your work. I'm not a flipper I just do it for fun and am really a complete novice. I was wondering if you could tell me, Can I mix Dixie Clear Wax with some paint to do a layered look with some distressing. I repainted a lamp in Blueberry and would like to distress with Yankee Blue but was wondering if I could add the Yankee Blue to the clear wax to sorta kill two birds with one stone. Thank you very much.

    Do you have to clear coat or gator hide first before doing this

      You don't have to, although it makes the waxes easier to control

    Which color wax would you recommend for Sawmill Gravy painted bedside tables? Bedroom is beige and gray colors.

      Sawmill gravy looks great with French linen, hurricane gray, or gravel road

    I’m a beginner, but do I need to sand my piece first or just clean it and paint?

    • @BrushedbyBrandy
      @BrushedbyBrandy  3 роки тому

      It depends on what you are painting and what products you are using . Silk always needs a scuff sanding as do glossy or slick finishes. No one Size fits all answer, need to be able to assess your piece

    Hey from SC! Can you use only black wax or is it recommended to use black and brown?

    • @BrushedbyBrandy
      @BrushedbyBrandy  4 роки тому

      You can use only black. I usually like the depth that both give together, closer to authentic aging
