Ha ha, Kacha I have been watching you for a while now and I honestly thought you were saying 'cheap brush'. I have been crafty for years and painted all our houses, furniture etc and had never heard of a 'chip brush'. I have always just gone with good quality paint brushes. So thank you for explaining that to us. I love your accent and love listening to all you have to teach us. Thank you for your wonderful vlogs. PS - I have just ordered some 'chip brushes' from Amazon. PSS - Every time I will use them in the future, I will smile and think of Kacha.

When I can't get the right colour gilding wax I get a metallic pigment in the right shade and mix with furniture wax. Opalescent pigment also looks amazing.
Finishing up my project with this wax and going to post the video soon. Thank you!

@Kacha have you used Rub-n-buff metallic waxes? I have in 12 different metallics. Have used it on some metal accessories but wondering if it will work the same on furniture as the ones you’re using in this video.

Hello! I have a question please! I am pretty new to using chalk pain and I am in need of information about what is better to use after chalk paint a dining set, I picked charcoal and great ultra matte for the colors, but is it better to use wax, clear coat or varnish to seal? Thank you!!!

How do you clean the metallic (or any of these waxes) off your stencils? Would Mineral Spirits damage the stencils?

I love using the Gilding wax. It gives it a zing to it. What brand do you use? Also I use Dixie Belle Gemstone Amber Mousse

Kacha IF I WANTED TO PAINT MY KITCHEN CABINETS WHAT WILL BE BETTER TO USE ON THEM? CHALK PAINT OR SOMETHING ELSE? HOPE YOU CAN REPLY BACK NEED THE ADVISE II AM PAINTING THEM THIS COMING WEEK !!
If you want the easiest way to do it I would look into the all in one paints or even check in your local home depot where rust oleum sells a kitchen cabinet transformation kit. I have used it and I loved it!
Video and sound not great. But the questions from your husband and clarifications are very good. These waxes sound great to use. And even mix. You looked good and backdrop is great design.

I gilded a sage painted buffet in silver, but I think I need the warm of gold instead because I did leave some parts of the pieces stained wood. Can I gild over previously gilded parts?

Is rub n buff that you get at Michaels the same as gilding wax? I used it on some hardware a couple weeks ago and it came off on my finger. Can I seal it with spray polyurethane?
Can I use that to paint a dark trim around a mirror, Kacha? Do you recommend chalk painting the trim first as a primer, then the gilding wax? Or can I just apply the gilding wax directly onto the dark trim?
