What if my spellbook and mount page doesnt have the swap flight style spell, I owned dragonflight but never got dragonriding and now since the pre patch went live none of my characters can fly, even my druids flight form is disabled, have you encountered this issue?
I'll be doing the same thing I do in every pre-patch, meticulously setting up skill bars and talent builds for all 13 characters and 39 specializations, and then proceeding to play maybe 3 of them during the expansion.
Couple of things: 1> If you bought Epic edition (or the CE), there are two quests for pets and xmog. While you're still grinding things out, pick up these quests and get them done easily. 2> I'm working on some profession Achv and need to make some things on profession alts I never learned before. On one quest chain to unlock a Tailoring spec, the quests all say "your Warband has completed this quest already." Which sounds great. Except... even though it realizes I have done all these quests already, it doesn't unlock *ANY* of the necessary steps that are associated with those quests. Example: when I go to Suramar on my main, I have the option to equip a disguise, which was unlocked through a quest chain. You use that disguise to unlock a Tailoring spec, but even though it recognizes "my Warband has completed these quests", my Tailoring alt still doesn't have access to the disguise. This is a ***THIRTY FOUR*** part quest chain to unlock!!! So if ever there was a situation where I wanted this to work, this would be it. And... it doesn't work. So I would expect this to be very hit/miss for older content.
I think we should be able to assign flight mode per mount in the journal so we do not have to spend so much time switching between flight modes. 5 sec cast time for that is ridiculous.

@@patnoneya4098 I honestly just think it's them not wanting to overburden the system. They just strung together millions of accounts with shared rep, achievements, and other features. Before they start letting people do the same with money and items, they want to make sure it's stable.
Things that needs improvement: -The menu screen is too big, and it doesnt get smaller even if you change scaling -Needs seperation/filtering/ability to not see some characters in the character select screen. I have 40 characters... Let me not see some of them pls? Screen looks so bad 😅
I actually wrote to Blizzard in a suggestion section about this, I have Horde of every class and Alliance of ever class, across 4 different servers annoyingly so the character select screen is just a hot mess. I would love to sort by faction and have warband loudouts or something
4:48 I find the way they implemented the transition between steady and dragon riding really annoying. Under the old system you could go between a Dragon mount and a steady mount with 1 button in a few seconds and it was all automatic (click a dragon mount for dragon riding and non dragon mount for steady riding). You now click the change icon, it dismounts you, then you have to summon the mount again. It takes at least twice as long if not more
They really have a disdane for the old dragon riding way (steady flight) for some reason. In the war within, they lock it behind a quest line again like they did in dragonflight.
the first thing i did was change flying to old style for everything i never used dragonriding anyway it's pointless why are people rushing through a game like wow anyway we didn't need it before we don't need it now learn to look at your scenery and enjoy it.
@@Olanar2000NO. I really dislike the fact you are always moving with dragonflight. It is also a lot more work. I dont care about the extra speed. I do about convenience.
So happy about the warband feature. Sounds like it will make it much more appealing to try different things, because you can essentially switch to a new main without loosing anything other than some gear progression.
Hate the cast time to change flying styles. Here’s an example of why. (Including the gathering problems it causes) Nokud offensive. Dragonflying for distance. Regular flying for shorter flights and setting up for where the tank decides to go to. Large pain to lose that option.
Thinking about new quests, I just did that new quest for all the new fast riding gear sets from the dwarf in valdraken :). Never knew the quest was down there where you have to get those 50 items then the next quest requires 500 of the item and you get like 5 new riding mount transmog gear sets :). great video like always and can't wait to start the pre patch events today. As with all pre-patches, I’ll log in and check out some new talents, do the quests, and then most-importantly go to the capitol city and jump side-to-side for approximately 10-minutes before I log off.
I think some of the images were filmed in beta which is why they look normal and not broken. It’s normal, everything breaks on prepatch day. Other things will break upon release. Every time, depends on how big the changes are.
I really like the materials and items being in the Warband bank and being able to use them from there and not in your personal bags is a huge positive change
this should have been added with our garrison, be cool to see our alts walking around or working on thier profs in the garrison rather than random npcs

prepatch is always so fun, honestly its more fun to me than the expansion since i don't play all year. I play from prepatch to maybe 1 month after expansion then i play for maybe 2 weeks per year until next xpack. Its great!
So many things bugged right now. My pally cant see item icons in one specific bag. My mage cant use dragon breath but has a talent for it. My hunter went to kill Sylvanas and found out she s a pacifist now and doesn't want to drop any loot in SoD.
Heyo I want to point this out. Last night I went on a baby that wasn't in my warband. As soon as I completed a quest, I got a message saying that my warband rep with dragonscale had DECREASED by 2300. I did another quest, yes got a decrease message. I moved baby to warband and started gaining rep.
Blizzard really used the most panic inducing message possible to placehold the warband bank. Even with 2FA, it felt plausible as I have multiple WoW accounts on one Bnet account.

Switching flying styles is a hugh penalty for mining/herbing since the switch button is on a 5 second cast and it cast's it on all your flying mounts. No more switching flying styles in 1.5 sec. So for me that brilliant idea is a fail.
Nonono. It's perfectly ok. I tried this as well and it felt but UNTIL I tried it on Druid. So ONLY get gathering professions on druid. Like gathering herbs and mining on druid and your good. Everyone else can continue to suffer instead of milking this switch button.

I think with all these updates, and the warband system making the game even more complex, blizzard should spend a little bit of time thinking about how to bring new players on board smoothly. A new player would feel overwhelmed at this point

Annoyingly, the changes just mean that any character can collect the armour appearances for other armour types, but they still cannot use them unless their class can use them. So no rogues looking like they're wearing paladin armour or anything like that unfortunately.
@@craigkenny37 Well if i understood correctly then having a paladin and a rogue in a warband gives the rogue all and every paladin/plate armor for tmog except for specific class looks im pretty sure. All i want is to be able to mog artifact weapons on other classes tbh.

One of the smoother prepatch experiences for me, yet some things still bother me. There's too much scale difference between the various UI elements. Also, the new warband camp should be centered to the available space (not including the character pane) instead of the entire screen.

yes it will unfortunately become unavailable as far as we know now. But you can still get similar looking reskin mounts from the previous expansion with a bit of grinding
Those work diffrent, because they are legendary you need to finish black temple with a dh when TBC has that timeevvent, i have mine on my DK but after finishing what's needed to tmog them i can now mog them on my DH even tho they are in my DK's baggs

@@WayneWatson1 it's not much of a quest line: campaign, level to 80, land recognition. All quests just about are accessible without flying.
Dragonriding is better in every aspect anyway old flight could be removed and nothing would be lost

Yes finally, i remember quitting BFA and shadowlands because i didnt feel like doing all the renow/artifact xp from scratch on other characters.

prepatch is always so fun, honestly its more fun to me than the expansion since i don't play all year. I play from prepatch to maybe 1 month after expansion then i play for maybe 2 weeks per year until next xpack. Its great!
Nobody seems to be talking about the fact that boosted characters can now earn heritage armor.
Did you level them in remix and unlocked on regular retail? Because that worked before, even with trial characters.

Wasn't Chromie Time supposed to be unlocked for Levels 1-70? It seems to stuck at level 61 still.
Campaign with MoP remix is broken on the rogue rescue section you can't continue because the monkey mobs kill you before you finish.
So glad you early adopters are going to try out the new features and weed out all the bugs before I participate.

You shouldn't have to because of the warband feature. Most players I know (and myself included) only completed it on our mains.

It's a bank not a bag. You have to withdraw it.

@SignsofKelani For the Voyaging Wilderling's Harness, You should have said Normal awakened raids does NOT include LFR Normal awakened raids. I am so disappointed I bothered trying to get this mount :( Casuals are locked out of too many things!

I was under the impression we would be able to transmog different gear types from our collection currently? Or is only what I pick up moving forward?
Annoyingly, the changes just mean that any character can collect the armour appearances for other armour types, but they still cannot use them unless their class can use them. So no rogues looking like they're wearing paladin armour or anything like that unfortunately.
@@craigkenny37 Well if i understood correctly then having a paladin and a rogue in a warband gives the rogue all and every paladin/plate armor for tmog except for specific class looks im pretty sure. All i want is to be able to mog artifact weapons on other classes tbh.
It seems odd that the actual currency (gold) is not transferrable in the currency tab, but should be via the warband bank :)

Do you have to do The Harbinger quest line on each alt to get the Radiant Echos quest line next week when it hits? Really hoping I don't, that would really suck.
You shouldn't have to because of the warband feature. Most players I know (and myself included) only completed it on our mains.

The pre-patch event isn’t very friendly to returning players if you need to complete a quest line form the previous expansion.

1 to 70 in Chromie time also doesn't work, I stepped into Chromie time on a level 60 alt and it booted me out after just one dungeon run.
I was actually wondering if warband bank is even working i was like isn't it down maybe it will be up by the 30th when the new event starts. Also i didnt know if you use steady flying some mounts are still at 310speed while like dragon riding mounts are like 410. I figured that out the second day of patch.
I read that you need to have completed the Emerald Dream campaign to be able to take part in the pre-patch event. Is that true? Seems a bit rubbish for returning players
One of the smoother prepatch experiences for me, yet some things still bother me. There's too much scale difference between the various UI elements. Also, the new warband camp should be centered to the available space (not including the character pane) instead of the entire screen.
transfering currency is bugged and warband bank is turned off because of a massive bug that needs to be fixed
If you didnt play all of DF will you have to go back to unlock all the points for dragon riding?
Is the Harbinger story line account wide to be able to do the event next week?

Hi, I'm a new player (started 2-3 days ago) and really want the mount at 7:48, was eyeing it out before I even gave in and downloaded the game. Are you saying this will become unavailable after The War Within releases? Sorry, I'm not really sure how all this works.
yes it will unfortunately become unavailable as far as we know now. But you can still get similar looking reskin mounts from the previous expansion with a bit of grinding
It's cool to get away to open warbands bank but 2 hour cool down is a little to hight and right now it's broken lol

It's annoying it doesnt work for all transmog, still have warglaives in my Paladins bank I cant get the mog for qwq
Those work diffrent, because they are legendary you need to finish black temple with a dh when TBC has that timeevvent, i have mine on my DK but after finishing what's needed to tmog them i can now mog them on my DH even tho they are in my DK's baggs
I like the leveling change for alts.
@SignsOfKelani The Camera Option were on per Default as you said, but i tryed your commmand and now it doenst work any more. I Switch the 1 to 0 an back.. but it doenst work for me anymore.
