I was browsing thru UA-cam today and said to myself: Why can’t anybody just build the fastest and baddest M2 on the Ring? And have Misha do a video on it? Voila! Here you have it!
I was thinking last night about buying a M2 on Assoluto Racing and tune it to beat my current time record at the Ring and replace my current Nurburgring car as well. Now, I'm more inspired to do that haha.
I grew up lusting after classic cars but have really enjoyed watching your videos about modified machines; Team Schirmer, Rennsport etc. Great to see the Brits getting in on it too, that M2 looks quality! Edited because I nearly forgot to mention Herr Weber’s M2 too!

@@RK1FX you need your eyes checked look at the front grill, an N55 Engined M2 wouldn’t make past 500 with a bigger turbo, and besides Misha clearly says TURBOS a the beginning clearly referring to the fact that this car has a S55 engine

I didnt expect this speed, it flies low - not drive on the track ! :) Seriously serious speed and it looks that is maximum possible on this track, faster than this car could not stay on road - tires would not have grip ! :D Car is already jumping up and down, amost vibrating... wow ! What a serious machine.... No matter Im not BMW fan or who actually have made car from where they started ( I believe that they would made Lada 1200 or Trabant exacly same fast LOL) and actually Im impressed not how fast but how car lay on track, how it handle and turns with fantastic brakes too. Impressive ! I wish them good luck and I hope we will see car when it will be finished. Cheers

Man, i dig it. All the M2 track builds coming out are fantastic. Honestly, i'd define the M2 more as the modern M3 than the current/upcoming M3/4s... Been thinking though, with the BMW M2 CS Racing cars coming in at 90k out the door, it must be fairly tough market for a non-street-legal M2. Between cost of the car and the parts, let alone installation, i'm not sure how one could beat the M2 CS Racing in track-car value for money.

The x-bow have less power/weight than the M2 so it somehow show the value of low weight, especially in every corner, braking-turning. (X-bow 790 kg / 240 hp = 3,3 kg/hp vs M2 1390 kg/ 540 hp = 2.55 kg/hp). Historic comparision with porsche 550 vs V12 Ferraris =)
I don't consider myself to be car fanatic. I'm into roadbikes, the ones with the 2 pedals. But you had me with "Quite a lot of the car is carbon fiber." That is one beautifully shaped piece of carbon.

The work on the rear axle is amazing, For an FR car to have almost no oversteer and a little bit of understeer. Nicely balanced car for the track. I love it. It looks clean too, not overdone.
Tim was a good shout as the development driver. I imagine he knows a thing or two about the 'ring and driving fast. The M2 looks promising. Interested to see if it gets the lap record. The evidence does point to that fact.
This channel is by far the most modest and by far the most enjoyable for true petrol heads.

Usually i like the stock bmw look out of the factory but wow this is done just right. GOOD JOB ON THIS ONE GUYS!

It's a throwback to the E46 M3. You can tell from the way the louvered front fenders and hood vents are.
