I just want to be sure, so the link you gave me, that heater will swap out with the Hcalory SS2 model, and I will still be able to power it with the house electricity? I’m not set up for 12 volt that’s my concern. Thanks again.
@@jacktripper5911yes you will be able to continue to use your AC to Dc adapter that came with the SS2. What’s going on with your heater? There is also this heater it’s a bit more in price and what you see in this video, same heater just red and ships sooner. amzn.to/4admYwc
It’s my only heat source right now, when I leave the house I shut it down like if I’m just running to the store. I came back fired it up and it threw a E-10 code just blowing out cold air where the heat is supposed to come out and white smoke out of the exhaust. Tried again, same thing. I jumped on YT and everyone was replacing the temperature sensor. I have a vevor that I bought (still in the box) and I used the sensor out of that, still same thing as before, cold air white smoke E-10 code. Watched one video and the guy said if the sensor didn’t fix it then it was probably the motherboard. So I started shopping for those and hit a wall. My numbers on my MB reads (12V 22UL STD ALT) I can’t find it anywhere. I googled the number itself and a Reddit thread came up, the guy said he couldn’t find it either, there were pics in the thread same number as mine, same shape, and same color blue and same layout on the electronic board itself. But he said his was from a Vevor. Tried looking up the MB through Vevor, and that was a dead end. I’ve contacted HC, but no response. Then I came across your video with the swap out thinking maybe I could do that. I still have 1 of my SS2 running, the two of them are about the same age and use. But if it quits I’m screwed. Where I’m at it’s 6 degrees right now and going to be -1 by 8am. As of now I’m fine but not having a back up heater in this cold is like a woodpecker in the back of my mind. I really like these SS2 models but not being able to get replacement part I need isn’t good. I see there’s many other parts out there and available, but this particular number of MB is nowhere to found. I’ve been looking for 2 days now, and I’m no further ahead. Sorry for the book, just wanted you to see the whole picture.
@@DanielLevecque I agree the pump can be less loud. have you heard the new pump in the TB2 heater ? Its quite, and i believe it’s the same one in the F1 kit. Unfortunately I didn’t swap it in this video, when I should have so we can see the difference. 🍻
I would not like that thermostat on off feature especially not hooked up to grid power. The startup and shutdown use a lot of electricity. I think it best to run continuous and adjust for comfort for just a little more diesel.
@@martineakes5143 The SS2 is a solid heater no reason to replace now as the enclosure will most likely outlast the heater. This video is just me sharing options for those that may need a replacement heater for a pre owned enclosure or installation, and how I easily swap in a new heater using the F1 diesel heater kit.

Do you know where to get parts for these HC SS2 models?

The only issue I have with the original is the pump is louder than I like. I would not tear it apart as it works very well other than that.

This is true, but if you were on the grid and have a pretty well insulated space, it’s a good option to have. 👍🏼
Trying to understand what makes this upgrade worthwhile at 129 bucks. My SS2 has about 2000 trouble free hours on it.

@@ATEMOFFROAD Fair enough. Thanks for the video.
There is no 8kw, because the fuel pump is only 22ml, same like in 2-5 kw heaters. To get more heat, you need burn more fuel:)
Yes, I say 8kw as it’s advertised this way on Hcalorys listing. 🍻
