      Thanks for the compliment and the question. It is a warning that your auxiliary battery is not charging. If you have been on a good 45 minute drive at highway speeds that should have charged up the battery, if your still getting the message after a drive like that, then there is a problem, probably a weak battery. So it would be wise to have a mechanic or dealership double check it for you. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

    Is the oil temp display on the vehicle infotainment screen supposed to display numerical digits as well as the gauge? I feel like it used to and now it doesn't... maybe due to a software update, or an I just misremembering?

    Is there a way to activate the wifi hotspot in this model my ucconect just like yours doesn’t show wifi or hotspot

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  5 днів тому +1

      Thanks for the question. Yes there is just remember you will have to sign up for a data plan as part of the process. Basically you need to click on Apps, then WiFi Hotspot from there follow the onscreen directions. If you encounter any problems, you may have to look up Jeep connect, purchase your data plan first (as it may not allow you to purchase via the infotainment screen). And then go through those steps above, but it’s definitely possible. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

    How do you check automatic transmission fluid in 2019 limited 2.4?

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  10 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for the question. Typically there’s a dipstick near the back of the engine, but I believe that this is a “sealed for life” transmission, meaning there’s no way to check it and Jeep feels like it should never have to be changed, although a mechanics garage could check it if necessary. I also think there might be a transmission plug in the bottom of the engine that can be removed, and you would then use your finger in the hole method to see if it’s low- but I’m not exactly sure that is correct. the car bluetooth is not showing up on my cell phone,

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  2 роки тому +2

      Ok thanks for the reply. Couple of thoughts here, is your Bluetooth turned on on your phone, did you scroll all the way to the bottom of the Bluetooth list on your phone (new ones show up at the bottom of the list) and finally, is your phone’s Bluetooth compatible with the vehicle? Older phones will sometimes not connect. If your phone is no more than 3-4 years old it should work. If you have done all these things already, then you might try and see if there is an update for your phone, or an update for vehicles infotainment system. As a last resort, you can reset your vehicles infotainment system and then try pairing it. To reset your infotainment system to its defaults turn the key to the on position but don’t start the vehicle. Next press the hot and cold buttons simultaneously until a menu pops up on the screen. From that menu, select reset to factory defaults. Now wait about 30 seconds as it reboots (like a computer) You should now be able to start your vehicle and try pairing your phone again. Hope these ideas are helpful and thanks for watching!

    When I’m driving and I get a call on my Bluetooth connected iPhone, the ringer volume is so loud that it startles me. Is there a way to lower the ringer volume through Uconnect or another Jeep setting? I’ve tried lowering the Uconnect volume when the phone is ringing, but the ringer goes back to the previous loud setting when the next call comes in.

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the question. Your not the only one with this issue. Here is the advice Jeep gave
      1. Reboot the phone.
      2. Make sure that your Bluetooth is connected. Play some music and make sure that the volume on the phone is all the way up. This is just to verify the Bluetooth connection.
      3. Make sure for the moment that your phone mute switch is NOT in the mute (orange marking) position.
      4. On your iPhone -Go to Settings/Sound and Haptics
      5. Turn OFF the slider switch labeled "Change with buttons, but above that move the volume slider all the way to the right.
      6. While connected to your Uconnect, place an incoming call to your phone from a different phone.
      7. While the phone is ringing, turn the radio volume control on the dash to your desired volume. You should hear the phone ringing.
      Hope that helps, thanks for watching and don’t forget to hit that subscribe button!

To do so on your phone turn on Bluetooth and scroll to the bottom of the list of Bluetooth devices. Then on your cars infotainment screen, click on the phone icon. You may need to also click on add a phone. Then on your phones screen look for the name of the vehicle or manufacturer to show up in the Bluetooth list of devices. Follow the directions on your phone and infotainment screen. Now you phone should be hooked to the car via Bluetooth and texting should now work. Hope that helps thanks for watching!

If you go into your phone and save those 4 contacts as a group, then go into your Bluetooth settings on your phone and click on sync contacts, but then if you look down a little from that sync button you will probably see that several items already have a blue checkmark beside them, uncheck them all and then click on the group of 4 contacts you created, and a checkmark should show up next to that group. And that should be the only item that’s got a checkmark by it. Now when you connect your phone to the vehicle it should import just those 4 contacts. If it doesn’t sync for some reason you may want to tell your phone to “forget this device” then resync the phone to the vehicle. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

      Ok so I’d agree that it probably is not a fault with the vehicle. I’m mostly a iPhone user, so I’m not sure you can actually roll back to a previous version on a Google phone, so I would try to either update the Android auto app on your phone, or see if your vehicle has a software update available, if it does, install it and see if either one of these ideas will fix the issue. One other idea is to try and update to Android 10 on your phone, as that will bypass the need for the Android auto app, and perhaps that will work better. Hope that gives you some ideas

      Thanks for the question. Depending on what transmission you have in your Jeep, you either do nothing (Quadra-trac I) or there’s a button you can push or rotate to set the 4x4 mode (Quadra-trac II). If you have a Quadra-Trac I then 4x4mode is automatically on all the time, no need for any input from driver. If you have the Quadra-Trac II then you have leave it in the “auto” position (dial in the center console area) to have 4x4 automatically on. But, when needed you can switch to 4x4 lo with a push of a button (I believe you will need to be stopped with transmission in N to make this switch) plus you have several other 4x4 modes the Quadra-trac I does not have. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
