I have a problem with my Hotas controller. For biger planes i find it complicated because of need 🎮 for aditional controls with Hotas

@@EZ_Case Hi... Nice to hear from you, yes getting there slowly, one step forward, 2 back... Really enjoying it though. I use UA-cam a lot as a reference point... The Xbox controller was difficult for me (I've had a stroke) so I bought a Hotas flight controller, keyboard and mouse which have made a massive difference for me...All aspects have been a steep learning curve...I keep forgetting things, however I wish I bought the simulator years ago.. hope you are doing well with yours ? ..... Mark, definitely the ‘go to’ place for everyone getting to grips with MSFS2020 XBox or PC. I used to fly gliders then 3 axis microlights. Decided to wait for a Series X to be available as I just don’t need another PC. Think I’m going to be watching and rewatching your many super videos! Thank you.

Great video i just downloaded this and bought the su 35, turning those name tags on was a great help but does that also show ai real time flights as well as players.

Do you need to purchase Xbox gold to fly online?
I'm a bit on the fence as to which XBox to consider. Some reviews say there is little difference between the S and the X and that the S at 1080p is just fine for most people. I would be interested to hear your view on this in future videos with a comparison. At this time an XBox X is hard to find so if I go that way I might have a bit of a wait. I've watched several of your videos and I have to say they are top notch.. Great job and many thanks. I'm hitting the subscribe button.
Hi Michael, I would recommend the series X as it has more memory for both CPU and GPU, so to some degree it is better future proofed than the series S. If you only dipping in and out occasionally the S will be a good budget choice however. Availability is a nightmare...and certainly a factor.
@@SimHangerFS I decided to get the series s then when availability is better I’ll sell my series s for like $250 and buy the series X
@@Chrisp707- honestly you get much better frame rates on series S as its 1080p. Series x insists on 4k so get much more stuttering. Id much prefer smoother 1080 than a stuttery 4k
@@burnsyblues yeah very true. Then you can get a good 4K tv to upscale it and still get good frame rates

Thank you for this video. How can I change the altitude when I choose a random start location from air? The game always starts at a really high altitude.
Put in an arrival point for your flight….any will do and a navlog option will appear, in there you can choose your altitude.

10:48 On third-party, non-Marketplace mods (such as Hype's Airbus H135), I was hoping that they would be installable via a hacky method such as the one apparently used for Minecraft (see UA-cam videos) using My Files Explorer. I can't find an installation directory for MSFS, however, on my Xbox Series X, though most other apps/games do have visible folders. What is going on here? Is the MSFS folder encrypted and therefore somehow invisible? I'm happy to accept that installation of third-party MSFS mods on the Xbox is impossible if that's the case; I'd just like to understand why.

@@SimHangerFS I just wonder what the mechanism is whereby they make the folder invisible. I'm new to Xbox (I bought mine purely to play MSFS), so I'm not familiar with the architecture. (If anyone else knows, I'd appreciate your input.) I have asked Hype on Twitch if they'll be making their helicopters available in the Marketplace, and they said they would like to, but it doesn't sound as if it's at all imminent. Anyway, Mr SimHanger, you're my favourite MSFS knowledge resource, so I'll be here for everything else you have to say.
I really regret buying an xbox x for fs2020, having all types of online/offline issues. The entire reason I went the xbox rout is to not have so many technical issues to deal with. For example right now its saying I am "online", yet when I load a flight I am clearly on offline mode as the graphics look like theyre from FS2004
So, you have your Xbox series x how do you get MSN’s 2020 onto it?

Great video. Thank you. I do have a question though. I noticed that even in the top package it said 40 airports. How can this be enough to see the world when even just the U.S. has 50 states and one would hope for multiple airport choices in each state? Sorry if this is a dumb question.
It has over 40k…40 thousand airports 😀

I see myself as a person mostly interested in finding an airport somewhere in the world by some location I want to fly around and look at then flying long distances in commercial craft. "I think", because of videos like this one, focusing on the Xbox, that I can do what I want without going the more expensive PC route. Thanks again.
Hi...I'm trying to adjust everything with the controller and it's so difficult to get it right on the correct spot. I know you're using a Logitech mouse and keyboard. So if one of these, do you put the little receiver part in the port? And then restart the console will it automatically recognize the mouse and keyboard? I think if I had at least a mouse life would be much more enjoyable with this amazing game.
Yes, put the transmitter into a USB port.

hi. . having problems using the mouse it won’t work after loading the game . any suggestions?
I am using a wireless keyboard and mouse, cheapest in Logitech range....no problem. Yours may not be compatible for some reason.
Question if you can help. I am new to msfs xbox x. I am trying to use the mouse in the cockpit to use the instruments but it is telling me to hold down left mouse to lock. Nothing is happening. Thanks again for all your wondering videos. Hope to hear back from you soon
Under general options, assistance change your mouse interaction from lock to legacy mode.

What is Flightsim Credits and how do you use them, this is so confusing to understand as to how to buy a single add-on. Every time I click on " Buy and Download " it doesn't do anything just a failed message, do you use an Xbox Giftcard or a Mastercard as I clearly don't understand how this works.
Hi, just like buying on line, use your credit card. The name credits is confusing, it’s just a straight purchase.
Hi watching your Video on the flight simulator for xbox x not sure if you can answer this but when my sim does update when I try to play it the next day it freezes and tells me I need to make more space on the disc any information on this would be grateful thanks
I assume you have other games installed, you need to delete some to free up space. If not then your drive may be faulty, contact Xbox support.
@SimHangerFS thanks for replying no I only have the sim has the xbox series x is a new one only with that game I downloaded the upgrades and it updated a few days ago but know I can't play it because it's telling me to make space on the disk
@@alanroyal8406 Sounds like a fault on your storage drive. Contact Xbox support for advice.

I get the Xbox Series S, because I cant get the X. But the Series S works very fine . I am happy. The graphics is wonderfull. In my area I can fly and see the landmarks as streets, supermarkets, little lakes…. I found my house and it is the same typ as in real. ;-) Greetings from Ostfriesland in germany. My home is only 3 km from „my“ airport: EDWS

Why do the graphics looks so bad up close smh
UA-cam is only showing at 1080p resolution at best, and is often defaulting at 720p or lower on playback. Recorded in 4K.

Just got my new Xbox series x and flight sim, the game keeps freezing in the menu and the game play for about 10 seconds and then I you can move the cursor around for about 20 seconds, before it freezes again and again. it keeps doing this and have uninstalled the game but the same thing happens. Anyone know what could be doing this?
Not sure, check your mouse/keyboard is Xbox compatible. Good internet connection is required unless in off-line mode.
Thanks for your reply, I installed an Xbox one game and a Xbox 360 game that work perfectly which was a relief as it makes me believe it could be the game after trying many things to resolve the issue without success so I arranged to send the game back to Amazon and reordered from another Amazon seller, let’s hope this can be ok when it arrives in a few days.
I would make a second channel to seperate the gamers on Xbox from the Simmers on the PC Mark. This does not concern us on the Pc that will grow and upgrade and leave the Xbox gamers without VR behind in power / graphics with VR.

@@SimHangerFS The longer you wait the more followers you may loose or more difficult to get subs on the new Xbox MSFS channel. But that's my 50 cent. Not a pro. Just my opinion. I'll take the Xbox stuff with pc simming info np.
Why should we need this (ahem) Xbox/PC Apartheid, when we're all using essentially the same software? You PC "simmers" just got a huge performance increase because you're using the same codebase that was improved for us Xbox "gamers". If we're flying the same aircraft in the same world, according to the same flight models, why should we be categorised differently? If you prick us, do we not bleed aviation fuel? The performance of the Xbox Series X is on a par with that of the systems used by many of the PC users of MSFS, and VR is not an integral part of the sim, no matter how important it might be to you. If Mark wants to post a video about MSFS VR on the PC, why can't he just post it on the same channel? We Xbox plebs will not explode with jealousy.
@@SparkySven , I understand your point, but my channel is about flightsim regardless of platform. I didn’t have a separate channel for my Xplane vids for example. As said earlier, still under consideration. 👍

Dumb evaluation.
OMG this game is a hot mess, even after the latest patch, from lagging to crashes to horrific resolutions of ground areas like buildings and bushes and roads. It looks like a freaking sandpit once u r on the ground and dont' tell me it's a flight simulator hence the ground detail isn't a factor, bullshit end of story. Yesterday online MP wasn't working when u opt for live players or all players. Group option was working but not a 100%. When u and a friend fly, once goes missing for a few seconds and then appears far away again due to lagging. How can this be a 10/10 review game, the reviewers were clearly paid to give such high scores. How can u prøvide perfects scores to such a mess, seriously. Oh yes and to top it of at times the Active Pause icon disappears for half a day to a full day as well. This game is a total mess, it remains a pc game that was rushed off for XB, hence we're experiencing all this rubbish wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Worst game i've ever seen. Mines been locked up for a few months now.
On the main menu there is only the world on the right... Left is not discovery flights :(
Enjoyed the many improvements, loading speed,etc.
BUT all my controller settings were disturbed, all changed,
For instance when going to the « external view » the camera was circling the plane at great speed..
It took me some time to correct this
In previous updates I had a similar experience,
