Laguzzi said they found their son above the luggage compartment where plastic had broken off, and her husband was able to retrieve him.

If mother is a surgeon she should have the sense to keep her two year old buckled in!
How is it not clear “How he ended up there” Seriously
This is why all children should be in their own seat with a seat belt or some kind of child seat.
Yeah 2 year old won't fit in the current airplane seats. Definitely need to provide child seats. It's crazy this hasn't become a regulation yet
Have y ever flown? Try buckling a ch... in a seat for 8 hours.
@@SL-lz9jr that is the problem, I think air lines should have some kind of booster or seat for young children. They have them for cars just something is better than what they have now, nothing.
they make those seatbelts for a reason.
It's an 8 hour flight, there was no indication of increased turbulence otherwise the pilot would have instructed that. Clearly, y have never flown before.
Seat belts would have prevented that!
I'm suer everyone on that flight knew that. Thing is, it's not practical to keep seatbelts on at all times during a flight. This likely came without warning.
It’s the same as a car. Unless you need to get up to use the bathroom it should be on. The announcement even says it is recommended that it stays on while you are seated even thought they turn off the light. For this EXACT REASON.
So was the 2 year old not wearing a seat belt
I was the crazy parent who hauled a car seat onto the plane and buckled my kid into it. I'd recommend it to avoid being on the news.
I always keep my belt on unless I am going to the loo. When my kids were little, they had the baby seat belts on attached to me, and it was tough tits to the other passengers when they ( the worst being the youngest) cried.
Worse case scenario is a negative G turbulence event while taking a number 2 😫
lil bro became luggage in a second, quick transition from being a passenger.
This title is wrong
Ummmmm, why wasn't he wearing a seat belt?
Because his mother was stupid.
Have y ever flown? Seatbelts are not required for the entire flight. Pilot will typically tell y if they will enter turbulence. This one came without warning.
@@xx133the announcement also says seatbelts are recommended while seated for that exact reason. Unless you need to get up to go to the bathroom.
@@vagirl19 Here’s the thing, people are moving about during that time. Grabbing things from luggage, bathroom, etc. drinks and food are being served, etc. when this sort of turbulence happens.
Remember that there are 200 people on the plane. So also recognize that when this sort of thing occurs unexpectedly luggage, carts, laptops, everything are thrown about. 5-7 people likely didn’t have seatbelts on, which amounts to 3-4% of the passengers, the rest likely were likely str… with items flying about. Also, consider the staff.
So no, this isn’t an individual problem. It could happen to anyone. Also, it practical for a 5 year old to be strapped down for 8 hours straight. It doesn’t occur that often.
The last thing I’d like to mention is that spontaneous turbulence is more frequent today due to the heating environment. So ultimately, there needs to be a systemic solution to this because it will only get more frequent over time.
@@xx133 - hahahahaaaaa. Of course I've flown, so I know that the pilot is completely aware when turbulence is imminent and certainly would have turned on the 'seat belt' sign. 😜
@1:39 If the kid is that big now that he's two I can't wait to see him when he's a grown up man.
2 yr old needs a seat with seat belt
At no time during this report did they mention the name of the airline or the flight number. Basic details to leave out of a professional news piece. SMH!!
…the people that are wearing their seatbelts don’t get hurt, unless someone who’s not wearing a seatbelt, lands on top of them…
How about putting on a seatbelt when seated. It really is not that hard to figure out.
Not everyone was seated. it's not like a car. wearing a seatbelt 100% of the time for 8 hour plane flights isn't practical. Also, this was unexpected. Usually there is a warning from the pilot.
@xx133
I have flown across the Atlantic at least 20 times, and my seat belt is always on except when going to the restroom. It is loose, not tight, allowing me to move freely.
Turbulence happens and should be expected. If she or her husband would have been holding onto him or better yet, if he had been sitting with a seat belt it wouldn't have happened.
I do.
Not play games when it comes to flying.I wear my seat belt entire time.I am so anxious.I can't relax.I'm sure is heck not sleeping.I take it off once to go to the bathroom and put it right back on. Turbulence is to be expected to a degree, but the fact this plane just dropped out of the air. It's frightening. I hope that is being thoroughly investigated
I bet they flew right over Beryl as it formed in the Atlantic.
Most people learn lessons the hard way 🙄
This is why I will never fly anywhere
Great, then you can walk to London and Tokyo. There are probably 40,000 flights in the US alone everyday, mostly with zero incidents and you won’t fly due to one incident thousands of miles away. Great logic. 🤨😏
Flying is the safest mode of transportation there is. Even safer than riding in a vehicle.

Really? The brand new Boeing planes have had doors fall off, wheels fall off.
@@mariahewitt9787 in 2023, 41,000 people died in the US in car accidents. Less than 5 people died in commercial aviation in the US in 2023, and there were approximately 22 million flights. I don’t know what more proof you need that flying is extremely safe. 🤷🏾♂️
Good. More room for me. ✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️
Parents need to buy their children a seat and use a car seat if the child is the age that needs a carseat. Make the child stay belted in for the whole flight.
Home come people do not learn. The Keyword is simple "SEATBELT"
Simple fact can change everything your seatbelt MUST BE FASTENeD… no other way .. 2 yo must have a sat for themselves…stop blaming turbulences…
SEATBELT‼️‼️
Do the pilots do this on purpose to teach passengers a lesson about seat belts 🤔
No they wouldn’t as it would cost the airlines too much money for the medical expenses, repairs to the aircraft and compensation to the passengers, not to mention costs incurred to diverting to another airport, as well as the negative media coverage. Definitely not worth it for the airline.
No. Spontaneous turbulence has been increasing over the years due to the heating environment. Pilots actually care about their passengers and staff. They have an dedicated indicator on the plane in front of every seat letting people know when they need to put on their seatbelt if the pilot had a heads up.
It's not like turbulence can be seen smh
@@madreep exactly, the pilots usually do know when they are going to enter turbulence and warn the passengers, but it’s not 100%
It is the end times. I would not fly ANYWHERE. Nothing is going to be the same until the tribulation is over. ✝️ Jesus is the only way.
