Common sense 40k diamonds + 60k watch =100k value , no one will buy that watch iced out for 100k , so now your stuck becaz you can take the 40k diamonds back out to resell for 40k but now your 60k watch is full of holes ? The dealer said the car was worth less than book value because the head rest and center console had after market tvs. Plus he said I had to remove the rims... Trax was correct. Nico Leonard admittedly knows nothing about hip-hop culture or hip-hop jewelry. What Trax is saying is not from the perspective of a "watch collector," anyway. He is coming from the perspective of a hip-hop jeweler, someone Cardi B would come and see for an iced out watch. The point is, from a watch collector perspective, they might not value the diamonds at all, and only look at the value of the watch with the holes in it. But, another rapper like Cardi B. would pay 100k for that watch, not just because it is iced out, but now it's an iced out watch previously owned by Cardi B. Nico has to stay in his lane and stay away from commenting on hip-hop style pieces. That's the point Trax was making.

Watches can be a great way to have immense value later in life. If you have a proper Rolex or Patek you will never be poor.
So out of boredom I'm going to start a watch collection for myself. The plan is to buy 2 in each price range. Starting in the $50 range up to $10k range max. It's going to be a 5 year project. At the end of it I will see if I want to go higher into the $50k and up..

Trax's lie isn't in saying the watch plus the diamonds is over 100k. His lie is in the statement that it's 40K worth of diamonds. No chance when he probably buys them off of diamond cutter's chips they sweep off their floor and throw them away. That's his big lie.

I will probably never buy one either, if I wanna look at time I just look at my phone, as for accessories eh, I grew up in Eastern Europe. I value money differently but also know not to make myself a target. That being said if I was gifted a nice watch I'd probably wear it on special occasions but otherwise nah
