The island boys are living proof that stamping out bullying was a bad thing.
Hahahahah truuuuueee!!
Yes bullying kept the pecking order correctly “tuned”
😂😂😂😂😂
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahhahaha
Ehh I’d rather have two corny ass rappers than a school shooter although bullying in quantities is necessary 😂
If this comment becomes in the top 4, Nico has to do the Island Boy haircut
good luck m8
:") Happy to receive the set btw! thanks
It's in top 5 currently
@@d3athnyxtv69 Let's make it top 1!
Sowwy nico time to go to the barber

Grant deserves it, high end snake oil salesman. Same category as Dan the bear slayer and Mr. "here in my garage". I got fish.......
11:05, right on the nail. I was never truly a watch person, I actually hated wearing things on my wrist. My Apple Watch changed that because of its practicality, I now wear it everyday and I buy new bands and cases for style purposes. It brought me into the watch world which in change led to me watching your videos Nico!
I've seen people wear an Apple Watch on one wrist and a "real" watch on the other. They're so different I don't think it looks goofy.
@@MakerInMotiondef looks goofy
I’m the opposite, I love these videos but I’m more of a practical type. I don’t wanna downgrade on functionality but still enjoy seeing a nice watch.
GODTIER content and even a giveaway of a cleaning set for our hublots, what a legend.
he will chase you to hell if he sees this comment
Funny comment!
I wish i could collect some Good watches
Random and i get it nice
😂😂
When Kevin O Leary said Grand Seiko was good value for money, he didn’t mean it kept its value. He meant you get a lot for what you pay for compared to other brands AKA “bang for your buck”
Well, if the majority of people think in this way, it would at least keep its value (price) a bit better. Nobody expects every watch to appreciate like 50 or 100% but losing 50% after leaving the store, not sure who'd like that.
@@mkm6073 which GS do you have in mind that drops 50% leaving the store? And for the record, I know there’s been instances of some GS watches appreciating in value
@@mkm6073 Do you own and drive a car? If so then you know where I am going with this. It's not always about value retention, but rather enjoying the product and actually buying the watch to wear and keep. Not just flipping like the volatile hype culture we are in currently.
@@mkm6073 someone who truly loves the watch rather than it just being an investment...
@@mkm6073 if you your first thought of buying a watch is about retention value, most probably you aren't enjoying the watch. Nothing wrong with that if you are purchasing it for investment but there are others like us whom are enthusiast, we enjoy wearing them and looking at them. Selling them would be the last thing on our mind.
Nico is such a legend, one of the only honest people on social media, he has a passion for his craft and his honest opinions are always welcome. His videos are actually informing and interesting content. It makes me proud when an Irish man represents us so well
I honestly didn’t know you were doing services and repairs, it would be our pleasure to see videos about you doing them, good job Nico!
he talked about his backstory on a podcast one time
I would love one of those pride and pinion kits to keep my Hublot nice and clean which is hard because it's a piece of shit
The only proper way You should clean a Hublot is to clean it with a toilet paper after You clean your as* hole with it.
Damnit you beat me to it
I love you my boy
Omg your energy is to real I’m here and saw u on DDE and tell all my friends about you but this just me trying to say wow Awsome videos and life my guy
Did you write that comment to get roasted bro?
Bro these edits are getting better and better. Props to the editor for all the memes he squeezes in :D
I’m not even a watch collector but you’ve got me hooked. Great work man
I'm absolutely a "Watches under $1,000" guy, and I love both my Hamilton automatics. I was thinking that I'd put Tissot on similar grounds for "value for money", but maybe not. Tissot doesn't have the same name cachet. But for something a bit lower price point, maybe. I miss those good old PR50 stainless quartz leather strap watches for $100. Was easily the best watch for the money back in the late 90's.
is fossil a good watch brand
@@calivbz Generally speaking, you get what you pay for, so if you aren't paying for much, you won't be getting much. But as a fashion watch, they're acceptable quality for their price point. Stick to their all stainless case offerings and you'll tend to do better with them.
can we give a hats off to nico for single handedly inspiring a fair few people to get into the watch game, including myself.
recently started servicing and repairing watches and im hoping to take it a little further than family and friends in the future
Love nico 4L
island boys ftw
One thing i will say about Grand Seiko is that make amazing dials and game changing movements for a good price. Not every watch needs to be an investment that you have to turn a profit on. That's why they will probably be my first "luxury watch". that and because the aftermarket is cheap!
You sound crazy what's the purpose of buying anything luxury if it's not an investment to get your money back or make any kind of profit? At that point you're just blowing money on dumb investments 💯💯
@@dontrellsloan8337 why does Gucci, Dior, Louis Vuitton exist? The point of buying a luxury item is cuz it’s just that stfu with this everything has to be an investment or it’s useless cuz it doesn’t and most private collectors literally never sell watches

When everyone in the world is loving Grand Seiko in some years, and it's still holding its value well, and every other enthusiast appreciates it...Nico will be the last person standing yelling about it lmao.
They’re so ugly though. Why would anyone want to wear them.
@@lordflacko1795 it's about drive it's about power
@@lordflacko1795 bruh take a look at a Shunbun or Whirlpool or White Birch or Omiwatari and tell me with a straight face that they're ugly.
Yes true, I think there is he slightly misguided. Grand Seiko nowadays are definitely giving even bigger watch brands, like Rolex a run for their money, deserves some respect.
He probably just doesn't make enough money selling them. Opinions from salesmen are opinions from brand shills at the end of the day.
Love that you used to service watches. Adds to you being a real expert. A lot of UA-camrs and watch sellers don’t know the difference between hairspring and mainspring. Kudos and cheers 🍻
I love all your videos!!!! FUNNIEST dude I've ever just sat and watched!!!!!
I never had seen your channel before, but I am now getting addicted to your content!
When that guy showed the digital Timex I was actually ready to hear Nico calling him god knows what for not showing a casio😂 didn't expect you do be so chilled about it
It was bc it was literally a $40 watch
6:29 Rarely do I ever disagree with Nico, but here is what separates the watch enthusiasts from the watch investors. Grand Seiko is going to give you the best finishing and movement at the $5k range, the snowflake and skyflake are fantastic examples. Yes, value retention isn’t the best, but as the saying goes; “You buy Rolex to impress everyone else, you buy Grand Seiko to impress yourself”.
Just my two cents, love the content Nico!
Yeah, this is all good fun, I know my Skyflake is not going to be extra valuable, but I really like it and enjoy wearing it...But Nico is great!
This is why I find Rolex's overrated
i got gifted the snowflake on my wedding day by my father in law, and after wearing it for a week i sold my rolex hulk and my rolex pepsi
grand seiko pretty much nukes any rolex in terms of quality and value
Grand Seiko have very few peers in terms of pure quality.
Agreed. While being a watch enthusiasts and watch investor aren't mutually exclusive, feels like a lot people purporting to the be former are really only the latter now.
Started watching his reaction videos a couple days ago, and I love the content
I think when Kevin refers to GS as best value for money he isn’t talking about financial value. The finishing, attention to details, dials, movements (Spring Drive) are some of the best you can have for the money. I get the sarcasm though x)
Got my dad a Citizen Titanium Promaster Diver GMT (BJ7111-51M) for his Birthday. One of those P&P sets would be great for him

Omg Ive just stumbled across your channel, god your funny , love your content , definitely come to you for some time pieces

Love the videos Nico. Was gifted a Seiko for my 18th which is when I started watching you. My grandfather wears an old Rolex Daydate but you really sparked my interest in luxury watches and hope to own a collection one day. Currently saving up for my first luxury watch, which I will get from Pride and Pinion naturally! I've really enjoyed watching you grow your channel and produce GODTIER content! Keep it up, big fan!
In all fairness, value for money is NOT the same as retention! Kevin just said that what you pay for a Grand Seiko is actually worth it. You don't overpay cause what you get in both the level of finishing as well on the inside is really very good...
Thats what i was thinking. I also dont understand the grand seiko hate
@@austinlanier3285The hatred for Grand Seiko comes from the fact that Grand Seiko also owns a cheaper watch brand and they both share the same Seiko name. As such, a lot of snobs like to say that Grand Seikos are just overpriced Seikos.
From an actual, unbiased perspective, Seikos have great movement but the quality of the rest of the watch is lacking for the price you pay.
Ever noticed that it's used watch dealers that bang on about rolex value retention? That's because they can sell them quickly and easily, nobody ever claims rolex are actually good horological time pieces

Just like someone said, you buy Rolex for others, you buy Grand Seiko for yourself.
Your the reason I bought my first watch. I ended up choosing the Casio F-84W been wearing it for over 5 months and it feels amazing and has done me good, I would've never got a watch until I found your videos.

9:10 I’m just on TikTok to see Jumping Bouncing Juicy Booooops and all I’m seeing is PinHeads singing Island Shit!!!
1:00 , I guess that's how I feel about firearm collecting and buying, I see them as investments (specific types and models).
Love learning about specific mechanical workings and differences between models and manufacturers, calibers, and projectile weights, ballistics, re-loading, and customizing etc etc etc.. It's so interesting and endless!
And then there's the history!
But as investments; little to no deprecation on common firearms, and sometimes lucrative gains on hard to find or no longer produced or no longer imported firearms, ESPECIALLY NFA regulated stuff.
A bonus is NFA stuff is also just very very very fun.. 😉
I see them (firearms) as superior to most precious metals as well, at least in economic collapse type of scenarios, but that's going off on another tangent..
Just my humble opinion of course.
Greetings from Texas! ✌
4:19 Why was I waiting for "Hublot" 😂
My husband purchased me an Hublot Big Bang watch after I delivered our baby as my "push present". On our way home from the hospital I asked the Uber driver to make a stop at my city's courthouse so that I could start divorce proceedings
As someone who owns an $11 watch,
I sure could use that cleaning brush :)
I bought a patek 5711 and wore it with pride for 5 years. It was a dream come true purchasing that watch. It broke a year ago and when sending it in for repair I got informed that it was a replica watch. My heart literally broke in pieces. Wearing that watch made my dreams come true and too be informed that it was fake was so painful.
Holy shit how much did you spend buying it?

Funny thing actually, there was a civil war museum near me that had a tiffany and CO revolver from the 1860s. Before Tiffany made jewelry they made weapons for the U.S. Army lol. The museum recently closed because the owner died. But it's called Crooked Creek in Cullman AL. Maybe some of you with more money than you need would want to buy it.
Thats weird but okay
Nice to learn Nico serviced watches himself and has even more knowledge about watchmaking than I thought. And enough of the Island Boys.

Actually kevin is right and thats one of the reasons my respect for him goes up. He really is an enthusiast.
He’s not though. He only cares about the money and value going up.
@@lordflacko1795 Welcome to pretty much every hobby or segment of society that can possibly bring in a profit now. Investors are a real cancer. Not saying one cant make money off of something when they sell it, but its gone too far and become destructive.
And yes, I am fine with people making a profit off of something, I'm not one of those eat the rich people. But to me, I'm not always buying my next purchase to hope the market just skyrockets into the stratosphere. For me currently, This involves cars and not watches(But I'm looking into getting one). I'm wearing my grandfather's Hamilton Electric Buick award watch, which has a lovely dial and a petite 34mm case, and I'm glad to see the watch market growing as some young guns like myself enter the market (especially with vintage pieces right now).
How and why do you have a checkmark?
@@criwel7949 it’s a stolen / bought account
Yep, my 'everyday' watch is a Hamilton Khaki King Automatic that I paid LESS than $500 for... And it uses essentially the SAME SWISS ETA movement that you would find in a $4K Panerai from that era...
It was also the same watch that Hugh Laurie wore regularly IRL (GQ Cover), and also on his TV show.
Good enough for HOUSE, good enough for me!
Hamilton electric is a historical grail to every horology nerd
for those who don't know, it isn't quartz, it predates that, and uses a completely different oscillation technique
the watch have 2 stationary magnets sandwiching the coilspring being constantly supplied electric from a battery, creating a solenoid
the coilspring contains a magnetized metal part, that would get attracted by the constantly polarizing and switching magnets, forcing it to wind and unwind like a mechanical fork. besides the magnetism, the rest of the watch is completely mechanical
this is much less accurate, much more expensive and wears out slightly faster than quartz. so there's no reason to make this type of watch today
but as a piece of horological history, I envy you so badly

I totally agree with the Apple Watch. Because of cell phones I hadn’t worn a watch in over a decade. I got an Apple Watch from my wife only because she bought it for her father and he couldn’t use it because he has an android phone. After a year of wearing an Apple Watch I now have 7 watches. It doesn’t even have to be an expensive watch. People notice you when you wear a normal watch these days instead of walking around like a fucking sheep with a Apple Watch. I still wear my Apple Watch lol but no where near as often.
