It really is though:Di started learning English as my second language at a very young age,and I would squeal with excitement each time I would learn a new word/phrase.
I recently came across a beautiful antique book shop on a day trip to London and bought my first antique book- an 1890s edition of Little Women with a note in the front showing it was a Christmas present to someones niece in 1897! Its green and gold and so stunning!
I wish I can buy a big bookshelf cause I can’t fit all my books 😂😂 then again my room can’t handle a bigger shelf and your book covers are beautiful especially the classic books
@Khan Khan so what if she copied Hermione Granger, there are a lot of accounts who uses the word "Granger" or "Hermione." Maybe she used Granger since maybe her inspiration is Hermione Granger and that is why she named her username Granger Productivity. Just because the word "Granger" is in her username does not mean she is copying Ruby Granger. She can name her channel however she wants and she is her own person so please let her be and please just be kind.
This must’ve taken a looong time to film! It was amazing to see how many different types of books you read 😊 Thank you for the tour ruby, have a great weekend 💗
A Little Princess is my absolute favourite too! I was only able to get a copy of my own as an adult when they finally made a new Finnish edition, but I don't love the cover of it. I've been searching for a very specific edition that my local library carried because it feels oddly important to have it. I've been browsing antiquarian bookshops and library book sales for years! It's funny, it is the story that matters of course, but I was 7 when I first read the book and it's such a big part of my childhood that I feel like I need to have it.
I have to make an update on this, because after I made this comment, I went online to see if I could find out which edition the book I wanted was and I found a used book shop online that carried it! It just got delivered to me! A Little Princess was also my mum's favourite book growing up and she's been sad she lost her copy as a teen, because she would have wanted to give it to me. Today I found out that the edition she had was the same one I just got, which makes it even more precious. ❤️
Hi Ruby, I just wondered if you could film a complete bookshelf tour (the ones downstairs too) it would be really nice! By the way I love your channel!!
Who writes? "I see nowadays that there's a great pressure on young people to work out what you want to do straight away, but I think only a few of us have a clear version from the beginning about what we want to do; The rest of us spend a little time while figuring it out and that's totally normal. "
I love your bookshelf so much! Your classics shelf in particular is just gorgeous. "A Little Princess" and "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" are two of my all time favourites as well, and I've added quite a few of the other titles to my reading list. Thank you for the inspiration!
A little princess is my most favourite book of all time. I read it when I was about 12 and it completely changed my whole life, taught me how to truly make the most of my imagination, and I genuinely do believe in the messages of the book. A quote that really gets me through is "The worst thing never quite happens" which I mean to take there is always magic x
At the moment I have just a few books, I have the Harry Potter series, IT, and a few others. The other books are just from when I was about 9, now I am 14. So because I LOVE reading, I go to the bookshop next week and buy some new books, maybe fantastic beasts:) Great Video Ruby♡
Not only does lining books up look better than stacking them, but stacking them damages the spine. If you're going to stack shelves you need to regularly swap them around because the lower down on the stack a book is the more damage the spine takes from the pressure causing it to come apart easier.
@@remmawiifanai7173 Nice to see another Mizo interested in reading, sadly most of my friends hate reading lol. I barely have anyone to talk to regarding books
Hey, I hope you are having wonderful day, Hope everything going good there, Take care of yourself and family, ( And yes it's true that i wanted a reason to write to you and i was not getting one, so this i what i came up with) But, really take care of yourself and family, And that smile ofcourse,
I think I spied The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern in your TBR. So excited for you to read that, it’s wonderful 💓 Thanks for sharing this lovely video, Ruby!
If you'd enjoy comedy, please give PG Wodehouse a go. He's absolutely brilliant, no doubt "the funniest writer ever to put words on paper." He references a number of classics which you'll only understand if you've read them, but you should have no problem with that!
The vintage book section really inspired me to look into old books! Ruby, can you do a video on all your vintage books at home please? It would be an absolute pleasure to watch a video like that! Best,
I have 160 books on my shelf to get through during quarantine 😬😬 I’ve read two Alyssa shienmel books and she’s one of my favourite authors. Also I loved the binding!! I would love a tour of the library books and what books are on your TBR pile

Hi Ruby! Could you tell me what is the name of the edition of your beautiful Jane Eyre book? It’s absolutely stunning and I would love to have such an amazing edition of this book.
Ruby, one question, I don't want to be busybody or anything but the reason why the surname Granger is on the book you have written is because of Hermione Granger or it is your real surname? I just wonder this because in the book of Lucy Powrie, Powrie is her real surname and not the name of her channel ( I am a follower of her).
