Also is it bad that I wanted to hear Wubcakes take on that part of Phoenix begging her to say something to help. But didn’t til she interfere the verdict. No spoilers or anything, but character interactions between AA/MLP are going to be a big part of the series, as one would expect. It's one of the many reasons I (and the rest of the writers, for that matter) enjoy what we've outlined for the later cases a lot more than EoJ-1.

Actually, I've actually heard that the Twilight from Gen 1 was Twilight Velvet. And based on the mane color, that's a reasonable assumption. I mean, Twilight Sparkle was based on that character originally. But the idea that Twilight's mother was a Gen 1 pony is a good nod. That doesn't change the fact that there was a Spike in Gen 1, and I'm surprised there's no mention of Gen 1 Applejack. My Rainbow Dash theory is that she was caught on camera going to the spa and pampering herself. Because even though Turnabout Storm predates the episode that confirms it, it has in fact been confirmed in canon that she does like to pamper herself at the spa... wearing Tank slippers. The twist idea of the theater never having existed in the first place... "The theater was staged!" The details about the use of evidence and the laws of how court cases work are based on US laws. Phoenix Wright exists in a reality where the US and Japan have merged their legal systems (that's the lore of the English dubs of the games, the Japanese takes place in Japan). Also, in Case 5 of the first game (rather, the English port for the DS), there are details that explain that all evidence does and is entered. I suppose you can make the argument that it's modified so that the other side doesn't see it. But it's still part of the list of evidence overall. There are a few exceptions however. But those exceptions aren't big ones. As for coercing witnesses not to give certain details, how legal it is and how it's enforced are two different things. As long as the judge doesn't bring it up to be enforced (and that judge isn't known as being the sharpest tool in the shed), the case can technically continue. You'd actually be surprised by how many laws aren't actually enforced because of how obscure they are. Did you know that it's illegal to control the weather, and that time travel is only permissible with the permission of the government? Real enforceable laws that simply have no grounds to enforce since it's science fiction. It's also illegal in Arkansas to pronounce Arkansas incorrectly. And that's a law that actually can be enforced. Seriously, there are some ridiculous laws that really do exist. You know when a series that is good enough as is with just still frames can be a pain to watch because of how low the frame rate is, something's not Wright. I figured celeste would have accidentally summoned her in her younger years with a summoning spell, sense seemingly time doesn't matter for such spells (or at least it shouldn't need to matter) and they just sorta.. hit it off.
