I don’t see why people can’t grasp the concept of a fast street car. AC, wipers, stock cluster, all lights work, ect. Just because you slap turbos on a car doesn’t mean it’s strictly a racecar.
You make a comment around 15min that 1st is unusable. I'm surprised to hear that. I have a fully built twin 72, sleeved, th400 s550. On wastegate it's around 9psi and make 900+ rwhp. I dead hook in first from a ~40 ish roll. What is your car making to not hook? I'm on 17" beadlocks and 325/50 et street R's
The only reason I haven't considered a TH400 swap is because I drive my GT350 likely way more often and across the state and country. I am not sure it would hold up in the manner ai use mine vs yours.
@@Twisted500 if this T56 fails again that maybe my next step. I'll rebuild it with my triple disk mantic and sell it. I'd like to see what happens in your GT500 if you made a trip to Louisville for an afternoon. See how well that TH400 stands up to prolonged driving at 75mph on the highway.
When cruising on the highway in 3rd can you downshift to 2nd for a pull or do you have to get to a very slow speed. I heard on another th400 video you cannot downshift until almost stopped.

You can down shift to 2nd no problem. Do not down shift to 1st
I have a th400 as well, you can't downshift and hammer it. you need to get the RPM up to current MPH crusing speed. they you can get on it
Mine downshifts to 2nd and I hammer the shit out of it at 150kms and pulls to 220kms no worries at all. It's a stock th400
What bump box are you using?
Had a pulse leash.
Why take the DCT out?
