Having bought, modified and built your Servetto dresser "plans", I can confirm that the word does them a disservice. The amount of detail, the fact that I could (and did) rewatch each video component of the instructions repeatedly until I felt super confident in what I was doing...it all made the "plans" so worth it and much more valuable than most other plans out there. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Chris...appreciate the support and the endorsement. We work hard on them to make sure people can build this stuff...so hearing you say that means a lot to me.
I am 190 I always been 145 my whole life at one point lower than that I've gained over 50 lbs in the last 4 years and now that I am engaged I am wanting more to be healthy again. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx5VQ5nUzHu6i0O5_u7ipyLnCz0lbsSvr0 I am not fat but I am thick and have muscle. I am very close to how you were but a lil smaller but I am so sick people making comments to me like I'm huge or like you said having shorts that used to be so cute on me and now I can't even find a pair to fit me. I used to love shopping now I don't even want to go to the store and if I do I pick the biggest size don't even try it on and deal with it. I know this video is 2 years old, but I'd just like to add for the stalactites/stalacmites part at 2:55. You can avoid the confusion by calling them speleothems, which is a term that applies to both stalactites and stalcmites as well as other formations.
I enjoy watching your videos for a myriad of reasons. I have never bought or built from plans but as I watched your progress I realized that with plans not only could I build this exact table, but I could help support your business and future videos. In short, I will be buying some plans and making some furniture my kids can enjoy and pass on to their kids one day!
I just accepted a project where I'll be making a 150 cm round table. It will be a little different, with steel legs, but after watching this video I got some new ideas on making the tabletop. Thanks for the great video!
Hey Chris, I’ve been watching since the begging. Life is a fun ride when you follow your passions. This may be my favourite build. I hope someone asks me to build it soon.
@@Foureyes.Furniture We can definitely do that. I’m now a Jr.High shop teacher because I became obsessed and followed my passion. 🙂Stay tuned as I put the kids to work. (Might make a good podcast 🤪)

I loved your old format, it was very structured and was to the point. Mixing the two is brilliant! It makes your scripted parts more enjoyable. Cheers!
In the UK we call this a “farmhouse kitchen table” or “farmhouse table” because it’s typical of larger old farmhouses which have formal dining rooms with large dining tables or “banquet tables” to also have a small table in the kitchen used for breakfast or lunch
There are far too few round or rounded corner table builds on UA-cam, so thanks for this. Looking forward to some side table plans at some point in the near future.
Nice project Chris. The round over on the top’s top edge + the chamfer on the lower edge really nails the aesthetic. It’s the combo of the 2 similar but different edges. Note to anyone thinking about buying the 4👁 plans, do it. They are a great value and really well done.
Chris... for roundovers, check out out how guitar builders shape their guitar necks, its a swinging jig they bolt the raw neck into. They can get very precise contours for the fretboard.
I just found your channel and am learning so much! Thank you! Your designs are beautiful, elegant, and organic. In many ways, better than some of the old masters such as Nakashima. Keep up your great attitude and dedication! Regarding this table: what are your thoughts about connecting the stretcher of one leg sub-assembly to the stretcher of the other leg sub-assembly with lap joints? The first leg sub-assembly would be glued up as before; the second leg sub-assembly would be completed while locked into the first sub-assembly - like a large puzzle.
Great build Chris! I doubt I'll make a table like this but I always learn something from watching you work, no matter the project. Love the new documentary style videos too!

I have a round table top that looks just like this that I made like 3 or 4 yrs ago and couldn't figure out a good base so I'm gonna steal this base idea if u don't mind Chris. Thanks for the inspiration bro!
I would call this a kitchen table, but that might just be because we had a round table in our kitchen when I was growing up. I really like your design here. You used the chunkier leg, which is different from what I usually see you do, but still managed to make it look elegant. I rarely use the full height of my 12" table saw, but I can see how it would be super useful here. I'm gonna have to pass on duplicating your spindle sander setup though. 😂 I could probably make it work with the few free milk crates I have laying around. Great looking table and great video! Thanks for sharing!
Can you make a video of your design process on a piece of furniture and then also make it? I would love to see how you come up with sketches and ideas and determine what to make! I have been in a creative slump lately and I would love to get better at design!

I'd call it a standard height, fourty-eight inch round table for eating or Shfeirt. I'm also now convinced that this is how IKEA names their products. Also, you might want to rotate your top 45° relative to the base so someone leaning on an edge doesn't snap the top along the grain.

Hey Four Eyes Love your work. Enjoy your videos even more. 😁👍🏻 For this informal table I would have used three legs. The shape of these would be triangular. With the pointed edges of the triangles all facing outwards flat facing inwards. Bracing bars at the bottom using the same orientation for the triangles facing outwards. In other words your whole leg frame would be a triangle looking from the top. Making the overhang not more than two inches from the frame edge. Forming a modular design rather than a spindle type.
