The patient was my Youth Pastor’s wife. I don’t even know how to describe how much better she’s doing. Her baby is also perfectly healthy and is always smiling. If you look at them you never would’ve thought that they had been through anything like that.

@@Essays4CollegeYes! Hundreds, maybe even a thousand or more praying for the family, and some miracles happening with the baby, and the family. The patient is my youth pastors wife, and I can tell you we LOVE praying, it works, I can guarantee it

Toni Mae's in-laws are missionaries that our church in Florida supports. We began praying for Toni Mae when we learned that she had a brain tumor. Our church was praying for Toni Mae and for her baby and all the while, we were praying for her doctors!!! And then, when she had to have the emergency C-Section, we prayed for the baby. And now to see them today is amazing. What a beautiful family!!! We thank our wonderful God for how he used Dr. Rutkowski in the life of Toni Mae!!!

This is a great interview of Dr. Rutkowski and also has watched his wife’s interview. Perfect couple, driven, grounded. I wish after 6 months or so interview the mother together with the team of doctors on how to took care of mum and baby. This will be a great follow-up interview especially the family had 10000 facebook followers which means they were open in sharing their journey. Just a suggestion….
If I have a bad day at work I just shut my office door. Dr. Rutkowski can't have bad days at work. I can't imagine the amount of stress and pressure that goes along with that. Dr. Rutkowski, you rock!

WTF is this story 🤯 !!! that's like roller coast of emotions , Happy outcome for sure but wow that's some highs and lows and like she was put under for 48 hours to remove a "mushroom" like brain stem tumor going all the way up and down is wild, THEN IMMEDIATELY AFTER hey your baby is here 😌😌😌

Can you talk about OR Stories which weren’t a success & how you handled them. I know it has the risk of portraying you as a bad doctor to the general audience, but that would make for a great video considering there is a high mortality rate in NS.

If the neurosurgeon needs to reach from the frontal part of the face, do we need a plastic surgeon/resident for closing the scar at the end of operation?
Hi. I had a huge brain tumor in my left temporal lobe and my left frontal lobe. I had to have a plastic surgeon close to minimize scarring. You can still see a small bit of scarring on my forehead hairline but it just looks like a scar from a fall. He closed with stitches not staples all along my left side. Unfortunately the neurosurgeon had to put 3 screws under left eyebrow…you can’t see them, but they feel really freaky to touch…like when I wash my face or put lotion on it. That’s my personal experience. Excellent question!!!

Can there be a higher likelihood of complications w/ anesthesia over that long of a surgery duration? And does this change the dosage given since it’s over such a long period of time?

Brain surgery amazes me -- partly because we can't even quantify what the brain even does. The heart moves blood, and we know what blood is. The colon deals with food and nutrients, and we know what they are. The brain makes ... consciousness? What's that? Who knows? I think the only organ that even approaches it in terms of the mystery of WTH it does is the liver.
