Hope y'all enjoy this special "What I Eat In A Day" video, that also happens to include a trauma surgery night shift in there. Fast forward to 7:54 to see footage of what the trauma response looks like!

Please never loose your personal touch (sympathizing with the patient, checking on them) Patients see it, they feel it, and appreciate it more then you’ll ever know. They’ll forever remember Dr. Dong and his kindness!!!

Being as this is the first time I've watched, I can't speak to the rest of your videos, but you need a sarcasm disclaimer somewhere LOL. And the deadpan, straight faced delivery just put me over the edge. I need therapy now. I'll be billing you. *Great content, thank you for sharing!*

I love this! I have always been so into trauma all my life, I am a 3rd semester nursing student and started working in Shock Trauma in Baltimore MD as a student nurse to gain more experience before looking for RN jobs. I am in love with the environment and I have so much respect for what the doctors and surgeons do in the trauma centers. I hope one day to be in the ER/Resuscitation units of trauma farther down my career. Keep up your amazing work, I am so glad you are sharing more of this side in the medical field.

wow what an eventful first night! I work at UPMC (Univ of Pittsburgh Medical center) on the other side of the state and our ed/ trauma bay usually only gets a couple rib/ spinal fx from pt falling or from mtv/mva’s. Most of them are transfers from smaller non tertiary care center ed’s too. gsw are pretty rare in my area so it’s crazy how that’s the first thing you had to start with. Thanks for sharing!

I had a tubal 3 years ago when I was being extubated I vaguely remember waking up feeling like I was drowning swallowing to get more air and couldn't move i swore I heard the docs say they were going to loose me, next I know I'm waking up coughing up alot of yellow stuff. My fiance said they had to reintubate me I Had a layrngospasm after this experience I found I have lingual tonsil hypertrophy which also can cause difficult intubation. I need a endoscopy in feb and maybe lingual tonsil surgery find out in Jan but I link surgery to death now.. and the endoscopy...

Entertaining but disturbing. Why can't the American medical system put out more doctors so the doctors are not working on life critical tasks being sleep deprived/half awake. It's not just this video. It seems like a rampant problem where doctors working in trauma are working in a state of being half awake half asleep. With that said, much respect to the hard work the doctors put in.
