Hi everyone! I wanted to let you all know that I am doing great. It's hard everyday but I'm trying to do my best and I can't wait to be myself again and talk to everyone. Let me know if you want to see my new video on my surgery, it shows the testing they did during the surgery, while I was awake to help them map the exact location of the tumor. Love you guys and thank you for your support and prayers. See you soon!
So glad she is doing well. I was diagnosed with a brain tumour when I was 25 in 2008. I'm doing well now and happy to help if you need a bit of advice for post-op xxx
I've also been diagnosed with a brain tumor a week before my 20th Birthday. I was walking around with symptoms for six months until I had a seizure and actually collapsed. Six years ago I had my tumor removed. Before the surgery, doctors told me I'll lose half of my vision and possibly my long term memory. And here I am. I'm attending medical school, doing work outs three times a week, eating healthy, learned to play multiple instruments and most importantly I learned to live and appreciate my being. Getting a Diagnose like that in your young adult life is a nightmare and a blessing as well! Whoever is watching us from up above, has bigger plans for you!!! Mark my words. Trust your beautiful brain and it's willpower. You got this!!!! 🌺❤️🙏🏾
Gerry F I want to stress that symptoms vary extremely. Which is why I ended up watching this video, besides the fact that I barely know anyone under 30 with a brain tumor and it's good to know you're not alone... this sounds weird but I hope it's understandable But yeah my symptoms started becoming noticeable when I started losing my short time memory, our short term memory is able to keep information for 20 seconds, if it isn't repeated. However, the way I was losing it was very noticeable to people in my environment. Like I had to change the topic of a whole conversation because I couldn't back track. I'm assuming that it was a small seizure, petite mal. At the age of ten, i started getting minor migraine attacks but I never got them checked because it would only last a few minutes, I haven't had them since my tumor has been removed. So mainly migraines and horrible short term memory attacks. Mind you, everybody forgets things but the way I did it was very noticeable!!!! Forgetting your phone number or a name doesn't mean you have a brain tumor! Then I woke up after I passed out in my kitchen, I figured it was due to stress...and it happened again one week later. My brother saw me having a seizure and that's how my story began. I had no such thing as an Aura or any particular situation causing my seizures. I would close my eyes and open them and wake up somewhere else. I hope this was helpful for you. It's kinda hard to keep it short...
Hi Courtney - I'm not sure if you'll see this comment. But I am a neurosurgical ICU nurse. I care for patients after tumor resections all the time. I just want to reassure you that you're gonna be ok. The brain is an amazing thing, and you are so young! I wish there were words to make this better. I have seen so many people undergo this surgery. Two years ago I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and I know exactly how you feel when you are told a diagnosis that affects your life. You got this! Trust the doctors and nurses. They are gonna get this out and hopefully it'll be a thing in the past. Xoxo
Hannah Clough Another ICU neuro nurse here and I totally agree with you. Courtney will get through this and we'll all send our prayers for you and your family ❤️
Hannah Clough hi Hannah I have a question as I type this I am feeling some very sharp stingy like pain on the left side of my head it happens randomly and I have told my doctor about it but she said it was normal and I have always wanted to ask someone that knows a little more or is a little more directed into that neuro field, do you believe it's normal or should I be concerned?
sunshinee drea I have that too! And I also have lost vision for seconds a few times ... everything would went blurry for a few seconds then I would feel so dizzy afterwards! I haven't gone to the doctor though because I'm so scared ugh!! Sorry for my bad English
I checked her twitter and instagram and was sooo relieved she is fine now. I like good news and I am happy when people manage to fight disease, whatever it is.
She’s not “good now”... she doesn’t have a tumor or cancer but it is still a struggle for her to form words sometimes. Brain surgery is no joke, this has still impacted her three years later. :(
Suprise Sisters do you kids have more than two teachers? Fourth grade, right? I taught elementary for 29 years. The best years of my life. I know you ALL will pray and love on your teacher through all of this!
I honestly don't know why I watch videos like this. I have a severe anxiety disorder so I get super anxious about me having things and awhile ago I just got over a delusion of having a brain tumour.... I hope she's okay
Cerriwddyn Knowles I have gone through that too liget it's horrible this comment helped me with how I've thought I have one too I didn't know other people feel like that too
I have anxiety too, but I watch her journey to remember how life can change in a minute. How for now when we have our health. We have emotional issues, also disrupted cognitive functions, but imagine going through losing yourself. Your ability to express yourself. Your ability to feel safe within your own body. How it slowly colapses. Anxiety can be controlled, can be mild if taken seriously by you and your closest family/friends. Her journey reminds me that even though I have diabities, anxiety, several other hormonal diseases, a boyfriend who is toxic, that slowly I can manage my problems, my life. Because I still am myself. Small scared often terefied creature. But going through chemo, brain surgery when you have to grasp for every word, for your freedom to think. Sorry for babling. I am exhausted.
Reading all the comments from your students is making me sob, I'm praying for you and your family ❤️❤️ you're a lucky woman to have so many people that love and care about you! Don't lose hope ❤️
My boyfriend had a stroke about 9 months ago and it affected his left temporal lobe where his speech, comprehension, reading and writing were affected. They had to do open his entire left temporal skull and when he woke up after 10 days, he couldn't say a word but with continuous therapy, he is slowly gaining 50 percent of it. He is doing great now and he is happy. We bought a dog for him and that really helped him. Don't lose hope and always see the brighter side of each struggle. I know you will do well!
you can get through this. I have a very rare leukemia and somehow am still alive. I did 3 rounds of chemo and still need a transplant. The human body is an amazing thing.
Desarae Colins Our neighbor had one of the rarest cancers (I can't remember the name of it, but it was like 1% of the rarest 1%. They gave him a life expectancy of a year or 2, but he made it 10 years. He just kept fighting, and no matter how bad he felt, he stayed positive. I think a lot of it has to do with how much you're willing to keep fighting. I'm so happy you're still here! Hoping you get that transplant soon. 💙💙💙
I remember watching this the first time and It still gives me the same feeling of sadness as it did the that day except…now that it’s over 5 years and I have watched your entire recovery and get married and now having a baby. I am so so happy for you. I am so glad you met your wonderful, amazing husband who is so supportive. I just am so happy for you today. I don’t know why we go through certain things in life but you are a strong wonderful women.
UA-cam is such a strange place because you feel like you know the person across the screen from you. I feel like I know you and this video made me cry. I will definitely be praying for your surgery and your recovery and can't wait to hear that you're doing well couple weeks from now!!!
I am 14 and last year was the worst year of my life . For so long I couldn't sleep and my head hurt all the time . I didn't feel like myself. And it only got worse. One day when I was on a trip in Oregon I lost my vision my head felt horrible and I couldn't stand up straight. Once I got home I was bed bound and for a week and would not get up unless I had to. Finally on July 14 my mom saw me and that day I felt a little better but then I fell to the ground, my vision was gone everything was blurry , I started to puke up everything and after that we rushed to childrens mercy and it all went so quickly we got an mri and they saw a pineal tumor in the middle of my brain and after that they rushed me to a emergency surgery. They shaved a little of the right side of my head and went in with a camera and took out the tumor and although It had a 50% chance rate I survived it and I felt better but then a month later I lost my vision and so we didn't know if any thing was really wrong but then we found out it was a bigger tumor than the last and it was in the middle of my brain and this tumor looked like it had cancer. They said the survival rate was lower but it was the only thing we could do. So they went in the back of my head and instead of with a camera they had to open up my skull . The day I got my surgery was my first day of 8th grade ( which really sucked) but after all that I survived) I did miss the first few weeks of school in the hospital trying to walk again relearning how to move my neck learning other things like that and in the end after many tests they saw there was no cancer. I'm lucky that I am alive and although I'm missing a pineal gland ( which controls your sleep so it's hard to sleep sometimes but it's ok I take melatonin) and I have a scar in the front of my head that looks like a bald spot and a huge scar on the back of my head I'm so very luck to be alive . This video helped me feel I wasn't alone in my brain tumor journey so thank you for this video. Sorry for the long story
Elise Bowles I hope you are feeling good today. I am 15 right now and I also had a brain tumor when I was nine. Even though it was a rough time I survived. My left hand and my sense of balance are a little messed up but I am fine. Reading story's of people who went through the same kind of thing always helps a lot. How are you feeling now that your brain tumor is almost gone for two years?
My mother had a brain tumor also, apparently she had it for 17 years and just thought it was migraines. Back then, when she was in her 20's, they only had a catscan that didn't catch it. Fast forward to 1987, the MRI had just come along and she had one, they found it, the size of a large orange, they ended up doing 11 surgeries on it(it actually had "seeds" embedded in the bone of her neck and that's why it kept coming back. They figured that out on her last surgery. She came through each one wonderfully, they always said she may be blind, def, paralyzed, etc. nothing like that occurred. It never came back. She ended up passing away in 1996 but not from that...I know you will be okay, technology is so much more advanced than it was when my mom had her surgeries and she was alright. I'm sending many good vibes to you sweetheart. I'm rooting for you!
Courtney, hope this will help you. 19 years ago I started having severe headaches. After MRI it turned out to be a very large brain tumor. Surgery followed at Barrows Neurological Center in Phoenix. At this time it turned out to be brain cancer stage 3, chances of surviving 3%. I got into clinical trial, which meant chemo first, radiation second, a reversed order from typical treatment. All treatment including surgery lasted 4 months. That was in 2001, I’m still here in2020. I strongly recommend Barrow, I owe them my life. Best wishes to you.
I hope it’s ok to ask What sort of brain tumour ? I have brain cancer too and I’m trying to put off my third surgery for as long as possible because my kids are still so young
What a miracle! What do you think was the #1 thing that helped you survive? Why do you think some people die but some make it? I'm going through grief right now because my twin sister died in August of leiomyosarcoma. She caught it at stage 2, almost 3, she said. Sadly, I didn't believe her at first because she had a history of exaggeration. I regret it so much and wonder if my worry about a growth they found on my colon is only survivor's guilt. I cannot get a biopsy until next January (it's February 2021 as I post this). I am trying to figure out how to get a biopsy, just so I know.
Courtney, I'm pulling for you so hard. You have so much strength just to get to the point you're at now and I'm praying for you, as well as the doctors and nurses involved in your surgery today. I have faith that all will go well and you'll be back to your viewers and your kids when you can. Sending love & hugs ❤️❤️❤️
Praying for you. Never saw your channel before.. This is the first video. But I'm ready to cry with you. If anyone knows the struggles of health problems it's me, so when I say my heart is breaking for you.. It's coming from an actual plaid in my heart honey.. i feel all the time like.... Why is this happening to me, I'm too young for this. And there's nothing you can do but leave it up to physicians and the almighty Lord. Pray hard.. But I believe you'll pull through. I'll say a prayer right now for you though! Stay strong girl! And btw... Your so beautiful! Inside and put it seems!💋💄
I had brain surgery too. I had been sick for 4 days, which was unlike me, and my parents had made a drs apt so I got up to shower before the apt. I came downstairs looking for underwear, asking for trees. My parents were confused and I was totally incoherent. I was a freshman in high school and I couldn't even write the ABC's. Long story short, I had a brain infection and I was in a coma for almost 2 weeks. I had subdural empyema and the drs said it was so rare 1 in a million get it and they didn't have a cure for it. They said I'd never be able to walk, talk, basically be normal again. I'm about the graduate law school and I graduated high school on time despite missing a whole semester. I know you're in good hands and these drs are going to make sure you're ok! Everyone is pulling for you and my thoughts & prayers are with you. I didn't have a tumor but I had brain surgery and I know it's a scary situation to be in but know God is with you and he wouldn't give you something you couldn't handle!
It was a great experience to read your comment because I know God has special plans for you and your prosterity; that you are on Earth for an important reason! Sending best wishes to you. :)
Aben Alexander thank you! I absolutely know God will do the same for her, I just know it! What I wrote, is only a quarter of what I went through. It was a struggle to fight for my life. But I am here and I am here for a reason and I know there's a reason for her! She'll have her own story to tell like me, like all of us and it's just going to show her in his own way just why she's here!
Stay strong! I have been through a similar situation. I had a brain tumor on that same said pretty much in the same spot when I was 15 years old noncancerous and again when I was 17 cancerous. I have beaten it. I am currently cancer free. P.S. Go Gray in May! (Brain tumors awareness month!)
My mum had A brain tumour 3 years ago and it was benign she is now absoloulty fine and it was removed successfully and her MRI's are now completely normal x
My son had a (benign) brain tumour when he was 11yo, he's 16 now and has had the all clear since his brain surgery to remove it. It was terrifying as parents but for a child (or the person it's happening to) I can't imagine how scary that was for him/you. Best wishes with your journey ahead.x
Hey Courtney. I had a similar situation happen to me when i was 17. I kept having stomach problems and they did an MRI and found a cyst in my brain. Mine had to be taken out immediately bc of the location. I am 5 years post surgery. Praying for you and your family! You got this!!
I have a pituitary tumour aswell. They put me on the well known cabergoline because it’s related to prolactin. But now I’ve been told they want to take me off cabergoline and watch the rumour grow. Once it reaches a certain size they will operate to take it out. Messed up but the side effects have ruined my life. Made me depressed and weight gain and so many other issues
You showed up in my feed, it's May 15th, and I pray that your surgery went well. You have a new viewer in me, and I will be waiting for your next video. God Bless!
I had two brain surgeries due to a tumor, the medical advances they have made in neurology is amazing you will be okay!!!! Good luck to you I wish you a speedy recovery.
Seventeen years ago I went in for a 36 week ultrasound so my ob/gyn could monitor my baby. While the tech was doing the ultrasound I saw something on the screen and asked what it was. She said nothing but the doctor sent me to a high risk pregnancy doctor. No one would tell us anything. The new doctor did an ultrasound as well then called the neurosurgeon down to see the ultrasound. A week later I was having a c section. None of the doctors knew for sure what it was just that it wasn't right. My son was born at 37 weeks and immediately had to go into the neonatal ICU. They also did his MRI and we found out he had a brain tumor. It was such a horrible feeling when all we should have had was joy. My sons tumor was supposed to be a slow growing tumor and the plan was to have it taken out later down the road. Well at 5 weeks my son had brain surgery because the tumor had doubled in size. The first half of my sons life was spent shuffling from doctor to doctor. The physical and physiological issues that have stemmed from his tumor has been something we all had to overcome. He is now 17 with a horseshoe shaped scar on the right side of his head. He is my everything. I know scared you are. There is life on the other side. It may be different though. When things like this happen change is inevitable for everyone that's close to you. When my son was very young I was sitting in a store waiting on my husband holding my son. I was in a very bad place at that time. A young man came up to me and kneeled at my side and told me that everything is going to be ok, HE will be okay. I looked up at him with tears in my eyes and told him thank you. He smiled and got up and as he walked away I noticed the scar down the back of his head. I needed to hear that so badly. I will say a prayer for you. But Courtney YOU WILL BE OKAY. This is all going to work out
Bordeaux and the beautiful for some reason the ending of your post made me cry god is great and I'm happy for you and your son I have a son of my own and I can't imagine having to go through what you did
So glad she is doing well. I was diagnosed with a brain tumour when I was 25 in 2008. I'm doing well now and happy to help if anyone needs a bit of advice for post-op xxx
I don’t know how I got here I believe this was on my recommended. You’re such a strong woman. I pray that life treats you better and keeps giving you strength to pull thru. It’s these type of videos that make me realize how blessed I am to have health. Stay strong girl.
I had a benign brain tumor too! Craniopharyngioma on my pituitary gland/hypothalamus. It had been there at least 5 years before it was discovered (I was 11), and was also first told it was just dehydration. I've talked to so many people since then who have had all sorts of brain tumors. It's amazing what a huge support community there is. I'm 21 now and while my life is different than I imagined it would be, the experience made me who I am today. Hang in there!
Allegra Noelle I too had a benign brain tumor. It was located on my third ventricle and causing me headaches for months. Luckily they were able to remove my tumor with two surgeries, which took place over Christmas time this past year. I stayed in the hospital for 22 days, which were probably the worst 22 days of my life.
I wish people could get regular MRI / cancer screenings to check on things regularly! (I bet it would make things a lot easier if we found out we had cancer earlier)
You are exposed for a while, its like when people have to get X-ray. Its proven the amount of you are exposed to during X-ray isn't damaging or increasing the risk for you. You shouldn't get an X-ray when pregnant though. Sad thing is, that in USA you pay for your insurance and still have big bills sent to you. In my country you pay around 100 bucks (half of it, if you are employed comes from employers pocket) and you get almost everything for free. (Standard things you are sent to, like if you go to emergency room, you pay 3 bucks for them look at you, you pay for some prescribed drugs, and stuff. But most of the appointments you are sent to (EEG, EKG, MRI, X-rays etc) are for free. )
Rewatching this video again. (A few years later). Henry Ford caught my precancerous spots on my pancreas. I had a whipple at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw. I’m here 3 years later. I’m glad your tumor was caught. I’m really happy you are doing so well now!
I have a disorder that causes me to grow tumors in my brain and spinal cord. This is a hard period for you to be facing, but you will recover. Sometimes it takes a while. So, if you have any issues post-op, just hold on. The brain is amazing in what it can overcome. ❤️
Such great words of encouragement. Your short comment is an inspiration to keep pushing forward no matter what life throws at us. May God bless you in your own journey. :)
One time I dropped 65 pounds on my head and had a concussion. I couldn't speak for two weeks and it was the scariest, most humbling, and most frustrating period. I really identified with your feelings of being scared of what was going to happen to your speech. I sometimes have a stutter now but most people don't notice! Hope you're feeling better!
Im not a commenter typically and honestly because of how Facebook is my first thought was this was going to be clickbait. I have to apologize to you for that. Im all to familiar with brain surgery as my son went through six before his 4th birthday. Not as a result of a Tumor but as a result of abuse by his biological father on his first birthday. I was told that best case scenario he would be a vegetable the rest of his life as he is 60% brain dead. 6 years later my son Devin is a happy healthy boy who runs, jumps, tells jokes and shows love like no other child I have ever met. I am a full believer that doctors perform miracles through God and I will be praying for you and your family through this! You are so brave to be sharing about what you are going through I know how hard that is. Please share with us a p.o. box number so we can send you a card.
my sister passed out at work once, and suffered from migraines most of her life. so we took her to the hospital and she had a brain tumor. she got it removed through surgery but the doctors made the mistake of not doing another MRI, pieces broke off from her brain all down her spine and spread to her bones. she died a year later (this was like 3 years ago) so it's nice to hear that it's not a death sentence for everyone (I'm not sure if that sounds insincere) I'm glad you're getting through it
I didn't know whether to "like or dislike" this video, although I hate what you're going through I chose to "like" it because I admire your strength and I know you'll overcome this. Praying for you and your family.
Sending many prayers your way! You're going to get through this. "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous hand." Isaiah 41:10
My boyfriend has a brain tumor. Wish him luck guys... Thank you so much for all your prayers! We aren’t together anymore but he is doing well now (I think)
Your story gave me so much strength! I''ve been so scared to go to docter's or hospital to get checked out and have been having some issues. Your letting people know that anyone can get Cancer at any time. Doesn't matter age or race. Thanks for being so strong and telling your story.
I am praying for you babe 💕💕 you are so incredibly strong and I will be keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Sending lots of love and positive vibes your way ❤️
By now you’ve treated the tumor. I hope it went well and you are fully recovered. I have been dealing with multiple brain tumors my entire adult life so I understand the shock and anxiety.
Your so young and beautiful. This is not right for a young person . I feel so devestated, you can beat this . I will be thinking of you and praying for you.Dont give up , keep fighting!
My mom just had a Brain tumor removed about a month ago and she Is currently going on her 3rd week of chemo and radiation. Praying for you! Hope all is well💛
Courtney, I just cried with you. I cannot even imagine what you are going through. You are such an amazing person! I am praying so hard for you and your family. xo
I am not your followers. I just saw this video randomly on youtube and i started the pray for you when I saw the title before even watch the video. I believe that surgery is going to go well and you are going to kick this tumor. Praying praying so hard for you! Please stay positive!!!! 💞
i found out I had a brain tumor when I was 16 i didnt get it removed until I was 18. it was on my pituitary that nearly killed me. but I'm still trucking at 20 after everything I went through. I wish you luck on your journey!
Brina Weinschrott I second the "what??!" My sister had a pituitary tumor removed when she was in her 20s. It grew back and is watched by MRI. She also almost died after the surgery. Eating fruits and vegetables has absolutely nothing to do with this topic. Now my sister has a pituitary disease called acromegaly and is dying from that. Yet she still says that others have suffered far more than her. Before diagnosed with acromegaly, she had a huge aneurysm and almost died from that.
i have a microadenoma(basically tiny tumor) in my pituitary... it has been there for 8 years. my doctors just watch over it through MRI's. I know an older lady who had a macroadenoma in her pituitary who was able to opt for pills instead of surgery. she has to take them for the rest of her life but they have done the trick getting rid of her tumor. I get so tired of the migraines & hormonal imbalances that I have been debating surgery to remove it but after reading these I think I will opt for pills.. 😯
I had a brain tumour too! It was fast growing and the scary part is the doctor said if it wasn’t removed I would die, and I could die from the surgery, but I’m okay now and I hope your fine to.
Remember the bible says our tounge is the steerage of our ship so we should never say bad things about ourself. Instead we should say, "I don't have brain aneurysms and I am completely healthy in Jesus' name." Jesus is Lord of all, His name has power and is healing. Always only speak good things about yourself. Pray every day in Jesus' name and always Tithe faithfully. Me and my family have been healed many times through my Tithing also.
You are soooooo incredibly strong & I know you'll push through. you have so much support from UA-cam alone, I can only imagine how much support you have from your school&family. you will be in my prayers 💜💫🙏
I've never been on your channel but I saw your video & had to comment. I'm sending you all the love & will keep you in my prayers. Stay strong & trust that God never puts anything in one's life without knowing that she/he will pass through it & will make them stronger. You'll look more beautiful after surgery - Sending you my love & prayers ❤️
Hi sweetheart! I just found your channel through this heart wrenching video and I just want to send my best wishes, stay strong and stay positive throughout this trying time. Positivity and being surrounded by loved ones is the best to do in such tough circumstances-- sending love 💗
Hello Courtney, I'm surgeon and just got to say that you are doing such a great job. Accept the tumor and have support between your family and friends it's everything, trust me. Good luck girl and believe in the medicine, you're going to pass it.
You are probably in surgery right now as I type this. I pray for the hands of all who are working on your precious brain. I also pray for a quick recovery and that your speech will not be compromised whatsoever. Please look up the benefits of Frankincense essential oil and healing the brain. My Aunt had lesions on her brain and I have given her some of my Frankincense essential oil (100% pure therapeutic grade is SUPER important) and she puts a drop on her thumb and holds it on the roof of her mouth everyday. The things this does for your brain is amazing. Just something to look into. I look forward to your next video, but please don't feel rushed... your recovery is most important right now.
I am 52 and the last 2 years have been very hard. I wish you all the strenght and positivity in the world. Remember this... Dear Cancer, You have messed with the wrong girl this time. Your support group. This still keeps me going❤❤❤ I hope it helps you
praying for you so hard!! you are strong and beautiful and i know you will be in that 80%. I admire your strength during this difficult time and as a fellow teacher, i am praying for your students as well and hoping they are able to get through this, too. Sending positive thoughts

Hey beautiful, I'm a firmer believer that everything will go for the best, you are such a strong and beautiful person, you deserve life and life is what you'll get. We are here for you love, always. Stay strong ❤💕
Man I can’t believe I just found you. My brain tumor was found in March 28. I went from “watchful waiting” to Aug8 “you need surgery ASAP” because my tumor was fast growing. I just got it removed Sep 19. It’s been a tough recovery. I’m so glad I found you. I’m about to binge watch your journey. 💓💖 keep strong love.
I’m doing pretty good. I lost some of my hearing on my left ear from the surgery. My head is still numb in several areas. My left eye has blind spots. It could’ve been worse. I have a one year follow up. Thank you guys for asking!
Kass Ignacio Wow. Ya, it definitely could have been worse. Way to look at the positive side!! I pray you have continued improvement and healing. You are super brave!
LivingwithKass my daughter has been fighting her tumor for almost 6years,blindness and balance is a big issue.along with other issues, prayers for you both.

I hope everything went smoothly, sweet girl! This is my first video of yours that I've watched. Miss Lauralee mentioned it... This really hits home because I wanted to let you know, my mom recently had a tumor removed in the exact same place as yours! She heard the ringing or weird sounds in her ear too! I was in tears listening to this because I saw first hand how receiving news like that can seriously bring your whole world to a screeching halt... the good news is, there is a bright and beautiful light at the end of that tunnel! I have so much faith that you will recover quickly and hopefully with very little pain. I'm sending thoughts and prayers your way. I pray you get to go back to your little ones at school very soon! 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
I have never cried watching a video but today was the first time I hope you are better and over come with flying colors. May god bless you and your family

Dearest Courtney, you don't know me, but I've come to know you (somewhat) through watching your videos on here. My heart goes out to you, to your family, to your friends, to the kids at your school where you teach, and to all the many people who love and care about you. You're an incredibly strong, brave, beautiful soul, and (as I'm sure you know) you have so many people pulling for you. I pray you have a speedy and full recovery. Sending you healing vibes, strength and love ❤
J Mama I think we all are dehydrated to a degree. Actual thirst is a later symptom. Hard to comprehend. So many of us don't drink the amount of water (not mere liquid) each day that our body weight needs.
Cubby Levi absolutely. Water with electrolytes is all I ever drink. And I make sure to drink at least 50ounces a day. Maybe from the weather in Chicago and traveling she became that dehydrated.
They just thought that she was dehydrated because of her symptoms but it turned out to be cancer. I'm sure drinking all the water helped her body in other ways, but the fact that it didn't help her symptoms meant that something else was wrong, which unfortunately turned out to be cancer.
In the words of Geraldine Solon, "A lesson for all of us is that for every loss there is a victory, for every sadness, there is a joy, and when you think you've lost everything, there is hope." Hope keeps us alive and the ability to see it despite all things lies in the darkness you walk through in life. There is a community out here who supports you wholeheartedly and wants the best for you and I am a part of it. We start strong and finish strong, always.... - Ashanti C.
You're so beautiful and strong, the fact that you could even film this video is so inspiring, I hope you're doing well now, I can't imagine truly how scary that is for you.
@Courtelizz1 Get well soon. All my support from Spain. If you believe, you can beat the cancer. My prayers are with you!!!!. One of the most beautiful human being I ve seen in my life. Your eyes lights up our screens, never give up.
You don't need to cry.you need to be positive and bold.its easy to say.I have been to 2 brain tumors one in 2000 and next in 2004 and my right eyes is half I cant see.I don't walk straight. I have a lot of problems but I can ride a bike do my work and most importantly smile.its 15 years now. Cheer up my dear .I am now 55.saw both my kids get married.
I'm praying for you!! I really hope you get better! I'm so sorry that you have to deal with this, but you should know that you have so many fans pulling for you! We're wishing you the best!! Pull through it! Fight it and come out stronger on the other end! I love you💕!
I just found your channel and subscribed. I'm really sorry that this is all happening to you, but am send good thoughts and positive vibes your way for this surgery.
I've had a total of 3 and the last one was hemorrhaging all in less than 3 years. Non-stop, worst pain, lost vision temporarily-I went through the darkest years. I lost my independence, was abused and neglected from medical staff-life was really hard. I'm disabled, but stable. I don't know how I'm still here, alive, after the help I've experienced, but thank you for sharing. You feel alone and being sick is very isolating. I'm sorry you and many others experience this. I use my pain and experience to try to help others and fight all of us. Medical for all! Thanks so much for sharing your truth💗
Courtelizz1 im happy you are ok
Courtelizz1 heal soon 😘😘
Courtelizz1 you Will get over these Just be patient one day it will be just à memories trust me love you sweety
So glad she is doing well. I was diagnosed with a brain tumour when I was 25 in 2008. I'm doing well now and happy to help if you need a bit of advice for post-op xxx
Courtelizz1 I want to see n I'm so happy ur ok
🌺❤️🙏🏾
HARRY ORANGE thank you so much
What were your symptoms?
Warrior.
Gerry F
I want to stress that symptoms vary extremely. Which is why I ended up watching this video, besides the fact that I barely know anyone under 30 with a brain tumor and it's good to know you're not alone... this sounds weird but I hope it's understandable
But yeah my symptoms started becoming noticeable when I started losing my short time memory, our short term memory is able to keep information for 20 seconds, if it isn't repeated.
Mimosa Parkkonen thank you so much 😊
Hi Courtney - I'm not sure if you'll see this comment. Xoxo
Hannah Clough All the best regarding your own journey x
Hannah Clough Another ICU neuro nurse here and I totally agree with you. Courtney will get through this and we'll all send our prayers for you and your family ❤️
Hannah Clough Courtney will be comfort from your support.
God Bless✨
The saddest sound is the voice crack before someone cries. This was so sad to watch.
There's no humor when
it comes to tumors.
Just reading your post brought me to tears. 😢
Totally agree! 😭
I checked her twitter and instagram and was sooo relieved she is fine now. I like good news and I am happy when people manage to fight disease, whatever it is.
Thanks for letting us know..good news !!

She’s not “good now”... she doesn’t have a tumor or cancer but it is still a struggle for her to form words sometimes. Brain surgery is no joke, this has still impacted her three years later. :(
@@stephaniehalvorson4021 I know, but she is still a survivor, and very brave person.
Yessss i get overjoyed as well with good news thank God she pulled through
I miss you Ms.Warner and everyone you love and everyone who loves you will protect you and they will pray for you during ur surgery 😔😔
this is from your last hour student Alanah Wingfield I really miss you I love you😭😭😭💖💖😺 🙏
Suprise Sisters do you kids have more than two teachers? Fourth grade, right? I taught elementary for 29 years. The best years of my life. I know you ALL will pray and love on your teacher through all of this!
Suprise Sisters you guys are so sweet. This makes me want to cry, you are so lucky to have her as a teacher and she is lucky to have you as students!
Rosie thank you so much
Suprise Sisters I'm sure she would be a lovely teacher xx
I honestly don't know why I watch videos like this. I have a severe anxiety disorder so I get super anxious about me having things and awhile ago I just got over a delusion of having a brain tumour.... I hope she's okay
Cerriwddyn Knowles I have gone through that too liget it's horrible this comment helped me with how I've thought I have one too I didn't know other people feel like that too
Same. I’m currently terrified that I might have a brain tumor
me 2. I overthink and irrationalize over things that shouldn't be in the first place, especially over my health :(
I have anxiety too, but I watch her journey to remember how life can change in a minute. I am exhausted.
me too
I have stage 4 cancer and watching this made me realize I wasn’t alone! You are so beautiful and strong!
Emily Salley oh girl... Please get better!!!! I wish you the best recovery Emily!! ❤️
Emily Salley Im praying for u ♥️

My boyfriend had a stroke about 9 months ago and it affected his left temporal lobe where his speech, comprehension, reading and writing were affected. They had to do open his entire left temporal skull and when he woke up after 10 days, he couldn't say a word but with continuous therapy, he is slowly gaining 50 percent of it. He is doing great now and he is happy. We bought a dog for him and that really helped him. Don't lose hope and always see the brighter side of each struggle. I know you will do well!
Katrine Lee you are so brave 💞 the best of luck in your boyfriend's recovery 💜💜
God Bless You. You're the best.
Hey girl, I know this was posted months ago but how’s your bf doing?
💞 God is in control, hope you are doing well ❤️ love and prayers
Katrine Lee how is everything going now sweetie? Wish you two all the best!!
you can get through this. I have a very rare leukemia and somehow am still alive. I did 3 rounds of chemo and still need a transplant.
The human body is an amazing thing.
Desarae Colins honey I HOPE YOU'RE DOING GREAT AND YOU'LL FIND TRANSPLANT SOON, LOTS OF LOVE💜💜💜
Desarae Colins Hope you're doing okay love.
I am breezing through my bone marrow transplant thank you :)
Desarae Colins I'm glad you're doing well!! Please get better :)
Aww thank you so much ❤️
@@courtelizz1 thank God really happy for you
UA-cam is such a strange place because you feel like you know the person across the screen from you.
Elise Bowles you’re so inspiring!! ❤️
Elise Bowles PRAYERS and HUGS to you
Happy you're alive I just found out I have a pituitary tumor and it feels good to see I'm not alone
You're so strong ❤ God bless you dear

I hope you are feeling good today.
You guys are so strong it’s so beautiful ❤️
I'm a childhood cancer survivor. I was 3 when I had Nephroblastoma. I'm now 22 and been in remission since I was 4.
Which side you had a headache..??..

I didn't have a tumor but I had brain surgery and I know it's a scary situation to be in but know God is with you and he wouldn't give you something you couldn't handle!
wow your a really strong person. God bless you
It was a great experience to read your comment because I know God has special plans for you and your prosterity; that you are on Earth for an important reason!

We are all praying for your recovery to go well as possible!

My son had a (benign) brain tumour when he was 11yo, he's 16 now and has had the all clear since his brain surgery to remove it. It was terrifying as parents but for a child (or the person it's happening to) I can't imagine how scary that was for him/you. Best wishes with your journey ahead.x
PerfectFringe How long did she have it before she found out ?
Hey Courtney. I had a similar situation happen to me when i was 17. I kept having stomach problems and they did an MRI and found a cyst in my brain. Mine had to be taken out immediately bc of the location. I am 5 years post surgery. Praying for you and your family! You got this!!
How are you doing now Jade? I wish you the best!
I got diagnosed with a pituitary tumor and swelling it damaged my thyroid and developed a autoimmune disease but I'm fighting like heck stay strong
coco cakes get well soon
I have a pituitary tumour aswell. They put me on the well known cabergoline because it’s related to prolactin. But now I’ve been told they want to take me off cabergoline and watch the rumour grow. Once it reaches a certain size they will operate to take it out. Messed up but the side effects have ruined my life. Made me depressed and weight gain and so many other issues
coco cakes, Wish much love, best wishes and god bless.
Hope you are now doing well
I have this too!
You showed up in my feed, it's May 15th, and I pray that your surgery went well. You have a new viewer in me, and I will be waiting for your next video. God Bless!

First video I have ever seen of yours and I wish you luck and I am sending prayers your way! I hope everything went well!!
The one time you google your symptoms and it doesnt tell you you have cancer.
This is all going to work out
Bordeaux and the beautiful for some reason the ending of your post made me cry god is great and I'm happy for you and your son I have a son of my own and I can't imagine having to go through what you did
in Jesus Christ name I pray for you to have a complete recovery

Allegra Noelle what were your symptoms
Allegra Noelle I too had a benign brain tumor. It was located on my third ventricle and causing me headaches for months. Luckily they were able to remove my tumor with two surgeries, which took place over Christmas time this past year. I stayed in the hospital for 22 days, which were probably the worst 22 days of my life.
today is your operation and I'm sending many prayers your way, may God guide your surgeons hands 💕
I wish people could get regular MRI / cancer screenings to check on things regularly! (I bet it would make things a lot easier if we found out we had cancer earlier)
Robin's Branch I agree so much
Robin's Branch why isn't that done? Seems weird
Most of us, like myself, doesn't have the money to get regular MRIs and stuff of that sort.
Being exposed to that radiation would actually increase your risk for cancer formation so its a double edged sword
How did they catch it??
Hope you're feeling better!
omg! Yow did that happen?
65 pounds of what?
Nicole Flowers probably a weight
Katy, you are so incredible and thank you so much for sharing! God bless you, your amazing son and the rest of your family 💙
katy adams Thank u for sharing your story. Your son is amazing and strong and lucky to have you. Good luck to you and Devin..💜💜
my sister passed out at work once, and suffered from migraines most of her life. so we took her to the hospital and she had a brain tumor. she got it removed through surgery but the doctors made the mistake of not doing another MRI, pieces broke off from her brain all down her spine and spread to her bones. she died a year later (this was like 3 years ago) so it's nice to hear that it's not a death sentence for everyone (I'm not sure if that sounds insincere) I'm glad you're getting through it
I didn't know whether to "like or dislike" this video, although I hate what you're going through I chose to "like" it because I admire your strength and I know you'll overcome this. Praying for you and your family.
Sending many prayers your way! You're going to get through this. "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous hand." Isaiah 41:10

I am not your followers. I just saw this video randomly on youtube and i started the pray for you when I saw the title before even watch the video. I believe that surgery is going to go well and you are going to kick this tumor. Praying praying so hard for you! Please stay positive!!!! 💞
Ayse Snyder same sending her lots of prayers ❤️
i found out I had a brain tumor when I was 16 i didnt get it removed until I was 18. it was on my pituitary that nearly killed me. but I'm still trucking at 20 after everything I went through. I wish you luck on your journey!
Brina Weinschrott Don't worry that's nothing serious. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables and drink water and get at least seven hours of sleep
Ruby what?
Brina Weinschrott I second the "what??!" My sister had a pituitary tumor removed when she was in her 20s. It grew back and is watched by MRI. She also almost died after the surgery. Eating fruits and vegetables has absolutely nothing to do with this topic. Now my sister has a pituitary disease called acromegaly and is dying from that. Yet she still says that others have suffered far more than her. Before diagnosed with acromegaly, she had a huge aneurysm and almost died from that.
Brina Weinschrott What do you mean? A pituitary tumor can blind a person or kill them.
i have a microadenoma(basically tiny tumor) in my pituitary... it has been there for 8 years. my doctors just watch over it through MRI's. 😯
may everything go well with your surgery and i pray for a speedy recovery. god bless
I had a brain tumour too! It was fast growing and the scary part is the doctor said if it wasn’t removed I would die, and I could die from the surgery, but I’m okay now and I hope your fine to.
hi, how long ago was the op?
Im just so happy hear you both good now=)
🙏🏽
Your story is crazy
Was the tumor a Meningioma? They found one and say its most likely benign, unless they always tell people this?
Hope this helps, my mother had a tumor, and it affected her speech, and hearing, she came through with flying colors....good luck and god bless
I am so sorry for you 😢😢😢😢 Sending all my love from Brazil. Get better soon, we love you ❤❤❤
dear Ms Warner this is Elise Estes I love u n hope that u get better 💖💞💞💗💗
God bless you!🙌🙏 I have 2 brain aneurysms and I had 1 stroke and I know how u feel! God bless you!🙌💻
God Bless you also, stay strong, regards from Ireland 🍀🇮🇪
How are you doing x
Remember the bible says our tounge is the steerage of our ship so we should never say bad things about ourself. Instead we should say, "I don't have brain aneurysms and I am completely healthy in Jesus' name." Jesus is Lord of all, His name has power and is healing. Always only speak good things about yourself. Pray every day in Jesus' name and always Tithe faithfully. Me and my family have been healed many times through my Tithing also.
I hope your ok 👍
God bless you as well. You are a warrior and you got through that intense experience. You are strong! Much love. ❤️🙏

Sending you my love & prayers ❤️
I look forward to your next video, but please don't feel rushed... your recovery is most important right now.
hey Ms.Warner this aniyah Whitfield my prayers go out to you😘😴🙏

Man I can’t believe I just found you. My brain tumor was found in March 28. I went from “watchful waiting” to Aug8 “you need surgery ASAP” because my tumor was fast growing. I just got it removed Sep 19. It’s been a tough recovery. I’m so glad I found you. I’m about to binge watch your journey. 💓💖 keep strong love.
Kass Ignacio Hope you are doing well! ❤
How are you doing?
I’m doing pretty good. I lost some of my hearing on my left ear from the surgery. My head is still numb in several areas. My left eye has blind spots. It could’ve been worse. I have a one year follow up. Thank you guys for asking!

Gabrielle Fluker 💜
Gabrielle Fluker I taught elementary for 29 years. The words and love from students...you can't put a price on that!!
What amazing students!!! Your parents are raising you right!!!! 💙
I have always said they should do yearly checkups on everyone to check for cancer/tumors and catch it early before it grows. Wish they would do that
Rayelizabeth The scans can cause tumors and cancer... so they can't do them as often as they want to. 😓
Scans and xrays container amounts of radiation that if exposed to as much can cause cancer
I think we have that in sweden but idk
I never comment but I just want you to know that I am a strong believer that everything happens for a reason. I believe that all things happen so the glory of God may be manifested. And I know yOu will get through this. I send much love, many prayers , and a whole lotta strength for you and your family.
Xoxo T
jeeze kind of crazy you can still even smile shit like this would eat me alive
I really hope everything works out for you it makes me sad when I hear anything like this
I hope everything went smoothly, sweet girl!

Awww my darling angel 😭😭 this broke my heart. Praying for you my love ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm grateful to you for filming this video. I recently had a brain tumour removed too, and hearing your story was helpful to me.
Sending positive, healing energy your way.
Just curious, why were you so dehydrated? How did you get to that point? I'm glad you'll be ok!
