I thought the stereotype was true, until I started scribing for a neurosurgeon. The most hard-working, caring, respectful, and humble doctor I’ve ever encountered!
I always had this misconception that neurosurgeons didn't had any time to spend outside of the hospital, but I was proven wrong by you, Thank you very much ❤
As a patient who has worked with you, I found you to be a great doctor. I literally referred myself to you. I didn’t see an a$$hole at all but a doctor who was very thorough & diligent. I hate to hear you left & now I have to go back & meet your replacement.
Wonderful video. I had a lumbar surgery and when I was being discharged from my neurosurgeon's post-op care, he left the room for a while. When he came back, he apologized for the wait, he was learning how to put in his own PT orders in the EMR. Totally blew me away that he just did not have one of his staff do it for him.
I'm a psychologist who is married to a neurosurgeon. You nailed it! Although (as in any profession), there are some exceptions who might actually fit the stereotype. But overall, I agree with you completely. Neurosurgeons rock!
Thank you for another amazing video, Dr. Rutkowski. I hope that someday you can make a video about why you chose to become a neurosurgeon and how you came to realize that it's your calling. Thank you so much, Dr, and God bless!
It's okay to be an a**hole that knows some stuff. The ones that don't are good ones to stay away from. Doctors, machinists, electronics repair people, welders, oilfield management, mechanics, etc. can all have the stereotypical personalities, but if they are excellent at their practice/craft/vocation, these folks deserve respect.
Another great video and another comment and compliment from my side. Though this time and further on, I don't expect you to remember, haha. All the best!
having a deep understanding about how the brain works but not know the reason why it does has to be deeply frustrating, in the end you can learn as much as you want about the brain and the workings of it but not ever know why we have consciousness, where it comes from...why is even reality? something many have theories about, have intuition when we feel like we personally find the answer but never fully knowing...I suppose thats how alot of science goes when you break it down, the real question isnt how its why?
Hello dr , I was looking for a neurologist on youtube . I have a doubt. Recently while dancing I shook my head little vigorously. Now i feel bit dizzy . Is it normal will it be ok . Please tell dr am confused😢
❇️Please i need answer.. Is it true that neurosurgery is not suitable for nervous people? It requires great endurance? I am really a nervous person, but I love this specialty. Do you recommend it to me??
around 2:38 you said about sucessful surgeries, how do you feel about all cancerous tumors that are more likely fatal? i know it must be hard, but is giving them a month more so much? for me one month more or less isnt as much of the deal, but im no surgeon

Good chance that it was recorded in a hospital in place of "unnecessary" patient pre-op visit. :))

Honestly, if the dude fastening lose screws had no confidence, that would concern me more 😂

Thanks for watching!
I had the need to speak to numerous neurosurgeons and they were all caring and exceptional people. One saved my son's life.

I absolutely love this!
Nice!
Please react to the viral video of a neurosurgeon who quit and lives in the mountains. I want to know your thoughts on his points.
if you don't mind me asking what did you major in for your bachelors?
