What gets me, is any prior special treatment for Aboriginals, was to offset wrongdoing and discrimination against individuals, based on their race. And yes, it did happen, whites were preferred over blacks when it came to jobs, got treated better all round etc. This happened when those discriminating, could tell by appearance, who they were dealing with. Having some ancestor five or six generations back, with no outwardly sign that could result in you being discriminated against, somehow qualifies you for special treatment now?

If details are not recorded, or incorrectly recorded, how do they know that they are aboriginal? Have they just decided that they prefer to be aboriginal? Fashionable ?
At most peoples births, their grand parents and often grand parents were alive, who had a living memory of their grand parents or great grand parents. For a culture that has a tradition of passing down its history through stories how hard is it to know your families last 150+ years of history? I know mine.
Thank you for exposing these frauds Andrew.
And exposing himself.
Nothing new this has been going on since I was a young kid in the 70s
I identify as special indigenous. Thanks to all my white friends who acknowledge me as first in th area. 😂😂😂
👍😂😂😂😂
Like special Olympics special?
The only solution is to remove any incentives in claiming to be indigenous. No grants. No university positions. No direct employment in the indigenous industry.
Establish a reconciliation process, the sooner the better.
@@geofflecren8827 Reconcile for what? Be honest with yourself and admit - Aboriginals really don't want to live traditionally and are much better off now.
Maybe reconciliation could be a 'thanks' from the Aboriginal industry to those who saved them from the backwards and was barbaric culture that left them them with nothing to show for 40k+ years.
@ibanezlaney Another keyboard warrior that confuses his opinions with facts. The facts stand for themselves and don't require you to agree for them to be true. That's why your way of thinking will soon be a thing of the past as the younger generation wakes up to these truths. Treaty, reconciliation will happen. Welcome to country!

Australians are sick of these false claims. The plight of our indigenous population is never helped by people that have no aboriginal DNA. I want to see our aboriginal population get the educational, health and financial outcomes they deserve. The imbalance between the black and white is terrible. We need to come together to solve this crisis now god knows enough $$$ is being thrown at it . Something is missing and we need to all Australians supported
As an adopted person I was so happy when I found out who my natural parents were. My mother English and my father Aboriginal. I finally have a background. I now have a family tree on both sides, my Aboriginal line directly to my main grandfather and recorded by Norman Tindale. It gave me a sense of self and belonging. Funny thing is my English mother really didnt want an out in the open relationship but my fathers family all Aboriginal -welcomed me with open arms.BTW Im 62.
Sorry but if you allow men to claim to be women and use my bathroom - I’ll continue to claim aboriginal identity and connection to country due to the fact I was born on this soil. Can’t have it both ways.
We have the same style of phonies in the states. They’re all grifters.
Only the Full Blood indigenous Aboriginal Should Claim Heritage .
That would be., what....1000 at a push?
Jacinta has an aboriginal mother and a white father. She would therefore be a half-cast. In my opinion she does appear to be part aboriginal but just look at some of those claiming aboriginality.
If there’s money in it, I’m aboriginal too 😂

@stephenaustin142, that would be a NO
That sounds.ds serious
This happened to me, sitting at conference table meeting staff for first time (i was new to the job) there was a red haired, bright white skin female and another dark skinned, black haired female. I was told that there was an "indigenous" female working at the company. You guessed it..... the red hair/bright white skinned female was supposedly the "indigenous" one, the dark skinned female was part Maori. The supposedly "indigenous" female knew zero about anything aboriginal, but just bleated left wing tropes. The idiocy of the situation is only surpassed by the $$$$ she and the company got (tax payer$) for being "indigenous"
So glad the NO vote won!
I didn't vote at all!
This can’t be allowed to continue. FFS
Why would anybody want to claim they are Aboriginal, Oh yes that's right for the money they can claim!
Caucasians get more handouts.
Need some DNA testing, a quarter or less aboriginal DNA then you're out of the aboriginal industry.

I have Irish and British heritage. I may be related to Ned Kelly, but suddenly I identify as Indigenous now, where’s my block of land 😂
On Par with the NDIS.
NDIS Gonski... another Gillard failure. We can thank Gillard for changing the definition of a woman by another of her gross behaviour legislation
I new an aboriginal guy he told me he was from the gimme gimme tribe he was joking.he could see the humour in it.😅
Even in the event that some remote ancestor was Aboriginal, so what? Why does that outweigh the White heritage? Does anyone care what your great grandmother was?
Only the ones who benefit from being aboriginal.
It’s certainly worth having a go at claiming Aboriginal heritage, with all the free money and enhanced advantages that go with it. Why wouldn’t you?
Why am I not surprised, political class in the main, are no different

Whitlam was sacked for a very good reason. Pity the current PM can't be sacked. Both absolutely the worst PMs since Billy Hughes
Andrew should identify as Aboriginal himself as a social experiment.
Maybe if everyone in Australia identified as indigenous, that would end it.

$43 billion per year.
55% of Australia is owned by Native Title now with much of what is left under claims & since the 450 million dollar Voice referendum NO Vote was totally disregarded Albo gave Abo’s 95% of Qld Toobeah township the next week as an extra slap in Aussies face, new freehold claims are popping up everywhere including Fraser Island Resort and privately owned townships, Great Keppel Island, the Islands renaming, freehold claims of Noosa Heads & Mt Coolum areas, they are also taking us to high court to claim damages for the harm we have done to their land, CO2 emissions, resources, etc, the list goes on.
This is just one of the ways woke Albo & Labor have f**ked us and this will keep getting worse before Labor is out. They say, ‘You will have nothing and be happy.’
50% plus or nothing. This B.S. of claiming to be something your not is nonsense.
Force anyone claiming aboriginal to have DNA taken and 3 labs to publish the results. Anyone not 100% aboriginal must be publicly declared and removed from any claims.
Just pay your taxes and leave the thinking to the smart people.
Meghan Markle claimed to be 43% Nigerian and was feted as a Nigerian princess on her recent quasi Royal tour....the Nigerian government took her at face value and treated her and Harry accordingly. The government of Nigeria has now requested to see the records showing MM's heritage, on 2 or more occasions....they are yet to receive an acknowledgement of their request, and I would suggest that they don't hold their breath....people like Markle and these academics are devisive users, who for some reason are allowed to get away with their deception....it's about time that they are called to book and provide the PROOF of their claims because they are getting away with an abuse of power and position....and I for one, am sick of it.

Why academics? Because academia is quite used to fakery. I know a woman promoted to Professor of Psychology who had never studied psychology in her life.

How about a blood test or DNA testing I bet that won't happen
The shocking thing here is that these people blatantly lie and deny the truth. These are people we would normally hold up as worthy of respect and authority. How can they walk among us as law abiding citizens when they are outright deceivers.History shows us that people who lie about one aspect of their life, have no qualms in lieing about other areas. This is disturbing as they are often in positions of authority!
Jacinta price and Warren Mundine have white heritage in them, but not white enough for the right to call them fakes.

DNA doesn’t lie ..they should all show their DNA results
You know what "D.N.A." means?..."Definitely Not Aboriginal"!
We need to call them out, and any money they have claimed should be returned
They need a proper DNA test.
Imagine a person who presented as white, complete with light hair colour, in America declaring they were African American.
Yet, in Australia, the claims of aboriginality by such people go largely unquestioned.
In any case, how is having 1 great grandparent being that while the entire 90% of the rest of your ancestors being non, justify such a claim?
The African American is really the real aboriginal American. The native Americans are really the first immigrants. Blacks in America can’t even get reparations.
